The Minister's Conference Room is a large, spacious room that is found to the right of her office door. This is the place where all important group meetings will take place. There's not much to the room, as it's equipped only to serve the purpose of giving people a place to sit and meet as they discuss and make important decisions. There's a long table in the middle and a few plants lining the walls. Several portraits around the room depict past Ministers of Magic. If you've been called in, come inside and take a seat.

Rex stopped at the coffee cart and got himself a large coffee on his way to the conference room. Much to his surprise, he was the first one to arrive. Did anyone else get the letter?

He shrugged his shoulders and seated himself at the end of the table. Hopefully this meeting would start quickly because he had a meeting in one hour with the Russian ministry regarding the upcoming World Cup.

After recieving the letter from Alexandria, Armen had ushered his employees out of his destroyed office and into the main work room where they could begin reparing the damage that the bewitched figurines had made on the place. He would certainly have to finish helping them when he returned. He had been in such a hurry getting up here, he had forgotten that he was in his...slightly battered dress shirt and khaki pants after being in a semi-battle down on his floor. Oh well he would at least be there. The Dept. Head walked into the Miniser's Conference room and was slightly disappointed he was expecting a War-Room type place but he supposed it had been downsized and hadn't be redecorated due to the regime change. He took a seat in the empty room and began to use his wand to repare some singe marks on his shirt.

After fixing a small hole on the poket of his once clean, white shirt Armen looked up to see another person was already in the room. "Oh sorry about that, I didn't see you there...Rex is it?" he stood slightly in his chair and leaned forward over the table to shake his collegues hand. Armen had met the guy hear in there around the Ministry but had never really talked to him much, for some reason the thought that he had been an ex-Quidditch star was stuck in Armen's mind for some reason. Oh well. "How are you today?" he asked sitting back down and wondering what the meeting could be about.

Rex just took a sip of his coffee as the man addressed him. "Much better than you appear to be. Did you just break up a duel in your department?"

"Good to hear that, the Wizarding World needs a functional Games Department to keep us all sane these days." he grinned genuinely at the guy. Then the conversation turned to the obvious distress that had happened on Level 6, due in part by the obvious disaster that was his outfit.

"You could say that I suppose. The duel wasn't between employee rather the employees against these bewitched animal figurines. They came to life and then sabotaged some portkeys and brooms, plus the destroyed our main cubicles area on Level 6. My employees are starting clean-up as we speak. I will be joining them after this meeting." he said heavily. By the looks of things on his way up there, it was going to take them awhile. "But all is well now, we got the figurines under control and everything has been handled." Just another day at the Ministry.

Evander went right to the conference room, expression guarded. The tall man stepped inside so quietly that if there had been more people present, It would be safe to assume that he'd barely have been noticed, surprising considering his size.

He knew who the men already present were, Evander always made it his business to know such things. They were talking and so he didn't interrupt, just nodded in a brief acknowledgment. He just took a seat in complete silence, folding his long legs and cramming himself into a chair. Hmm. Still quiet, he withdrew his wand and made a few silent adjustments, just to make his chair a touch more comfortable.

Who knew how long he'd be here?

"Sounds much safer than the insane inventor who wrecked havoc on Level 7 because we denied his patent. However, it's good to hear that the chaos in your department is over and that no one was seriously injured," Rex answered and took a sip of his coffee. And another.

"European Cup action starts later this month in Russia - sure hope that the four teams that qualified don't embarrass us."

Erica had swiftly made her way to level one after recieving the Owl in her office, her feet moving at fast pace not wanting to be late at all. That would leave a bad impression. The 31 year old arrived at the room, her eyes darting around at the people already in there. She had to remove everyone present in her office and move them into the work cubicles after apologizing quickly but this must have been more important anyway.

The blonde woman sat pretty much in the middle of the table on the left side, just because she preferred being able to see people from both sides, waiting for someone to speak to, or in fact to be spoken to. Being a reasonably new Department Head, she hadn't actually got the chance to meet anyone apart from Tate, whom she already knew anyway.

