There is an article about much awaited movie sequels of 2007 on usatoday.com's website, and in it you can read the following information on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix:

Extras Season 2 Coming to DVD in March

We have a special birthday today: that of the littlest Rowling-Murray, Mackenzie Jean. She's the ripe old age of two today, and like two-year-olds everywhere probably about ready to start making her author mommy chase her all over the house. Happy birthday (and have fun, Jo)!

For their latest issue, Daniel Radcliffe talked some with Geek Magazine about his recent non-Harry Potter projects and his plans to continue branching out from the franchise as it nears its end. He said:

I need to get as much work between now and the end of the series and the immediate aftermath of the series as I can to prove to people that I can do it. That’s why I’m constantly on the look out for scripts and things to do. That’s why I’m doing two things between Harry Potter 5 and 6, if and when that happens. I do feel a need to say to people that I am capable of more than Harry Potter. That being said, I don’t pick roles specifically because they are very different from Harry Potter. You have to judge each role on what it is and who you’ll be working with. It just so happens that the films that have come my way are very different from Harry, and that’s a nice bonus, really. Having said that, Harry Potter is a very demanding part and really challenging. I don’t mean to make it sound like Harry is an easy ride, because it’s not. But with doing things like Equus and My Boy Jack, which is a World War I story about Rudyard Kipling and his son, and I did December Boys last year - hopefully all of these projects should begin to let people see me in a different light.

Yates discusses OOTP book, Umbridge

In an interview with The Los Angeles Times, Order of the Phoenix Director David Yates said that even though he "wouldn't have put [him]self forward as an obvious candidate" to helm the film, he soon realized that its storyline contains more similarities to his previous projects than he first thought.

He said, "It's probably the most emotional of all the books. As I read the book, suddenly, I tuned into the kind of thing I have always been drawn to."

He also spoke some about Professor Umbridge's character, saying, "Professor Umbridge is quite damaged as a person. She basically abuses Harry and puts him through this horrific detention. It is horrific abuse."

2. Harry (admittedly) doesn't have the power to perform an Unforgivable curse, whatmore a murder
We all know that Harry isn't a young-Dumbledore who is able to perform super powerful magic, right? His primary - and possibly only - weapon is LOVE (I'll come to that later). The inability to perform unforgivable curses is proven when Harry gave Bellatrix only half the dosage of the Cruciatus curse:

"Hatred rose in Harry such as he had never known before; he flung himself out from behind the fountain and bellowed, 'Crucio!'
Bellatrix screamed; the spell had knocked her off her feet, but she did not writhe and shriek with pain as Neville had......
'Never used an Unforgivable curse before, have you, boy?' she yelled." (pg713, OotP)

Harry only resorted to the curse because of his overpowering emotions. That means his curse was less powerful as it was done out of hatred, not for the fun of hurting others.

3. Harry doesn't have the heart to kill
Besides, killing someone isn't on his conscience. This is displayed during some events which required Harry to decide whether to attack or to forgive:

Although full of hatred for the rutless betrayal of his parents, Harry failed to 'take revenge' on Black-

"Harry raised the wand. Now was the moment to do it. Now was the moment to avenge his mother and father. He was going to kill Black. He had to kill Black. This was his chance...
The seconds lengthened, and still Harry stood frozen there, wand poised, Black staring up at him......" (pg 251, PoA)

Even after the truth that it was actually Wormtail who sold Lily and James to Voldemort was revealed, he wasn't strong (?) enough to watch someone die.

"'NO!' Harry yelled. He ran forwards, placing himself in front of Petigrew, facing the wands. 'You can't kill him,' he said breathlessly.'You can't.'" (pg 275, PoA)

4. Harry's sole weapon is his ability to love

"That's it? All I can do is... love?" (approx. quote, OotP)

That's right. Dumbledore has rubbed in the fact that Harry's only hope to defeat Voldemort is his unbounded love. Nothing more than that. And love, in Dumbledore's opinion, is the strongest magic of all, so why shouldn't it be used against (or for) Voldemort?

5. Harry's too pure, too good to descend to the Dark side, or to use Dark spells

Since Voldemort is so evil, why not use some weapon that is not in his deputy? The Avada Kedavra is Voldemort's trademark move, after all.

"'Your mother died to save you. If there's one thing Voldemort cannot understand, it is love. He didn't realise that love as powerful as your mother's for you leaves its own mark...... It was agony to touch a person marked by something so good.'" (pg 216, PS)

Similarly, in the OotP, Voldemort couldn't possess Harry and force Dumbledore into killing him:

"'It is the power held within that room that you possess in such quantities and which Voldemort has not at all. That power took you to save Sirius tonight. That power also saved you from possession by Voldemort, because he could not bear to reside in a body so full of the force he detests. In the end, it mattered not that you could not close your mind. It was your heart that saved you.'"

I also think Dumbledore, in the HBP, was frustrated, trying to make Harry understand that his only chance of surviving was love:

"'By attempting to kill you, Voldemort himself singled out the remarkable person who sits here in front of me, and gave him the tools for the job! It is Voldemort's fault that you were able to see into his thoughts, his ambitions, that you even understand the snakelike language in which he gives orders, and yet, Harry, despite your privileged insight into Voldemort's world — which, incidentally, is a gift any Death Eater would kill to have — you have never been seduced by the Dark Arts, never, even for a second, shown the slightest desire to become one of Voldemort's followers!'
'Of course I haven't! He killed my mum and dad!'
'You are protected, in short, by your ability to love. The only protection that can possibly work against the lure of power like Voldemort's.'"

I think that Harry could turn this protection, his ability to love, into a weapon. All in all, I really believe that this is the only way Voldemort can be killed. Following the countless theories that Harry is a Horcrux, this fact would really come in handy if love can be mobilised against Voldemort.

If Harry forgives Voldemort for his deeds, that would fit. Didn't Dumbledore say that when one wizard forgives another, it creates a bond between them. Maybe Harry could destroy the bit of soul inside him, then Voldemort might kill himself or just, er, vanish without trace...

OK, hi everyone, I am hear to make the announcements for the new DA Newsletter Officers! I must apologize being that this is Tuesday, and I said you would make the announcement on Sunday. I got hit with a exceptionally nasty little virus and haven't been able to get out of bed from the fever. Now I am able to move around (kind of) with the assistance of chicken noodle soup and hot tea, but I have no voice, luckily that doesn't matter on here

Now without further ado; The two new Poetry Officers are Linda Hagrid and RLupin! Congrats guys! I will be talking to you more, as well as the rest of the News Officers later on in the week when I am a bit more coherent
