Discussion Topic Four:

What do you think Sibyll did after the war? Do you think she continued teaching at Hogwarts? Do you think she left? What else about Sibyll's life? Married? Kids?

I believe Sybill remained as a professor at Hogwarts after the War. She certainly fought to maintain Hogwarts integrity in the final battle, so I can't imagine her leaving it anytime shortly after that. However, it must be admitted that if she wished to leave, there may not be anyone to convince her not to leave, as Dumbledore would have. He had wanted to keep her ability to prophecy (albeit sporadically) and her previous prophecies safe from Voldemort, but now that there is no Dumbledore and no Voldemort, if she wished to leave, I'm sure she would have been free to go pursue whatever she liked.

Perhaps once she'd seen enough devastation and death of colleagues and students, but also the triumph and happiness that followed, she would have had enough of predicting students' deaths and unhappy things, switching to happier or at least more level-emotioned predictions based on the methods.

I think that she would never want to leave. Hogwarts is her home, as she said, and I believe she loves it there. I wouldn't be surprised if she taught there for decades after the war.

there. Does anyone see her being the head of one of the houses ? I was just

Good question. She might have wanted to go off on her own for awhile, see what was out there. Dumbledoie had said she'd always be welcome there, and all the professors would do what DD said, so if she travelled the world for awhile, perhaps learning new things to teach her students. I can see her wanting to expand on her knowledge, not everyone knows everything after all, it would only be good if she tried expanding her mind.

It's very hard to imagine her away from Hogwarts. The school is her home and I think she feel more comfortable there than any other place in the world. So I have to agree with those that mentioned she stayed to teach for decades. She probably stayed until she was unable to teach .

I think she would continuue to teach at hogwarts as they are the only people that beleive what she says.

Teaching at Hogwarts was really important to Sybill, and I have a feeling that she would have continued with that after the war was over. As far as whether she ever married, I don't think so. I always imagined her and Snape as a couple, to tell you the truth.