Tate actually wasn't looking forward to having to walk in; alone. She knew no one, really. Only Eri, and that friendship had only started up again now that they were both working here.

Nonetheless she had left her office, as soon as the owl had arrived, and she'd had time to read it. It wasn't necessarily a long walk to her destination, but it felt almost like a walk of shame. Like when you were in school, and you had been a badly behaved student, and you got requested to your Head of House's office? Like that walk of shame, really.

The brunette tidied up her barnet as she walked, and quickly checked there was nothing left of the pumpkin pasty she'd been nicely eating previously, around her mouth. Which, thankfully, there was none.

Deciding against saying anything, she just took a seat next to Erica, and gave her a smile.

Smiles were good.

A smell of baked goods filled the room, even before Gina entered. "Cooookies!" She said coming in with a steaming plate of chocolate chocolate chip, oatmeal rum raisin, double chocolate chunk and white chocolate and macadamia nuts. "My husband went a little crazy this morning when I told him I was coming to the minister's conference room. I hope you all enjoy them..." She said placing them on the table.

Armen was glad he had found a guy to talk sports with, the majority of his Division Heads were women, and he hadn't really gotten to meet the employes that just started very well yet. He would definately need to pursue Rex as a more regularly visited pal. He could always use a break from exploding Floo Powder and illegal Apparators here and there.

"Insane inventor? What did he try to make?" the 33-year old asked curiously, he did like to hear the news from the other floors whenever he got the chance. "Oh yes the European Cup, the only one really close to my mind really, besides the World. I do hope there are some good mattches." Armen nodded again and then turned his head eagerly to see who was joining them.

As soon as the Department Head registered who this guy was, shifty, quiet and expressionless, he knew exactly who he was. Now Armen didn't HATE the media, but he sure did not care for the way they let the Ministries business fly like it was no big deal and that every little thing that happens must be told to the public. So truth be told, he was going to be cautious about what he said in this meeting, for it could be quoted and sent who knows where. His eyes narrowed for a second as he evaluated the man, hopefully without his knowledge.

Two women then joined the three men in the Minister's Conference room. Having never really seen them before, Armen concluded that they were some of the new hires. They were pretty, one bonde and the other a brunette and he felt it necessary to start a little intro session.

"Morning Ladies, Armen Recard, Magical Transportation. And this here is Rex Vindictus, Magical Games and Sports." he said introducing himself and his friend a wide grin.
After he had greeted the newcoming, quite attractive Department Heads, the slightly more...experienced Department Head from International Cooperation came in carrying the most deliscious smelling cookies he had smelt in a looong time. "Good morning Gina! Nice to see you again, I am sorry for not being able to make it up and visit you again for so long, all hell broke loose in Transportation this week." he said grabbing a cookie and winking at her cheekily. "Thanks by the way, your husband's a fantastic cook."

Erica's head flicked up as she saw someone familiar walking it. Her face lit up slightly, thankful that Tate had made it, her being the only person whom she knew within the Ministry that wasn't one of her employees and even them she didn't actually know too well yet. "Morning Tate" she smiled, deciding that she would be the first one to talk considering the other hadn't actually said anything. Nerves maybe? It was their first meeting since both had been appointed.

"Are you okay?" the Blonde asked slightly concerned that she hadn't said anything, though the smile was a good sign. Her head scanned around the room at the other Department Heads that had obviously also got the owl message and she sent each one a smile, even if she didn't know them.

So, why were they here again?

Oh and THAT smelled good. Really good.

The thirty-one year olds nose twitched slightly as a really pleasant smile wafted into the room. Was that....COOKIES? She hadn't had a batch of them in a VERY long time. Since Hogwarts maybe? "They smell Gorgeous" the Magical Creatures head grinned over at the woman that had entered. "I'm Erica by the way. Erica Radley" she smiled, better introduce herself then, seeing as this was probably the best opportunity to actually do that. She wasn't sure whether to try a cookie now or wait for everyone else to get there first.

