I think that Trelawney is a bit jealous. I mean, I'd be jealous of I had to slit up the Divination classes and most of the students prefered Firenze.

She is definitley jealous. I don't suppose you can really blame her. If you guys had to choose between her and Firenze for a teacher, who would you choose? She seems nice and all, but Firenze seems smarter. It'd be a tough choice for me, but I would probably choose Trelawney. | |

That would be hard because they both do diffrent things. Trewlany does crystal gazing and palmistry. But Firenze does star gazing. I wouldnt know who to choose. | |

Yeah, I'de have to say jealously is a big part on why she acts so rude towadrs firenze; se doesn't like the fact all the students love him and hate her, except for a few, and they'll be gone soon. She has to get over it though, I think in the end, those two will play a big part on the final outcome, or even a small part. | |

Well. If I wanted to learn about stars, I'd go to the Astonomy teacher. And, because Firenze only does the star-gazing, I'd get bored. At least Sybill teaches more then one thing, from the soggy tea-leaves reading of the tea-leaves to the fog in a ball crystal ball. Much more, um... you know, brain motivating if you get where I'm going with that.

Well she was deffinately jealous. I mean remember how Parvati wanted Firenze to her teacher in the last book. How would you feel if one of your most devoted students wanted to be taught by.... the other teacher and not you. And I suppose some people would say that Firenze was actually teaching divination, but that's a lie. How can you tell the future from a star? Aren't they stationary? Or at least I thought they were. The lunar alinement with the planets? No give me tea leaves any day instead of that!

True. Most of the girl students do like Firenze, but only because he's cute. The boy students like Firenze, because he doesn't predict nearly everyone's death all the time. But, Trelawney is funny in that way and we all like it.  | |

I agree! Sibyll is always predicting deaths, which could get veryyyy annoying. I don't really like her from a teacher view point, more from a character view point. She's such an interesting, juicy character and is so fun to read about. I also think she's kinda misunderstood. No one really takes her or her class seriously. | |

Okay I was just thinking because people seem to like Frienze better... maybe it just because he is someone different... Like a new novelty. And soon they will be fed up with him too... thats sometimes how it works with teachers and soon(i hope) the will be like 'Gosh I wish Trelawney was our teacher again'...
Zoe I have a question. Okay for the Officer apps. I sent mine in and I was just wondering if I got the idea of a Drabble right... because I've never written one(generally I only write stuff with chapters and I usually send 'em to my beta first) So I was just wondering if I did it right so I know what a drabble is for next time. Thanks

| A Drabble is a Fan-Fiction type of thing, but it is a story usually with 100 words. But, your Drabble for the application you two sent to me was just fine.
I wish Trelawney was my teacher. My math teacher! *Pokes math* She'd make it totally a Divination class. Which is just fine with me.

Hmmm.. Speaking of Sybill being a math teacher, do you think she'd be any good at other subjects, teaching wise? I'm sure she'd be a better math teacher then the one I have right now. Lol. She'd be like one of the best english teacher's too. Imagine the stories you could come up with!!
And as for the crystal ball thing. I say both. I mean, Harry saw Sirius in the crystal ball. He couldn't possibly have been thinking of him, could he? Although, if you think of an answer to someone's question, and then you see it in the crystal ball, would that be lying or....? | |

Hmm...I think she could probally do both. But I bet with like big predictions they just come to her without thought. Like if she were to have seen Harry's prophecy rather than said it out loud, It wouldve just came to her. But things like the weather and how her next lesson will go the next day, all she had to do is concentrate about it and it will show up on her crystal ball.

You know what She'd be good at teaching... Astronomy... OR something cool like Myhthology.. That class was in such demand when I was in high school... I had an english teacher in Grade 11 how was JUST like Trelawney. I mean EXACTLY like her. I loved that class!
