Because the majority of her prophecies don't come true. Which is an understandable reason as to believe she is a fraud. But as far as I'm concerned, her prphecies come true.. in a sense. | |

It is reasonable for them to say that she is a fraud as not everything that she preditcs really happens. But I find it hard to believe that all the predictions that Seers make come true. But that's just me...

Some of her predictions (that was the word I was looking for LOL) do actually come true. Come to think of it. I wonder, when Cedric was in his third, did he take Divination? Could Sybill have predicted his death then, but it just happened to be three years later that he died? He still died premature.... Oooooh. See? Some of her predictions come true. That is food for thought...

You do make a good point about the whole Harry death thing, but they also believe her to be a fraud before Harry. But Harry death prediction probably nudged it a little more...

I believe Harry will die in DH, therefore Sybill will in turn be right... Perhaps then, after Harry dies, Sybill won't be completely believed as a fraud. (If that makes any sense what so ever) So, if Harry dies, then her predictions are just slow to become true. AND... I had another point, but I can't recall what it was...
