The book took so much time to sink in that I totally forgot that we never knew what that thing was! *thinks* It's really hard... In my opinion, there are too many meanings that can be given to it... Yours is pretty valid, i think! *goes to research*
Anywho! I have to say this was THE best book EVER! Not only HP, but my favorite book of all times, and I've read quite a lot of books...
I agree with it being an amazing emotional rollercoster! I've never cried with any of the previous books, but especially the part when Harry brought back his parents, Sirius and Lupin with the stone and knew he had to die, made me sob like a baby!
I was on the edge of my seat at all times! All the amazing twists and all of the unanswered questions, finally answered in such a creative, unbelievable way! One of teh things I liked best of how the book was written was that problems and conflicts and battles and so many twists were introduced from the very beginning and troughout the whole entire book! Not like the previous books, where there was usually one big battle at the end or something liek that...
I had to re-read the whole Snape story over and over again, 'cause it was so difficult to assimilate and SUCH a brilliant twist! All I could think about was that JK is a genius, and that her mind is just marvellous...
My only complaint was that the epilogue threw me off a bit, 'cause I just couldn't imagine my young, teen characters to be all grown up, have kids and be married... I still can't really accept that happened... But I do think it was needed, 'cause if not, too many questions would be left unanswered... And of course, I needed a happy ending after all of the things that had happened!
Overall, amazing, flawless, incredible book! |

Egypt Greenwood Magical Maintenance | i cant say that i liked this book at all, i dont know i was hoping for more of life after hogwarts, she just kinda of threw that ending in there to shut us up from badgering her to write another HP book, i mean i just didnt like this book at all. Im glad that she didnt kill Draco, and im still reeling about the whole Snape and Dumbledoor i think that was brillant and i never say that coming but i may have to reread ths book to really consider liking it, but POA is still my favorite book |

| i loved it but it wasn't my favourite.
i'm still undecided about the ending, i wanted to hear about everyon - luna, the rest of the weasly family, the malfoys, the rest of the order,
and even though it told us harry and ginny are together with kids, so are ron n hermione, it told us nothing of what they're actually doing, that dissappointed me slightly |

Hogwarts RPG Name: unsorted | i absolutly LOVED the book it was AWESOME especially R/Hr (kissing soooo sweet) and harry misses Ginny all the time (cute), and the couples at the end are great but i wish it told u weather luna and neville got together or not. my fave bit is in the epaluige when james comes up to Harry and Ginny and says "He's snogging Victoire!" lol funny as, then ginny says "ur just like ron" and that reminded me of wen he walked in on ginny and harry snogging on harry's 17th! R/N wer cute as and im marrying either teddy james or albus cos ther all adorable! |

| I was disappointed. It didn't even feel like a Harry Potter book. A lot of the characters were incredibly OOC( yes, I know this is canon but some of the characters were nothing like the previous books) way too many plot holes that it wasn't even funny. The camping seemed to be a waste of pages that could have been filled with actual story development. A lot of the feuds that I was looking forward to also weren't resolved. What happened to Severus vs. Harry? Nope sorry all we get is a Snape that I didn't recognize to die and lay at Harry's feet as he oh so conveniently handed him the information to defeat Voldemort. Its like she cut corners in her characterization to end the book.
Now i don't mean to insult those who liked it, if you did thats really great. I'm glad a lot of you were able to get your moneys worth. I'm still a hardcore Potter fan and eternally grateful to JK for creating the world I just think...no I KNOW she could have done so much better.
The only thing I really liked about it was Barons tale which was actually beautifully thought out, besides that I wish DH hadn't existed.

| I liked it but I was expecting a really big fight from Harry and Voldemort it just seemed like that fight had been done before and it had it was the same as the one in Goblet of Fire. I would have liked for a few more spells to have gone at Harry with Voldemort slowly realising the spells weren't working properly |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Ms Isabella Lestrange-Wood Graduated Ministry RPG Name:
Isabella Lestrange-Wood Accidents & Catastrophes | second time i read it , i though id was better, cos i found it a bit jumpy sometimes, and a lot of plot garbage she wanted you to know. but i loved it .
My fav is POA, so i dont think its the best one, cos i love POA and read it when ever i can. But DH is amazing and so happy about the ending, i hope the film will do it justice thought and not try to glam it up, cos i thought it was quite raw. Quote:

To me, I thought it was the generalization of all evil in the living world that had to pay the price for all it had done in the living world...?? But I'm probably wayyyy off here... |
I took it as the soul attached to Harry, the last horcrux that was attached to him that was dying when he was 'killed', i assumed that this was what voldy was like after the avada spell hit him and he fled, represented in this limbo place.
I thought as it was Kings Cross that this represented the coming and going of a soul, the white light moment. Harry can go back but the part of Voldys soul knows it is destroyed and therefore is in that state.
Dumbledore says not to look at it or something., this is another Dumbledore protecting Harry from the truth moment.
Thats my opinion...

| I thought it was satisfying. There were a few things that drove me crazy like when Ron left for a while and why Voldemort never tried to take over the world. Sounds cliche, but I'm curious about that. He only went after Hogwarts, when he seemed evil enough to come across other nations. The deaths of Fred, Snape, Lupin, and all the heroic characters were heartwrenching. Still after it was done, DH was a wonderful read and every chapter pulsated with great suspense. It was just a good way to end things for the entire series too. It was like a happily ever after, but a rough cut out version for Harry. And R/Hr wins. I love Harry Potter! haha |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Jensen Cummings First | I have finally decided that I loved the book! At first I think that I was so overcome with saddness that the book was over but after I read it the third time I was completely set on the fact that I loved it. Like everyone else has already said, IT WAS A ROLLAR COASTER RIDE OF EMOTIONS! I was crying and laughing and AHHHing throughout that entire book. I even cried some to! lol... But overall I thought that JK went out with a BANG!! |
