Then head on over to the lovely little cafe on the corner, where you can sit and relax, drink a cup of coffee, and grab a quick bite to eat. Be aware, however, that you've ventured into the Muggle world, so be careful what you say and do!

OOC: All Ministry of Magic employees, regardless of their assigned department, are welcome to create their own roleplay in this thread. This location is found in Muggle London, so remember to have your magical character act accordingly.

Armen hadn't really noticed this little cafe before, which is kind of sad, seeing as he has worked at the Ministry for quite some time now. It just comes to show how busy he has been lately. He had obviosuly realized it was a muggle cafe, and had placed his wand deep inside his jacket pocket. He had taken to dressing more business like when he came to work, instead of his normal robes, because one never knew when you would be taking an adventure into Muggle London.

He opened the door the tiny resturant to hear a tinkling sound coming from the little bell on the door. He met the eyes of a waitress and smiled at her as he walked over to a booth by the window and began to settle into the booth. The small, plump waitress with big hair walked over to him and in a kind manner, hinting at her immense paitence with people, too his drink order, of black coffee.

After sitting down, it took a minute or so to get his drink, he pulled out his to do list and quill and after setting his self-writing pen onto the parchment it began to fill out the things he was whispering to it. OH WAIT, this was a Muggle Cafe. "Crap!" he said in a harsh whisper, he grabbed the quill in midsentence and stuffed it into his jacket pocket, hoping that the waitresses or other people had seen it. Most of them were undoubtibly muggles.

He could feel the pen still righting about misused Portkeys on his white shirt.

After searching for quite some time, Lexi had finally located the little cafe she'd heard a few of the employees chatting about. It was exactly what you'd expect of a little cafe on a street corner, but it had coffee and a place to sit down and relax, so that made it perfect in Lexi's eyes.

She gently pushed the door open and made her way inside. A few jingling bells above the door startled her for just a moment, but as soon as she realized what was making the noise, she laughed it off and headed for a nearby table. "A white chocolate mocha, please," she said, addressing the waitress who'd come to take her order.

A few moments later, Lexi had her coffee in hand. She sipped on it while she casually looked around the little cafe. It looked pleasant enough, even if the muggles did have really slow methods of doing things like washing dishes and cleaning up spills. That was when she saw something that nearly made her coffee cup fall right on out of her hand...

"Excuse me, sir," she said, approaching the table Armen sat at. "Was your pen just moving all by itself?" Surely one of the Ministry employees hadn't slipped up...

Armen was still squirming is his seat, the quill continuing to write on him, when a woman who had come in shorty after he had, asked him about the pen. He felt the color leave his face. He was in trouble he would have to get the Obliviation Squad involved and he just didn't have time for all of this today. He thought Muggles were supposed to be less observant than this.

"Oh, what I'm sorry?" he faked stupidity. "My pen...moving by...itself?!" he laughed. "I'm sorry miss but I have no idea what you are talking about. That is inconcevable and quite proposterous." Yes big words, maybe to confuse her more.

He took a sip of his coffee hoping maybe he had convinced this muggle woman that she was crazy.

Lexi had to bite her lip to keep from laughing at the poor wizard. She'd set him to squirming, that was for sure! She could also see the quill still working its magic right there in the man's pocket. That had to be pretty uncomfortable!

"Yes, your pen---your self-writing quill," she specified, "was moving all by itself." She leaned in a little further, took a quick glance around, and added, "...in a muggle cafe." Now that it was clearly obvious she wasn't a muggle, Lexi merely sat back and took a casual sip of her coffee.

"Lucky for us, no one seemed to have saw anything unusual, so I think you're alright. Just remember to be a little more careful next time," she continued. She put her coffee cup down and extended her hand. "I'm Alexandra Carlton, the Senior Undersecretary to the Minister of Magic."

Armen waited for her to leave but when she didn't he was tempted to just leave but she spoke again, this time leaning in close to him. He held his breath waiting for what ever it was; I know what you are?, I am going to call the cops?, You are in my seat move punk?

