Default How long did you take to finish the book?

I took 5 and a half hours. Living in Singapore, our release time was 7.01am. I got my book at 7.48am by special delivery and I wrapped the book up first before reading. *grin* Dad called me to lunch at about 11.50am and I started again at 12.30pm finishing at 2.30pm. Lol. Dad didn't expect me to finish it so soon! He has it now and can't seem to put it down! He hasn't read the first 4 books. Never too late to become a Potter fan I always say! Wheee!

I took a lot longer than i thought i would, probably about 8 hours in total as I was being constantly interrupted by my cousins and other assorted family members.

I definately think i read it too fast though, as i completely missed hermione and ron snogging in the battle chapter. DUH.

12 hours from publication.

That included travel time from the bookstore, two meal breaks and a bit of play time with my (mostly neglected) kids. Probably about 10 hours in total.

I always thought I was a fast-reader. Yet, 5 HOURS is freakin insane.

I had the book in my hands around 12:30 or so....But, my friend was acting like a tard and claimed that since I made him come with me...We'd have to take part in the little party at B&Ns. XD So, he stole the book and I didn't get it back until 2 or so when I got home. I instantly began reading and I believe I finished around 11 am today. No breaks. Wait, no never mind...I lied. After the first death, I did manage to get online and talk to Lizzie and others for a few about it before returning to read. And, I could've perhaps taken a nap somewhere in between breakfast... XD

But yeah...more or less, 9 hours or so.

i had it done 9 and a half hours after it was released, but that includes a hour of sleep, a half hour of car ride and standing in line, a half hour of looking for my lost puppy [we found her! lol. shes so little that shes always getting lost around the house.] a half hour of talking on the phone [i got scared when harry almost drowned, and even though it wasn't light outside yet, i called my best friend and made her calm me down before i would continue reading] and a half hour of yelling at my brother and sister.

so it took me about six and a half hours, but that also had to do with the fact that i was so excited that i read so fast that i was only skimming it, so i couldnt remember anything and had to read each sentance twice.

Probably took me 4-5 hours of actual reading time. I read bits and pieces over the night and finished it early this afternoon.

Purchased the book 9am yesterday, due to not being able to go at midnight, for lack of money, then finished at around 2pm. That's five hours. I read really fast.

Well I didnt constantly read I took little breaks. But I would have to say around 17 hours. Im a slow reader when it comes to things that really interest me. I tend to analyze things, and analytical skills are best when u read slow

It took me two hours. I read nonstop, barely breathing, in my 'Snape is innocent' t-shirt.

After I'd tracked down a copy (my mother had ordered one, but I just couldn't take the what-ifs of waiting for it), I used 10 1/2 hours, but I conciously didn't rush through it so I might catch the whole story.
