A two way mirror hangs on the far wall of the waiting room, please announce your arrival into the mirror and then take a seat. Professor Lawson will be with you as soon as he can.

Unsure why exactly he was coming here, other than maybe to tell Lawson about the demon Crocker child and to find out ways to protect himself, or maybe because he felt pretty safe here, Jake approached the two-way mirror and, as he usually did, looked slightly uncertain for the moment. Then he spoke.

"It's Jake. Erm... Upstead," the boy said uncertainly, feeling that maybe Lawson might not recognise him with the beanie cap covering his pink hair and the hood of his unzipped, oversize hoodie pulled over his head. "Errr... I need to ask ya sumfing," Jake went on, before backing away from the mirror and sitting in one of those chairs, feeling slightly on edge. Though he looked pretty unapproachable at firsts glance, Jake had of course, gotten over his... issues that were present last year. He found himself much more like the bubbly first-year he once was... once he got over his shyness. He sure was still the same height as then. Sigh.

The sugar high had definitely worn off after the outrageous behavior from Mr's Crocker and Karsten. He had seen a few food fights in his time, he'd actually been in a few when he had been younger but a dung fight? Well that was a new one!!

Marcus strolled down the corridor shaking his head at the absurdity of it. He entered into his waiting room and had to stop once again to look around the place, he'd done a pretty good job if he did say so himself. Oh and look his first visitor and he didn't have to be Einstein to work out who it was.

"Yo Jake!! How ya doin my man?" he asked as he vaulted the back of the couch and landed beside the young Huffie.

Okay, so Jake had definitely NOT been expecting THAT. He jumped about a foot in the air as someone went and jumped over the back of the couch to sit beside him... and it was only then that he recognised the voice of the man that had said his name.

His hood having fallen off, Jake turned his head freely to look at Lawson. "You have really got to stop doing that," he said, only half irritably and with a slight smile on his face. "Sir," Jake added quickly.

Stretching his short legs out in front of him, Jake glanced around the waiting area. 'Twas good to be back someplace familiar.

"I'm fine. How are you?" he asked politely, before quickly stating his reason for visiting. "I needed to talk to you, Professor," Jake added, twiddling his thumbs and he stared at the man.

Patting Jake on the shoulder, Marcus chuckled softly. "And you really should be more aware of your surroundings" he said as he propped his feet up onto the coffee table and placed his hands behind his head. He wondered briefly why he had put in a coffee table? Not like the kids were going to sit around in his waiting room conversing and drinking beverages. Eh but then again...

"Oh I am rather good" he began airily but then he took in the boy's serious tone and removed his hands from behind his head and looked at Jake curiously. "Do you want to come into the office or would you like to go for a walk outside?" It was only the first day, surely he had not gotten into trouble already.

"You tell me that every time," Jake grinned, knowing that the man would have said something along those lines. Noticing that the man had put his feet up on the coffee table, Jake smirked a little more. It was like, Lawson needed shoes made out of them tables; it was where his feet seemed most at home.

Shrugging as he looked, once again, up at the man, Jake thought for a moment. "I really don't mind," he said, looking from the door to the office to the way he'd just come from. "Office?"

"And still you never listen." Marcus grinned at the boy and gave him a wink as he stood up from the couch. He had done a good job on those couches, they were really quite comfortable. If he ever had to crash on one at least he knew that he would get a good night's sleep. Yeah he had slept on a few couches in his time.

"Office it is then. After you Jake." He gave a grand sweeping motion with his hand towards the office door. "Wait till you see what I've done with the place."

Bella walked into the waiting room. She needed to talk to Profffesor Lawson about what had happened in the Arena, and how to stop things like that happening again. Sure, she was young and was yet to learn, but sh had organised another Duel, she must learn quick! She walked upto the mirror.
"Ermm...Hello, It's bella Hapfield here to see proffesor Lawson please." She said, and hoped that that was what she was supposed to do. "It's about that time in the Arena" She carried on, "You know, the first time we met..." She trailed off and sat herselfe down on a sof and waited.

Quite unsure of where lessons were supposed to be, Tavelon found it natural that he go to the source and ask.

The trouble was, it was rather intimidating to do so for a small 11 year old.

Tavelon peeked into the waiting room, then reading a small card on a table, went up to the mirror and asked "Hi... Professor Lawson... I'm Tavelon Martimus and I have a question about lessons... um... that's all"

He practically tumbled backwards as he edged away from the mirror. Sitting in a couch he gasped for air. He didn't even know the professor, but that's probably what made it so frightening.

Daniel got his hands full for the week, but he made it a point to visit one of his favorite instructor.

He knocked at the door and sat at the waiting area.