But he was taken of gaurd about what she did say, but relieved. "Oh my gosh, I am so glad you are like me!" the man sighed and followered her eyes to his chest and the still writing quill she mentioned. "Yeah I sort of forgot. But I won't let it happened again, that's for sure. I nearly had a panic attack when you caught me." he gave a nerous sort of laugh and swept a hand across his forehead.

He watched as she took her coffee cup from the table next to his and took a drink. She then reached for his hand and an introduction. "Oh Miss Undersecretary! I hadn't had the pleasure to meet you before." he said in am excited whisper. "Please join me." he said gesturing to the seat across from him. "I am Armen Recard, Division Head for Portkeys." This was very exciting. "So yeah again I am very sorry for my little mishap just then." He was glad that she didn't seem angry.

Lexi really did laugh lightheartedly when the whole 'glad you're like me' comment came up. It made magical people sound like aliens from another planet or something really unusual like that. Although, sitting here in this muggle cafe, Lexi couldn't help but feel as if to these people, she really was like an usual alien. That is, if they really knew what kind of person she was---Armen, too, at that.

"I know you won't let happen again. I believe you," she said with a smile. She took the seat just across from him, nodding a thank you as she did so. "It's nice to meet you, too, Armen. Division Head of Portkeys, hmm? You know, I was the Department Head of Magicl Transportation in the American Ministry of Magic once. It's a nice field to be in."

Armen took another sip of his coffee, pausing before he talked, for the waitress had come over to refill their drinks. He smiled at her, and after she left began to repy to his new aquaintence.

His eyebrows raised slightly in interest as she mentioned her past job at the American Ministry. "Hmm well it is a great field, Miss Carlton." he paused and then with a little friendly grin whispered. "Do you mind if I call you by your first name?" he chuckled, he wasn't one for formal titles, he and his employees were typically on a first name basis unless things called for the formal name usage.

Ok back to what she had said, "The American Ministry, eh? I have never been there, would like to visit one day. But I did meet the Minister about a year ago at a Conference here in the UK Ministry." he nodded. "But yeah I have been here a few years now, always in Transportation of course, it really is my forte." he grinned. "I started out in Apparation and then was promoted to Divison Head of Portkeys by one of my previous Department Heads, Mrs. Greingoth."

After checking out the window, and being sidetracked for a second as a double decker bus loaded up with Muggles and then drove off down the road, he turned back to the Undersecretary and spoke. "Oh well now that I have told you about me, what about you?"

Eugine handed over the muggle cash. It was so cool! Eep. It was hard for Eugine to keep a straight face but she smiled and took the cafe cup up. Smile. Sip. Her latte burned her tongue. Eugine smiled to herself.

Jesper stumbled into the street as the dog pulled him towards a small café. He tried to unfold the newspaper in his hand one-handed, as he followed the dog towards the little coffeé-shop.

A cup of coffeé wouldn't be bad. But suddenly, he wasn't glancing at the menu for the coffeé, but right at a brunette's face, and the stupid dog was going right towards her, too fast for Jesper to do anything.

Bang. There it was. Suddenly her cup was on his shirt, and the warm liquid was running down his neck.

"I'm soooo sorry," Jesper sighed and pulled the dog back in, and took a verrrry hard grip to the collar. "I'll pay another one for you," Now he felt badddd... She seemed to have been enjoying the coffeé a lot.

He looked up. "Jesper Davies," He said and stuck out his hand.

Damn, if he hadn't been surrounded by muggles, he could've easily cleaned the shirt with his wand.

Uggggghhhhhhhhhh.

I walk into the cafe quickly and find a seat. Hmm I think where is Tyler. A waitress comes over and asks me what I want.
"Could I please have a cup of coffee and a lemon bar?" I ask the waitress polietly.

CRAPPPPP!!!

