Great. Im New here and cant wait for it to starrt. Does anyone have idea of when?

I have my school supplies and am waiting for class to start.

hi people...i too have been waiting for me to start this new action...we are still making new spells and charms so see and enjoy using them on Death Eater's.(please do to "Jinxes for the Jinxed" in the DA Thread) ...new spells will be posted about everyday so we will have a dictionary of them soon with an index of each and how to perform them....

class will start next Monday..i hope soo...so DA Titans please be there and it will contunie till next week...looking forward for a bit of more of "little patience"..

Rules & Regulations of the DA RPG.



1) You do not need to announce when you are arriving or leaving this class. We will just assume that you were there the whole time. We realize that your schedule and ours will not always line up. Do NOT announce your late arrival to your class. You have been warned.

2) This classroom is for classroom role-playing only. i will let you have a OOC post now and then but plz no conversations there or your posts will be deleted and/ or you will receive a warning.( i.e you might be disqualified for the next two lessons).


3) Participation in class is completely voluntary. When we ask a question, please feel free to raise your hand and offer an answer. Even if you don't know, you might be right or wrong it does'nt matter. Just give a try. We will be happy to give prizes ,tags ,siggiees , avvies and much more too truly deserving students.



4) Homework is also optional. There is no shame in not doing your homework although you might get a name in our Honourary List of the DA. All homework MUST be e-mailed to me at pieman555@hotmail.co.uk or you may PM it too "the dark light" or too "OonaPotter".
No late homework will be accepted.


5) Do not disrespect us or your fellow students. We all make mistakes. You don't need to gloat or make a production out of it.


6) The SS rules are applicable here. No spamming, no flaming, no swearing, and i dont allow a fair kiss on the cheek between pupils but nothing to much. Keep your little drama-dramas somewhere else, please. We are here to learn.



7)All other SS Board Rules apply here connecting RPG.



8) Last but certainly not least have fun and enjoy. Be creative, follow the rules, and let yourself experience all that Dumbledore's Army has to offer.

In the end i will like to thank our lovely President oja who helped us out in making such a wonderful feature for the DA and i m a potter fool with such a cute idea.

Lesson # 1

It was lonely to be here..just beside two loyal assistants.A gloomy but cosy place.I wondered around the chairs waiting for the DA Titans too arrive.I became worried that our location might have been revealed to the dark side.It started to thunder and rain started to pour down heavily.After a 15 minutes or so the class was suddenly full..I could'nt believe my eyes as more than a 100 students looked at me eagerly with the thirst of knowledge.Minds ready to be mastered with spells that they would use on Death Eaters and Dark Creatures and maybe brave enough on You-Know-Who

I cleared my throat and after silently mustering the spell Sonorus remarked in an echoing voice:
"Welcome my friends welcome to the beginning of a new era which will suerly result in the downfall of the Dark Side.We the DA Titans are much more powerful then what the enemies think.Indeed me and my loyal fellows will reliquish that magic from you that will enable you to crush what has happened to the wizaeding world for the past fifty years or so.
We assemble here today in the foreshadows of what evil marks have left behind.This place my friends used to be the residency of the great, the memorable,Albus Dumbledore."
Tears trinkled down my chin.I soon assembled and wiped those hot angry tears with a wip of my wand and opened up a parcel which had a letter inside.

"This letter was sent to me yesterday by Professor Remus Lupin.He informs me that he and his wife Tonks were attacked by a dozen or so Lethifolds.They were kind enough to send this picture."



"He also has informed me that Lethifolds now are under the control of the Dark Lord.So we need to more about them."

I placed the lettor down and asked the assembled students..
"Could anyone tell me what are Lethifolds?"...

Prancie thought back for a moment, then raised her hand,

"Um, I think that lethifolds dangerous creatures that look like half-inch thick cloaks. They also go by the name 'living shrouds'"

Tatewin raising hand. "I think I know," she said. "They are cloak-like creatures from the tropics! They are about one inch thin, and a little thicker after eating. They like to attack when their victim is sleeping and smother them. Then they eat them right there, leaving no trace of themselves or their victim!"

