In the corridor outside the Level 3 workplace sits a tall, handsome oak coat rack. If you need a place to hang your jacket or rest your hat, the coat rack will gladly take it from you--quite literally, actually.

OOC: All Ministry of Magic employees, regardless of their assigned department, are welcome to create their own roleplay in this thread. Feel free to roleplay the coat taking your hat and scarves as well!

Calla stood still holding the item in her tightly clasped hand. Her stomach had been in knots all week. She didn't know what was right and what was wrong, but she knew she needed time. And avoiding him and the issue wasn't fair to him.

There was nothing he could do to make the situation better for her, it was her. Calla had to figure it out on her own. She hadn't eaten all day, or last night. She was afraid she'd just throw it up.

Calla wasn't sure how Gavin would take everything, but right now she couldn't be worried with that. She had to find herself... or something.

She ran her fingers through her hair waiting for what seemed forever. Part of her wished he'd hurry up and get here, the other wished he'd just not show up.

Deep breath.

The hand holding the item was visibly shaking with anxiety. She placed her free hand over it in order to try and calm it.

Having receieved the note from Calla to meet him by the coat rock of Level Three of all places, Gavin hadn't been sure what to exactly make of it. It seemed a bit vague and neutral compared to her usual behavior and inwardly wondered if something was up. Coming down the hall outside their shared workplace, he spotted the woman in question already standing where they were to meet and he quietly came up beside her.

"Hey," he greeted her with a soft smile. He might of added a gesture of familiairity if they were meeting anyplace else but they were indeed at work.

Calla saw him round the corner and her stomach felt heavier than it had ever felt before. She took a deep breath, chewed on her lip and look away from him. “Hey.” She wanted to vomit. This would be the hardest thing she’s ever done.

“Umm.” She finally looked to his eyes and swallowed hard. For a few seconds she tried to speak but couldn’t find her voice. Taking another breath she sped through what she had practiced saying. “Gavin, I need some time to think…. About me and I suppose us.” She looked away and ran her free hand through her hair.

Again speaking in a nervous and quickened tone she continued, “I’ve never been in a relationship before, and this one is moving fast. And I’m not even sure what I want… I’m a bit confused. And so I….”

She felt tears trying to fill her eyes, and that’s something she didn’t want. Calla blinked, and most of them retreated.

Her heart was pounding so hard in her chest she was sure Gavin could hear it.

She continued, “I need a break. I’m not sure what I mean by that except to say that I need to not see you for a while.” As a defensive mechanism she was trying to sound harsh and distant, in part to keep herself from crying.

Shifting her weight Calla felt her stomach churn faster. “I’ve been transferred to another department, so that I can truly get some distance.” She didn’t tell him that she had been transferred to The Inspections Committee, in the Education Department. And little did she know it was Ryan who would now be her boss. She actually didn’t request any specific department, just away from level 3.

With that there was only one more thing to say… or do rather.

She took his right hand and turned it palm up. Calla looked him in the eye as she placed the necklace in his hand. In a soft whisper she said, “I’m sorry.” Swallowing hard once more she choked back emotion.

As she closed his hand around the key pendant and chain a tear fell. She mouthed the words “I’m sorry” once more and released his hand. “It’s not you. I just don’t know…” Calla trailed off, knowing she was about to lose it.

Calla turned away from him and headed down the hall toward the lifts, and level 2.

Gavin's face fell once he and Calla faced each other, a bad feeling running through him especially as she looked away as if nervous and unable to look him in the eyes. The feeling only getting worse as she spoke revealing the whole reason why she had asked him to meet her.

"Calla..please we can slow down if you want just don't..." he started to say breaking off as he saw the tears starting to well up in her eyes. Wanting nothing more then to wipe them away and go back to how things were before the started spinning out of control.

As she continued to speak, each word cut deeper. A break....a transfer... the words echoed in her mind over and over again. I made her leave the job she had before me because she cant bear to look at me any more, he berated himself as he lowered his head and his saddened eyes.

He let Calla take his hand in hers raising his gaze once more to look at her but hating what he saw. Only vaguely feeling something being placed in his palm though his attention was still solely on her unable to tear his eyes away from her or even move a muscle himself afraid she'd vanish.

I'm sorry he barely heard her whisper as she closed his hand around the necklace, feeling as if all time had stopped for a moment. Brought back to the present as Calla started to walk away and he almost grabbed her arm with his free hand to stop her but just let it drop back to his side as she continued on.