"You're sorry? I'm sorry!" she pulled back, shocked. She hid behind her brunette hair.

"There's a bathroom over there." she said nodding towards the bathrooms if he wanted to..um...conjor up a new shirt.

Eugine took his hand. "Eugine de Boncour! Cute dog!" she noted, getting down on her knees and rubbing the dog.

"Actually, I AM the one too be sorry..." He was the one holding the dog. Who was strong.

"Yeah, I'll go in just a minute," He said and started tying the collar on a table-leg.
"You can sit down and I'll bring back a new cup of coffeé for you later," Jesper smiled at... Eugine? Sounded Francish. Anyway, chit-chat after cleaning his shirt.

"Cute maybe, but he's really as evil as a devil," Jesper said suspiciously and glanced at the golden fur.

"I'll be right back," He said and smiled politely, before going into the bathroom which Eugine had pointed out. He walked in to an empty booth and took his wand out, then pointed it at the shirt and mumbled a spell, verrryyyyy quietly.

Yes, she'd probably be surprised at how clean it got, but Jesper hatedddd to be dirty, and so he'd have to take that risk...

He bought two cups of coffeé on the way back to the table and sat down on one of the two chairs. "I'm sorry about that," He dashed a smile at Eugine.

Chloe walked down the street from the bookstore to the nearby cafe. Walking up to the counter, she looked at the menu and ordered a grande white mocha latte with carmel to go and waited as a barista made her order. Looking around the cafe, she noticed a few wizards who were obviously not very accustomed to being among Muggles. This, however, was something that Chloe was very used to. She could get along just fine without magic, she just preferred not to.

Olivia had decided to leave the ministry for her lunch today, and as such had discarded her work robes in the office and was wearing just her mggle attire.Being a muggleborn she was very used to the way they dressed, it was her favourite way.

And this....was a new cafe?

Glancing at the sign before she went in, Olivia shrugged and made her way to the counter, turning her attention to the assistant.Scanning the menu on the wall, she gave her order. "Could I get a glass of coke and one of those lovely looking jam donuts please? Thank you." Taking out her muggle purse, Olivia counted out the money and kept it in her hand ready to pay.

Handing over the coins, and after putting her purse away, she picked up her items, said her thank you's again to the assistant, and turned to look for a seat.Unfortunately she didn't see the woman just to the left of her and bumped into her, spilling some of the coke on her hand. "Oh I'm so terribly sorry, such a klutz.Did I get any on you?" Putting the glass down, she reached out and grabbed a few napkins to dry her hand, and the woman if needed, holding some out for her to take.

Chloe heard her name called at the counter and picked up her drink, paying for it with her Muggle money, not missing a beat. She smiled at the woman behind the counter and said thank you. As she turned around, another woman bumped into her and spilled some coke on her hand. "Oh, no, you're fine love! Don't fret!" she said, smiling and accepting the napkins from her, wiping off her hand. "Nothing some water won't fix. You didn't get any on you, did you?"

Chris went into the cafe that he had heard about. Knowing that this was a muggle building made him feel a little scared because he never used magic in these buildings. He ordered himself some food and sat down at a empty table. He liked muggle food a lot. The one thing he always needed though was cheese.

Prometheus walked into the cafe the sun shining at his back, his hands full after a spree on Regent Street.
Strolling over to the counter he placed his order, "Hi, umm could i just have a chocolate milkshake and a bowl of chips." After a busy day he felt like something that was not the healthiest, but tasty nonetheless.

He found a seat and scanned the cafe, dressed in muggle style, he knew he would not raise attention, after all he prefered jeans to robes anyway.
As his order was brought to the table, he wondered if they were any other Witches or Wizards in the cafe?

Olivia sighed with relief when the woman told her not to worry. "Oh good, I thought for a moment it went all down the front of you.Trust me to be so clumsy," she laughed, using some of the napkins herself to dry her hand. "Just a little on my hand, nothing major.Although I do seem to have alot less drink now.Might need to order another." She took a sip from her now half-empty glass and smiled.

