I think you've touched an interesting point, Matt
I don't know exactly if Dan does miss his life without the acting and such or if he doesn't because like House says 'Everybody lies' and I don't think that our Dan doesn't.
However, he does look like he's enjoying himself with all of this 'business' and that kind of makes me think that he does not miss his earlier life. But then again, he did say in interview a while ago that he didn't feel that well when he was with people of his age, or if he didn't say that it was something that sort.

Well, I think it's a half and half situation. I'm sure Dan loves acting...and working to please all his fans. But I'm sure a part of him, even if it's small, would love to hang out more and be a regular kid. He's said in an interview that when he does come back home for a short break, his friends are glad to see him, because they hardly ever see him.

Exactly *nods* I mean, sure, he hangs out with Emma, Rupert and the rest of the other teens during shooting and such but I'm sure it's not the same thing as the friends he 'acquired' during in his life and not during a film, which probably doesn't make him feel the same way.

I agree with you. However, listening to him in interviews and such, he seems to always be around friends and have a normal lifestyle (aside from working). He's got a good head on his shoulders for such a famous teenager boy, and I don't think the fame goes to his head. So I think he's fine, but I bet there are regrets he has that he'll never say to anyone.

yeah, i think this is a REALLY good point and im sure that he DOES miss some of the things that normal teenagers do. I'm sixteen and i go out to friends houses or the mall or something almost every friday and sometimes almost every night. this is something i really enjoy doing, but im sure Dan never gets to do something like this since he's either shooting a lot and needs rest or he's just really busy with his career and doesn't have time to do these kinds of things. although, im sure he does still have time to be a teen!!!

yeah,i think tht dan has tried 2 lead a normal life so he has enjoyed his teen life in a way despite his fame n acting schedule..

i think dan seems a pretty normal teen 2 me..hangs out w. his pals,catches up w. emma sometimes,drinks beer,plays his guitar,listens 2 rock songs,goes 2 football matches...whatever...

so he has not lost his teen life while filming...maybe in a way he wont be ever ordinary cuz he's alwiz known as hpotter but am sure he knows how 2 enjoy life..

I think that being an actor has made him grow up in some areas... he's probably more responisble than most kids our age, but then again a lot of young actors are very irresponisble - so I think it's partly because of his envirorment and partly because of himself... and just because you're a tad more mature and responisble it doesn't mean that he can't let loose and have fun - he might just see fun in something else than the stereotypical teenager...
So I don't think he's missed out on being a teenager - his teen years have just been different, and that's pretty normal right? I mean, it's different for everyone and if he's happy with his teen life then I don't think people need to worry about it.

I think he did..He was very busy with his movies and shows.How can he be able to do things a typical teenager does?..but i think he is also happy with what he is right now.As his fan,we just have to support him with his decisions.

i think acting opens up many doors for people, life-wise, but when your so famous, such a celebrity, i think it's hard to trust people. as in, whether their being your friend because they like you, or your famousness. so maybe he misses friendship?

I think he has had a good teenager life. But i think he misses some of the things he can do. But he dose have a good head on his shoulders for a teenager and he dose spend time with his friends. and leads a good like. its like he said in a interview. "theirs a diffrence between british kid actor and american kids actors british kid actors they treat you like a kid first and then a celeb, in america its a celeb first than a kid." I agree with that. And i think that being treated like a kid first has helped him live a noramal as possible teenage life.

They probaley do. But i think that his parents had a better job of that and made him keep his head on straight. But I still think he's just like any other teenage boy that just wants to have fun. But still likes his job.

Excatly. I think thats a key into not being so snotty as an actor. And he's doing a great job of not being aragonet(sp)