Only then looking down at the necklace once she was out of sight and starring at it for several moments before debating his next action, almost afraid to return to the office knowing her desk would be empty but after several minutes and deep breathes to control his own emotion, he dragged himself back inside.

Dan found himself on his Level again, but still being angry, he wanted to cause more damage before going back to work.

Blast, the coat rack was turned magenta too.

Guinea!Sam was running away from those crazy people in the room that were probably going to attack him! Well, no, not really. Those people were BIG, so he was a little scared they might step on him. He didn't think they would attack him, though, but he was still smelling something delicious and that's what was keeping him running off. Plus running off also help with the shedding problem that somehow had occurred because as he ran, he was leaving a little trail of magenta fur behind that would probably stay on him if he wasn't running.

He scurried down the corridor until he came across a... MAGENTA coat rack? He stopped in his tracks for a few moments as he approached the coat rack that was the same color he was, and then he sniffed it. Nope, that was not the thing he had been smelling.

With that, he ran off once more.

"Boss?" Aveira called, scampering around a corner that she had sworn she had seen a pink streak fly around. "Mr. McDean....?" Her wands drawn, she bit her lip and snuck down the hallway. "No...? Sam?" Nothing. Huh. Sneaking off, she kept on down the corridor on the third floor.

... Could guinea pigs use elevators..?

Chuckling, Daemon walked down the corridor looking at the ground. He wasn't really paying much attention to where he was going or what he was doing, but he was trying to. He just couldn't help it. He really did like Dan. Very, very funny.

Daemon spotted a puff of pink fluff. The same pink that Sam was. Haha. He looked around further and found a trail of pink fluff. He followed it and noticed it stopped in front of the coat rack...which was also pink! Hahahahahahaha. That almost made Daemon die laughing, and it slowed him down some more. It took him a bit before he could continue after the pink fluff trail.

*chuckle*

Along with a few others Michel followed his now magenta guinea...boss - magenta Guinea!Boss?! - out of the Conference Room. Not that he actually WITH the others, no, cause that would have meant teamwork which he didn't do, but he simply followed the magenta fur - which by the way proved to be quite a good way to find him - and those other people just happened to do the same. Yes, they were just on the same mission. This reminded him of a fairy tale his mother used to tell his sister and him when they were younger...follow the bread-crumbs! Anyhow...

He noticed the magenta Guinea!Boss stopping for a moment - maybe considering the magenta coat rack as a new home - and quickened his steps, unholstering his wand in the process. Was it wrong to hex his boss?! Err. Just as he was about to try cast an Immobulus on his magenta Guinea!Boss it proceeded with its running away from them. Meh. Why did they have to do this again? All because of that stupid man who had somehow transformed him into...well, this.

Wes followed the trail of magenta fur out the door and found a few other employees on the trail of Guinea!Sam as well. He wondered if Sam was still in his right mind or if he'd like...lost his intelligence in the transformation. He really hoped he didn't--it would make it so much easier to find him if Sam still thought like a person and knew NOT to run away from the big scary people!

And, SPEAKING of big scary people--one of the employees from Level 2, the one who had given him a bit of an attitude during the job fair, was getting ready to hex him. EEP! What if he accidentally made the change permanent in the process?! He couldn't allow that to happen!

"NOOOOOO!" Wes exclaimed, running up to the man and karate chopping his wand from his hand. In that moment, Guinea!Sam had moved on, but at least Wes had SAVED his life!

Michel was so focused on the trail of magenta fur and his momentarily put magenta Guinea!Boss that he failed to hear the approaching footsteps. Which meant he failed to notice the approaching Department Head until...well, until it was simply IMPOSSIBLE not to notice him. And why was that? Well, because he decided to...

SMACK!

...smack his wand out of his hand ninja-style. O__o Michel simply stood there for a moment, blinking at the wand which was now lying on the floor. It was only after a few seconds that the 29 year old turned around, a huge irritated frown plastered across his face. "What the heck was that?!" Oh, of course. Who else would it be than the Department Head with the Alice in Wonderland references?

Oh, great, now the guinea-pig was gone. Yes, awesome work. Not.

Ben approached the rack hopefully with his team behind him. He bent over to see little pink hairs. He looked back at the entrance and make a line with his arm between two little spots of pink hairs. He looked up at his team. "Based on the position of the hairs and the location of them I'd say he's running this way..." He looked down his arm only to see...

"Hey. Does anyone know if Sam was hungry?"

Yeah. Daemon would say so too. And that's where he was heading before Ben had to call him over. Approaching, Daemon looked at him, confused. "No, I don't think I know when someone needs nutrition. Why? How would that hellp us look? Have you found something?"