Erica's attention was drawn over at a new voice however once she had realised that they were talking to her and Tate. "Morning yourself" she grinned politely. "I'm Erica Radley, Magical Creatures" she introduced herself to both the guy talking and the one he had introduced. "It's great to meet you...both" she nodded at the other whilst still smiling.

This was a FANTASTIC opportunity to meet everyone else in the Ministry, seeing as she hadn't actually had the opportunity to do so yet.

Mmm. Evander cracked a grateful smile and took a cookie. He practically inhaled it though he did restrain himself a bit, manners you understand. He nodded a quick greeting of acknowledgment to the women as they came in. Names and faces. He knew them.

He was smart that way.


.... Evander tipped his head slightly and unerringly focused on the man who was looking at him. Not just looking either. That there was speculative eye narrowing. Observant, Evander was. He smiled casually at the man and raised one eyebrow. Got a problem?

Following the scent of cookies was usually a good way to get side-tracked from a meeting, but this time it appeared as though the smell and his destination were one in the same. Charles walked into the room, taking a look around to establish in his mind that he really knew no one here, before smiling and moving to one of the available seats.

"Good morning." He didn't aim the question at anyone in particular, but it seemed the polite thing to do nonetheless. That, and attempting not to stare openly at the cookies.

There was.... something familiar about that face. Evander kept his expression schooled though and murmured a polite 'good morning' in reply. He also happened to be discreetly sizing the man up. There was something....

... oddly efficient seeming about him.

Erica looked over as another new face walked into the room. This one she was pretty certain must have been a very recent addition, probably more recent then she was herself, judging by the fact he didn't really acknowledge anyone in the room but well everyone in general.

"Good Morning" the Blonde smiled back at him. Should she make introductions or was there really no point? Might as well, she wanted to at least be acquainted with everyone within the Ministry, well the Heads anyway. "I'm Erica Radley. Magical Creatures" she finally introduced herself.

Hmm... not much of a talker, that one. Fortunately...


"Charles D'Isigny, Accidents and Catastrophes." He held out a hand with a wide grin, and scooped a cookie with his other hand on the way. Why not, right? Even if his job title implied vast quantities of hurt, that didn't mean he had to be a somber grump.

The door to the conference room opened, and the Minister stepped inside, a smile on her face and a dangling briefcase by her side. She paused for a moment to a mental headcount...annddd, nope, not everyone was here just yet. Ahh, well. If she prolonged things any further, she'd be far too behind in her daily schedule of meetings.

Pulling out a chair at the end of the table, Allie turned to the team and said, "Well, hello there. First off, I appreciate all of you arriving here in a timely manner. We're actually waiting on two others, but I expect they'll be here shortly," she said. She grew silent as she took a seat and got herself settled. It wasn't that she expected to be here for a prolonged period of time, but she did want to be comfortably seated regardless.

"The purpose of today's meeting is to regroup ourselves as a team and begin the process of moving forward with a new Minister, myself, and a fairly new Department Head team," she continued, her eyes traveling the room as she spoke. "We've had a fair amount of changes in staff over the course of a year, and I'd like to take this time for everyone to get to know the members of the team they have yet to be introduced to."

"What I'd like for you to do now, if you haven't done so already, is to introduce yourself to those you're unfamiliar with. While you're doing that, Mr. Bole--a word with you, please?" she said, directing her attention to Evander.

Evander's brow went up at that introduction. What happened to Sion Jetza? She wasn't here.... He leaned forward slightly, leaning against the table. Perhaps she was... moving to another department? Hmm. He interrupted.

"Are you by chance related to... a Martel D'Isigny?"

Sweet Circe. His past was coming back to haunt him wasn't it?



Ah.

Evander listened to the minister and then his brow went up again.

"Certainly." He unfolded himself from his seat, straightening to his full height, and then he moved over to sit near Carlton.

