So Dan's staring in a new film, what are your opinions on it?

Yep, that's true alright. I mean, when a young actor performs such a demanding role as Dan does in Equus, I'm pretty sure that he is up to pratically anything concerning acting. Besides, as you have already pointed out, Matt, during a film there will be cuts and possibilities to re-shoot a scene so I am more than sure that he'll be able to be part of another beautiful film and role ^^

Anyway, I find it terrific that Dan is taking part on films concerning what war does to people and such. I think that it'll help people to stop thinking of him as 'the kid who plays Harry Potter' if they don't stop thinking that way after Equus of course

I so want to see it when it comes out or get it or what ever. Because I love those type of moives. And the last line is true. I have a friend that is fighting in the war right now. And I haven't heard from her in a bit. So it is true.

I wonder what's going to happen in the film though... It's strange to be used to know sort of exactly what has been filmed for the HP films and then not be able to know a thing of what's in store for other films where Dan performs. Has anyone got any theories and such? ^^

Haha! Yes! This defo IS Dan's and Harry Potter's year, isn't it? After all, there'll be DH, OotP, Equus (darn, I'd like to watch it), MBJ and DB, more than enough reasons to make this year be awesome, eh?

Dan is, I think, taking very good roles to play outside HP. He's professional enough to know what he's doing.

Yes, I believe so too. I just hope he isn't doing this just because he wants people to stop seeing him as Harry Potter, because that will be quite hard in my opinion =/

wow, i think this is a really good role for him. I think it shows a softer, yet more grown up side of Dan. I am definatley going to see this movie when it comes out!

I think it'll do his career good. After Equus, this should soften opinion of him, after all, the press was really hard on him.

I so can't wait for My Boy Jack to come out in America. I whatced some scence on YourTube and it looks amazing. I was telling my dad about it and he thinks it sounds good. War moive teach you alot. thats why I like them. I learn so much more. But i'm so getting it in April and whating it. I'm excited. I think that dan did do the role justice. He has come so far as an actor and continues to grow everye time we see him do somehting new. And I think MBJ has help that so much.

I managed to get to watch it, and I live in the US (I love YouTube, hehehe) Jack Kippling was my favorite character, go figure. Dan was awesome playing Jack, he really was. I told myself that I wouldn't cry when it came to the death scene, hopefully everyone knows that Jack dies, anyway, after that scene I cried my eyes out. And of course I watched it in the early morning so after I watched the movie I couldn't sleep cuz I was still crying.
Anywhoo, I'm not a big fan of war movies, never have been, but My Boy Jack is definately one of my favorite movies, Dan was amazing in the movie, and he really brought Jack out to us.
Okay, I'll stop no before I keep repeating myself and probably end up making no sense at all, if I haven't done that already.

I so agree. When it come out in the states i'm buying and having my husband whatch it. He still thinks Dan's 14. So maybe seeing that will help know that hes not. Plus i think Dan in a war moives will be so cool to see.

It is a great movie, definately must see movie, and that's saying something when I absolutely despise war movies *sigh* plus him in uniform, perfect! LoL

I liked to movie! But it was SO SAD! I was so crying in the end!

Oh my gosh I just saw MY Boy Jack last night and it was amazing. Dan did a really good job in it. It made me asad at the end. I wasnted to cry. But he has proven himself as an actor and did a really good job. I am so buying My Boy Jack on DVD it comes out tommorow. I wish I pre ordered but didn't have time. But it was well done and fast paced and didn't drag on thats what made it good and also helped that Dan was in and looked hot.