After walking towards the Hospital Wing on the third floor, Lyra had found out that it was closed. Why? she had no idea but she couldn't ignore the pain in her arm that was coming and going and she was forced to go see a Professor. Her first thought was to see Kazimeriz but her friend Evan , who was so sweet to come with her had told her to go to Lawson instead because it had happened in the Dueling Arena. So, here she was standing in his waiting room, staring at her reflection in the mirror. Lyra had heard about these things from her uncle once but still she found it very odd to talk against it. It made her feel like a suspect like in those Muggle police movies. "Eh, Professor.........Lawson, mirror thing?" This is so odd. Lyra scratched the back of her head with her right arm. "Could Evan and i talk to you please...?" so now they had to wait right? Lyra turned around and walked towards one of the very comfortable looking chairs and sat on it.

Evan couldn't believe the hospital wing was closed. What would happen if a student was hurt, like Lyra? Would they search other teachers and trust in their healing talents? He'd totally ask the reason the the professor, along with a couple of other questions. He'd planned to come another day, but this suited as well. No need to bug the professor twice, right?

He looked really intrigued at the mirror. And looked more intrigued at Lyra. He was about to ask when he made the connection, these were like video-phones in Muggle world. They sent you and your voice to the other end. Wise. He listened to Lyra, and when she finished he murmured "I think you need to tell the reason too." He wouldn't just let them in because they wanted, would he? He turned to sit next to Lyra. and started waiting.

Lyra felt the place on the couch beside her move as Evan sat next to her. Hearing his whisper, Lyra blushed slightly because she couldn't believe she had forgotten to say the reason of their visit. Standing up again , Lyra walked towards the mirror again and saw her own reflection staring back at her again. She looked at her arm but couldn't see the injury because her robe sleeve was covering it thank merlin. "Professor i forgot to tell the reason for our visit. " Lyra said. "Uh anyways , my arm is injured and the hospital wing is closed..plus it happened in the dueling arena so i thought that it would be your expertise" Lyra didn't know if Evan wanted to talk to the professsor too or if he only came with her to support her. She turned around and walked over towards Evan. She grinned and sat down next to him

"Siiiiiiiiiiir, it's Jaaaaaaaaake," came the tired voice of a pink-hair boy as a small figure shuffled into the Waiting Room and glanced at the mirror. He was here about that magic tuitiony stuff, or at least to find out if he was meant to come here for it. "I think you know why I'm heeeeeeere."

And he was ratting on Kazi.

Seeing the comfy couches, Jake's exhausted body visibly relaxed, and the boy used the last of his energy to go and collapse in one, before kind of dozing off.

Looking into his two way mirror, Professor Lawson noticed quite a few students in his waiting area. "For those of you waiting, you may come into the office." His voice came through the mirror, quite loudly waking a certain Hufflepuff up from his slumber...heehee.

Jecca walked into the waiting room. She walked upto the mirror.
"Hello, It's Jecca Camacho, to see proffesor Lawson please." She said,and waited.

Again Professor Lawson's voice spoke through the mirror. "Come into the office Jecca."

Jecca enterd the office with a huge smile...

Lyra jumped on her feet when the Professor's voice came from the other side of the mirror. She looked at Evan and then nodded her head and walked in to the office.

Kylie walked into Professor Lawson's room, not sure what to expect. Everything at Hogwarts was so unexpected. It was exactly what Kylie had hoped for, but now that she could see it all in front of her it was rather confusing. She saw the mirror and saw that she should announce her name upon arrival.. the only reason she was in here was to find out when classes were.. was it worth the risk?

Of course it was.

"Kylie Jayde Matthews here. First year," she said. Boldly. No reason to come off nervous.

Reese walked down the first floor corridor after visiting Jake and LouAnn in the entrance hall. She continued to walk until she came across Lawson's waiting room, then she stopped and looked around at the new and improved waiting room. Didn't this place have bean bags last year? Even though the bean bags were cool and everything, she was liking the new chairs. They looked comfortable!

Brushing a few loose strands of hair behind her ear, she strolled up to the mirror to announce her arrival. "Er, Professor Lawson? It's Reese Upstead," she said. "I'm just here to have a little chat with you, if that's okay." After announcing her arrival, she turned around on her heels and walked over to one of the seats and sat down.

"Come into the office Kylie and Reese." Lawson's voice boomed through the mirror, followed by a chuckle. "And yes it's quite okay Miss Upstead."

Reese was patiently waiting her turn in the quiet waiting room, then she heard Lawson's voice out of nowhere. Eeeep! She slightly jumped out of her seat and shot a glanced towards the mirror since she knew that's where the voice had come from. Calming herself down from the little startle, she stood up from her seat and headed over to the door. She opened the door to the office and headed inside.

Emma walked in the waiting room and sat on a chair, waiting her turn. as if being a first year wasnt bad enough, arriving late was even worse.
"I hope i didn't miss anything of the utmost importance." She thought to herself

Abby sits down in the first chair she finds. She pants and notices the sign. Look into the mirror and state your business. What mirror? I don't have time to find a mirror. Abby looks around the room for this blasted mirror. She finds it on the wall with Lawson's door. Abby gets up and walks over to this mirror. She knocks hard on it with her hand. "Professor Lawson, Axeman! I need to see you now please... It's an emergency." Abby continues looking at the mirror like she expects it to answer her. I'm going to be in so much trouble...