Where would they look if Sam was after food?

He stood up, with a theory. "Well, maybe if he was hungry, and he got turned into a guinea pig, maybe that sense got hyperactive and rodent instinct just... kicked in." If was a solid theory. "And you know where there is food." He looked down the line of hair to the Level Three break room. He looked at his team with a look that said 'Do I even HAVE to say it?' He began his job sprint down to the break room hoping to find their rodent boss.

Charlotte stalked angrily to the coat rack and practically threw her black peacoat on it. She awoke late this morning and there had been no hot water in her apartment. Charlotte also had nearly gotten hit by a car on her way to the ministry and the driver had not even apolgized. So, after yelling at the man for eleven minutes, she decided he wasn't worth her time, thus her bad mood.
As Charlotte spun on her heel to head to the Obliviator's work room, a magenta guinea pig ran past her. Being so absorbed in her awful morning, she fell over at the sight of it, adding to her bad day.

"Hi Charolette!" Alex yelled. She hurried over to her best friend and shook the daylights outta her. "Oh my gosh! You finally got a job here! It is about time you dead beat!" she said, laughing. "I am just joshing!" she said. Charolette hated when Alex said 'Just joshing.' so Alex said it a lot around her.

Charlotte couldn't help but smile at Alex's excentric additude. "Alex, although i enjoyed being a jobless deatbeat, I did need money! AND STOP SAYING 'JUST JOSHING!'"
Charlotte blinked again and remembered what had knocked her over in the first place. "Did you see that guinea pig? Its magenta! Not red, but not purple, wee!" She laughed at the inside joke.

"I enjoyed being a jobless dead beat too. Did I ever give you money on the street?" she asked, sarcasticly. "Just joshin!" she said, extra slow just to annoy Charlotte, that is what best friends do! "So what division are you in?" she asked, her large blue eyes blinking curiously. "I did see it!!! Neither red not purple!! WEEE!!!!!!!!" she said, laughing.

Charlotte grinned widely as they walked together. "I'm officially an obliviator! It's what I've always wanted!" She laughed twirling around. "You're an, um, I have no idea what you are. Oh yeah! No, I really have no idea."

"I am a part of the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad." Alex. said, with a deep superman like voice. She started to burst out laughing, for no apparent reason. "We, sorry, you should go meet your co-workers." she suggested. "Everyone might be a little tired and quite possibly injured from what happened yesterday!" she said, sighing. Yesterday had been a loooong day.

Charlotte was almost nervous to hear what had happened. Alex had already told her there was a lot of drama going on in the department. "Um, what did happen yesterday? And, yes, I'll meet my co-workers later."

Well, yesterday was, for lack of a better word, intresting." Alex said. "There was a nice old man who came to visit us during our confrence. Before he left, he caused some HUGE chaos." she said. "He started to throw butterbeer bottles at us, and then he left." she said. "But, he left his daughter behind, whose name was Ria, and she flipped out." she said. "She got even more freaked out, because she didn't know her father was magical." she said. "Anyway, us and Ria started to battle, win Morlen, aka the old man, came back as a young man." she said. "He spilled Evil Potion on all of us, and he claimed he would be the next Lord Voldemort." she said, taking a deep breath. "We eventually defeated him, but I have this." she said, pointing to a deep cut in her for head. Oh yes. Yesterday was intresting. "I also have a puncture wound in my back, but others were hurt too." she added.

"Oh, and Ria turned out to be a muggle girl, who he had used the Impirus Curse on." Alex added.

Charlotte stared at her. "Wow," She said, "All I've got is this bruise from hitting my knee on the door."

She paused and felt the bruise. It still hurt, but in her defense, she had hit it really hard. Then Charlotte continued, "But that's completely insane! What happened to the muggle girl? Was she ok? Why did he throw butterbeer bottles? Why would he do that? How did you defeat him? Is he in Azkaban?"

She shuddered and took a deep breath. "I had to go there once, and it was absolutely awful, I still have nightmares about it, and you know I never get nightmares.

"But really, what happened to the man? Was he just insane? Or does he go to court?"

[COLOR="Red"]"ow, you are so graceful!" Alex said, laughing. "The muggle girl had her mind erased, and she ws fine." she said. "He threw butterbeer bottles, because he just wanted to cause some chaos." she said. "We all sent a stunning spell at the same time, and one of them hit him." she said. "And then security team showed up." she said. "Why did you go to Azkaban?!?!?!?!" she asked, surprised.
