Ok, so now we have a new thread. As is fitting:

Mathi closed out the last one *takes the cotton out so you can hear* ahem, I said, Mathi closed out the last one, and I get to start this one off.
So, I was thinking about this the other night and discussing it with my son. What do you think the ride to Hogwarts would have been like in DH, especially for the DA? D'you think they had a clue what was coming?

I hope this thread gets busy cuz I have a looooooong week of caring for sick babies ahead of me, and I need the break/distraction.

I believe they would've prepared for anything, since the HBP. But the DA could've also been scared since Harry and his friends weren't around. What do you guys think?

Well we knew for sure a few of then were disheartened when Harry, Ron & Hermy left in DH because Neville had to keep telling them that the trio would return. But I think whether or not the trio returned the DA members would have fought.

i think the DA never expected the final battle to be at hogwarts and yeah like alicia said most of them never expected the trio to comeback so they fought for the purpose of hogwarts!!then finally they must all have been very happy to show the DE that they were he DA!!!!

I think the DA would have been a little bit worried as to where Hermione, Ron and Harry were, but since they hadn't met since Umbridge was kicked out they couldn't have known what was going to happen. I think that they saw the Carrows as a slightly better version of Umbridge (seeing as they weren't hypocrites) and a challenge they had to face. They were miserable and like Neville said, standing up to them gave everyone more hope and courage.

well i also wondered what happened to the DA members after the war!whom did they marry?what did they do??and neville!i seriously thought he would become an auror.and did he marry luna?

I often wondered the same. Some we know, like Hannah and Neville, and the trio of course. I wonder if she printed/said anything about anyone else?

No, it was either the Three Broomsticks or the Hogs Head. Hannah is like the Innkeeper while Neville teaches at Hogwarrts in Herbology. No mention of the new Headmaster that I can recall. I always thought Harry would end up teaching DADA, though. Guess not.

Well, yes, but he would have to work for the Ministry, and we know how he felt about that, plus he never finished his education and they have a lot of courses that they have to take to be Aurors, so I don't think he became one. Have no idea what he did become, but given his hard feelings toward the Ministry, even if he went back to Hogwarts and completed his education, I don't know that he would ever work for them.

OMG, he crossed over to the Dark Side! Just kidding. I heard conflicting things about Ron and George. I am still in mourning over Fred He was always my favorite *wanted to be Mrs. Fred Weasley* It was just cruel.
