I honestly think he is dead, but Harry has a lot of learning and growing to do to go on alone. J.K. Rowling said that Dumbledore is dead in an interview, that Harry had to go on alone, but I don't think he was ready. I just reread all of the books, and I just don't know how he's going to manage it with out someone more powerful, skilled and knowledgeable.
EDIT: Otty, you're such a Snape. *laughs and runs off to hide before Otty can try to beat her up*

I think he really is dead, although I sometimes feel as if it were planned between Dumbledore and Snape then at times I think it wasn't.