... it was odd looking at her and thinking of Lexi. Very odd. Twins were weird.

Being what felt like the oldest person in the room (not just in age but also in experience), Rex stood up and started the introductions... again. "I'm Rex Vindictus, the head of Magical Games and Sport."

It was short and to the point, and he immediately sat back down.

With the other team members busily making their introductions, Allie focused all her attention on the man who'd just come to sit near her. "Thank you," she politely said, shifting her position so that she was turned toward Evander. "I'm sure you're curious as to why I contacted you and asked you to attend a meeting that, by now, I'm gathering you've noticed is a department head team meeting. There's a few vacant department head positions in the Ministry, one in the department you're currently employed in."

"I was reading your background information in the filing cabinet and noticed that you're highly qualified to fill the position Mr. Jensen just vacated. That is, Department Head of Magical Law Enforcement," she said, feeling as if she was stating the obvious to this man. "Would you be interested? I'd love to have you join the team." On that note, her eyes traveled around the room, and then she added, "Officially."

Much like a student talking in class, Armen shushed quietly to himself and sat back in his chair with a small wave to Erica and the brunette that didn't answer and stared a few of the other joiners to the room as the Minister walked in. He had known Alex before the appointment of her new job but he felt suddenly very vulnerable around her.

He waited until all was quiet after Rex had spoken and before he began to introduce himself he darted an eye at the Minister and the shifty man from before then continued. "Hello everyone, My name is Armen Recard and I am the Department Head of Magical Transportation. I first started the Ministery a few years ago and I was placed in the Apparation Division as a Apparation Licenser. I then was promoted by one of my predecessors to the Division Head of Portkeys. After proving myself adequate in my job I then replaced my old boss as Dept. Head of Level 6!" He spoke excitedly, he adored Transportation and hoped that some of the others would come visit him so he could show them his cool things.

He then ended with a playful grin and then waited for the others.

It wasn't something one could easily say no to in a room full of people. Not truly. Not that he was planning to say no. Evander was frowning slightly at the reminder that Erik had stepped down. Honestly, the man was the best thing that had happened to MLES in a long time. Sure, sure, he had a new family and all that rubbish, but Evander wasn't completely understanding when it came to Erik leaving. MLES needed someone to step up. Apparently Minister Carlton thought he'd do well enough in that role.

He supposed he could try. He shot another glance at the D'Isigny fellow and then looked at Carlton again. It wasn't like he hadn't guessed that the offer was coming either. Considering who else was here. Yes.

"...Alright." He agreed, his voice a quiet rumble. He kept one ear on the introductions, though he actually knew who these people were. It was the sort of thing that was easy to find out after all. What was interesting however, was the way they introduced themselves.

He made a few mental notes and eyed Recard warily. The man seemed.... excitable.

Well... that certainly was... something.

Gina smiled and took her mirror out, puckering her lips and making sure her makeup was in place... Women of her age always needed to primp.

As the newly-appointed head of Magical Maintenance and Security, one of Ikenna's highest priorities had been to test the current defenses surrounding the British Ministry of Magic and the Minister's Office in particular. Considering that the man had managed to slip into the conference room unnoticed before anyone else's arrival and was currently sitting in an empty chair at the end of the room, disillusioned, what he had discovered was most clearly... disturbing.

"Morning," the man spoke at last, releasing his charm with a nonverbal spell on himself. "I am Ikenna Gevrik. Magical Maintenance..... and Security."

He managed to place certain emphasis on the last word as he spoke, even though his deep voice hardly carried any emotion. Finished with his introduction, the man made certain to make eye contact with each other Department Head before he turned his attention back to himself. He smoothed out a nonexistent crease in the lapel of his steel gray suit and cast a glance to his left, where Charles had taken a seat.

Ikenna's nostrils flared slightly at the woman who smelled of butter and bakeries but he did not say anything else. Interesting that Bole was sitting so close to the Minister, however. Most interesting.