Putting it back down on the counter, she looked around at the seats. "Were you planning on staying? We could share a table if you like, there don't appear to be many free ones left..." One, by her estimation.And it would be awfully nice to chat to a potential muggle.If indeed this woman was a muggle, Olivia couldn't tell.Which, actually for magic kind was a good thing.

Chloe laughed a little. "Oh, no, I have very fast reactions," which I attribute to dueling lessons. Chloe glanced around the cafe. She hadn't been planning on staying as she wanted to go to work early, but what they heck! She could stay and chat for a few minutes. Making new friends was always good fun. She smiled at the woman. "Sure, I can stay for a few moments. I'm Chloe, by the way, Chloe Everhart."

I walk into the cafe and see Amaria sitting alone in a booth and go join her.
I wave a waitress over and say, "Could I please have a latte and a cookie?" I turn to face Amaria. "How's life?" I ask Amaria.

Eugine smiled at Jesper was it? But he attention was at the dog. "Good boy!" she purred at the dog.

She grinned and sat down next to the too-cute-doggy. "How's a good boy?" she cooed, rubbing the dog.

"Thanks!" Eugine smiled at him. He was sweet. Young too deffiately.

She laughed. "I noticed. Isn't that the way the devil, appears?" she chuckled, and wagged an accused finger at the dog.

And away he went. Good thing too! He was COVERED in coffee. Latte, too be exact.

When he came back, his shirt was REALLY white. She glanced around at the muggles. No one seemed to have noticed. Sighs in relief.

Eugine looked up at Jesper walking back. "Don't worry. I wasn't the one that was covered in coffee!" she noted. "Thanks!" Eugine smiled and took the cup. Sip.

"I suppose," Jesper grinned at Eugine, but frowned when his eyes caught the dog. Yeah, he loved the animal, but in annoying situations like this he couldn't help but be a bit mad at him...

"Well, at least that was lucky," Jesper rolled his eyes. He was the one who saved the Damsel in Distress by spilling coffeé all over himself.

"So, Eugine, that sounds French...?" Jesper had always paid attention in that class particularly... He loved reading about other countries.

Eugine herself, did frown at the dog. Pant. Not her of course, the dog. "Hmm..." she said in wonder. Of course the dog wasn't the DEVIL! But you know...still...Que raised eyebrow!!

She half smiled at Jesper. He was funny. Not like toilet-jokes-funny. Buuuuuutttt, like what was the word muggles use?!?!? Uh!! She hated when she forgot. WHAT WAS THE WORDDDDD?!?!?!? Oh yeah, witty. He was witty.

"'Tis!" Eugine smiled, her dashing smile. Not in a flirtingly way but in a isn't-that-so-cooool? Or, you're-smart-kid! "I went to Beauxbatons, THEN went to this country. I would say AMAZING but the streets are kinda grimy!" she joked, and playfully shuddered. "Where you from?" she asked casually, bringing her coffee up to her lips.

Jesper shooked his head as the dog gave him the puppy-look. Yeah, he got bad feelings. Buuuhuuuuuu.

Jesper looked at Eugine curiously as the seemed to be struggling with something. Perhaps she was trying to remember a word. Or maybe she was trying to forget something... Jesper couldn't read minds, and so he couldn't tell...

Jesper smiled back. Eugine had a pretty smile. Jesper loved reading smiles, and so he loved people who smiled a lot. He sometimes on a good day couldn't even bring his mouth down... That would be on a veryyy good day.

"Beauxbatons?" Jesper said. "I've actually been to France three times," Jesper said proudly. He'd been to many places, and he loveddd France. "And yeah, I do agree," Jesper said and rolled his eyes. "I was born here in London, and trust me, the streets have always been this bad," Well, he'd grown up a bit outside of town... But still, it was London.

"So you like dogs?" Jesper said, and shot another glance at the furball under the table.
