That's a good question. JKR never really mentioned what happened to Snape's family, did she? I'd like to think that he gives a little something to Harry, given that he was Lily's son.

Again, the Today Show interview has revealed more information. Now that the books are over, JKR is no longer hesitant to share any information.

HERE is the link to more and more answers as to what has happened to our beloved character.

Highlights:
Victoire is, in fact, Bill and Fleur's eldest child.

Harry and Ron "revolutionized" the Auror Department at the Ministry of Magic, and Harry is the Department Head.

Hermione is "high up" in the Department of Magic Law Enforcement.

The Trio, who were at odds with the Ministry for so long, revolutionize the Ministry and turn it into a "really good place to be. They made a new world."

Luna, a naturalist, is traveling and looking for "various mad creatures."

EDIT: As we all know, the last word in the book was going to be 'scar'. J.K. Rowling, in Part 2 of her interview, which I'm watching as we are talking, said that the last sentence would have been something like:
"Only those who loved him most would be able to see his lightning scar."

Also, J.K. Rowling said that once before the book was released, Dan Radcliffe asked, "Do I die?"
She answered him in a whisper where only he could hear, "You get a death scene!"

So technically, Dan knew something about the books that no one else did, but as JKR said, Dan is a smart guy, and probably knew that answer was very vague...

The one who performed magic was Ted Tonks..I think ..because he was a muggle but he Mended Hagrid's bone..
But what did Dudley see when Dementor came?
and the veil..the most frustrating thing about not being told....

Ted Tonks isn't a Muggle. He's a Muggleborn. So, he wasn't the one.

I think everyone said that Dudley saw him with the pig's tail. I think that's a little anticlimactic, but...

I mean, Snape and Dudley both actually caring about him, thats weird, considering that they both seemed to hate him in all of the other books. Why wait until hes in mortal danger to care????

2. What were James,Lily, Sirius's jobs?
3. Who were some of Lily's friends?
4. How exactly did James and Lily get together?
5. What's Sirius's birthday?
6. What did Lupin want to do for a living?
7. What were the names of both James & Lily's parents?
8. Who are the other kids Fluer & Bill had? (JKR mentioned Victiore was their eldest child)
9. What did Dudley see?
10. Whats the names of Molly and Arthurs other grandchildren?
11. If they got married, Who did George, Percy, & Charlie marry?
12. How did James & Lily's parents die?
13. When exactly did James fall in love with Lily?
14. Did anyone else die that we knew of?
15. When did Peter join the deatheaters?
16. What did some of the other students, that we knew, do for a living?
17. How long was Kingsley Minister of Magic?
18. Who was the heir of Gryffindor? My brother keeps suggesting diff people and now I really want to know.
19. What did James & Lily's parents do for a living?

I know I can think of more but I need to put some more thought into it....

One thing that i was really mad about was the veil thing. I thought that that was supposed to be something big in later books.

Well, Rowling did say in the interview that she couldn't include the entire Hogwarts family trees into the book. Although that would be a nice side book...

1) Dudley saw:

In the MSNBC interview JKR did hint toward Neville/Luna but in the webchat she said:

If you remember, the Death Eaters got his body.

He married Hannah Abott.

He became an Auroa like he intended.

"Did George continue with Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes?"
Yes, and Ron helped.

"Who raised Ted?"
His grandmother Andromeda Tonks.

"What did Harry and Ginny do for a living after Hogwarts"
Harry - Auroa, Ginny - Captain of the Holyhead Harpies quiditch team and after retireing from that, became a quiditch representetive for the Daily Prophet.

"Who are the parents of Victoire's. I'm thinking its Bill and Fluer's but not sure."
Yes it was Fluer and Bill.

"What do the Trio do now (job wise)?"
Ron - Weasley's Wizarding Weezes before becoming an Auroa.
Hermione - Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures then she became head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement .

"What were Harry's parents' jobs?"
They were full time members of the OOTP. They were only 21 when they died so they didnt have much time to have anymore jobs.

"Who did Draco marry"
Astori Greengrass, the younger sister of Daphnee Greengrass.

"Hadn't Ted finished Hogwarts"
Yes, he was at hogwarts seeing off Victorie.

"How can Ron speak parseltounge if he cant speak it all?"
He copied what Harry did to open the locket.

"The person who showed magic late in life was probably Ariana, Dumbledore's sister."
Ariana Dumbledore died remember.

Yes, and she restored there memories.

Neville - Herbology Teacher.
Luna - Married Rolf Scamander, the grandson of Newt Scamander who wrote Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. They had twin boys named Lorcas and Lysander. Luna and Rolf both became Naturalists and discovered many different animals and plants.

Harry stayed in contact with Dudley, and visited him only when they were in the the area, something that James, Albus and Lily would dread.

It is a family heirloom as they are desendents of Salazar Slytherin. Read HBB to get the story.

"If Voldemort's soul was in Harry, making him a partial Horcrux, how come Harry was always good and able to love...and not dangerous to others like the Horcrux locket that they carried around?"
Because he had his mothers protection.

"What did Dumbledore really see in the Mirror of Erised?"
His family.

"Does Harry's son James have a second name like his brother, Albus Severus?"
James Sirius, Albus Severus and Lily Luna.

"Why did Dumbledore ever get married?"
Because he was gay.

He was obssessed with Dragons so he never married or had any children.

Because all she cared about was that her son was safe, so she saved Harry to thank him for telling her.

How did Peter Pettigrew get into Gryffindor? I mean, has it actually been confirmed he was in this house? We all really assumed he was because he was a Marauder, so if he was, how could he get into a house that valued bravery most of all? His last act wasn't really out of bravery, so he didn't really prove himself after all (despite me hoping he would).

It is really bugging me now!

I think the veil was sort of left open to our own individual interpretation. The way I viewed was as a sort of "heaven." Or whatever you believe in and want to call it. Just, you know, a place where departed souls go to after their death, assuming they don't take the de Mimsy Porpington route and stick around.

Am I the only one who didn't think the veil had any further significance beyond Sirius falling into it?

I think he would have liked to work within the minsitry, maybe not something as strong as an auror, but something more like an inspector or something. But, because of his obivous state he couldn't. and maybe, he might have been worried that the ministry digging into his past might uncover something about his friends underage animagus staus.

Luna get married with Newt Scamander's son, Rolf Scamander; and has twins named Lorcas and Lysander (for more information read CaityCrucio's post above)

I'm a litte confuse about:
1. At the end of book 3, it said that Fred and George 'had scraped a handful of OWLs each' ( HPPoA page 313 UK edition ). I mean, Harry's OWLs came out MONTHS after the tests, didn't they? Why Fred and George's came out at the end of the term?

2. At the end of book 7, Harry was able to talk with Dumbledore via his portrait at Headmaster's Office. Why didn't Harry take Dumbledore's photo with him all the time? Of course he'd got it from Chocolate Frogs card, newspaper articles, or maybe Rita Skeeter's book. He can ask him for informations whenever it needed.
And if that works, so Harry might able to talk to Sirius again. He has Sirius photos. And his parents! He has a lot of their photos in the photo album!

It works with Aberforth too, remember? He didn't need that Stone anymore, he has Ariana's portrait!

P.S sorry for my english...