"The earliest account we have of a lethifold was written by a wizard Flavius Belby, who was fortunate enough to survive a lethifold attack in 1782 while holidaying in Papua New Guinea.This is what Belby had to say in his book.The extract is only one-fourth of he total" I told the class while deeply examining an old wizarding book by the name of Flavius Belby!

"Here it is lads" he tapped his wand o the blackboard.." and read it will you please!"


Near one o’clock in the morning, as I began at last to feel drowsy, I heard a soft rustling close by. Believing it to be nothing more than the leaves of the tree outside, I turned over in bed, with my back to the window, and caught sight of what appeared to be a shapeless black shadow sliding underneath my bedroom door. I lay motionless, trying sleepily to divine what was causing such a shadow in a room lit only by moonlight. Undoubtedly my stillness led the lethifold to believe that its potential victim was sleeping.
To my horror, the shadow began to creep up the bed, and I felt its slight weight upon me. It resembled nothing so much as a rippling black cape, the edges fluttering slightly as it slithered up the bed towards me. Paralysed with fear, I felt its clammy touch upon my chin before I sat bolt upright.

Ebony rasied her hand. "The Ministry of Magic has classified a lethifold as XXXXX." she said after she was finish reading the blackboard.

while waiting for any reply I vanished the previous text from the blackboard and tapped it thrice this time and a much lenghtier list appeared:

"Note all this down folks!" I exclaimed ....

Lehifolds:
- mercifully rare
- found solely in tropical climates
- also called the living shroud
- resembles a black cloak
- is usually about half an inch thick and thicker after digesting a victim
- glides along the ground at night
- is described in the only first hand account as clammy and cold
- repelled only by the Patronus Charm
- Lethifold seems to be composed of two words: Lethal and Folds ' Lethal Folds
- Another name for the lethifold is "living shroud" (for those unfamiliar with the word shroud it is cloth a dead person is wrapped in e.g. Shroud of Turin - supposedly the cloth Jesus was wrapped in post-mortem.

Continued Version of Belby's Encounter:

”The thing attempted to smother me, sliding inexorably up my face, over my mouth and nostrils, but still I struggled, feeling it wrapping its coldness about me all the while. Unable to cry for assistance, I groped for my wand. Now dizzy as the thing sealed itself about my face, incapable of drawing breath, I concentrated with all my might upon the stupefying charm and then-as that failed to subdue the creature, though blasting a whole in my bedroom door-upon the impediment hex, which likewise availed me naught. Still struggling madly, I rolled sideways and fell heavily to the floor, now entirely wrapped in the lethifold.
I knew that I was about to lose consciousness completely as I suffocated. Desperately, I mustered up my last reserve of energy. Pointing my wand away from myself into the deadly folds of the creature, summoning the memory of the day I had been voted president of the local gobstones club, I preformed the patronus charm.
Almost at once I felt fresh air upon my face. I looked up to see that deadly shadow being thrown into the air upon the horns of my patronus. It flew across the room and sithered swiftly out of sight.”

I returned my sight to the class and stated:

"As Belby so dramatically revels, the patronus is the only spell known to repel the lethifold. Since it generally attacks the sleeping, though, its victims rarely have a chance to use any magic against it. Once its prey has been successfully suffocated, the lethifold digests its food there and then in their bed. It the exits the house slightly thicker and fatter than before, leaving no trace of itself or its victim behind..."

"You lot seem frightened by the Lethifolds!"...
"Not to worry we shall now practice the Patronus Charm..the incantation as you all very well know is "Expecto Patronum"!!"

"Please repeat after me,Expecto Patronum.But without raising your wands please for the moment!"..

the incantation rang around the room..

"Expecto Patronum ! Expecto Patronum ! Expecto Patronum!"...

then someone from behind raised his wand and exclaimed in a firm voice:
"Expecto Patronum" and a firce firey lion erupted from the tip of my assistant's wand flying alongside the old rusty wall..
