He smiled over at a boy at the other table, feeling a little embarrassed that he'd been seen. Kid must have been staring at the kitchen doors waiting for dinner to be served. "Er, I don't really know. Sure smelled good though?"

Speaking of food, it looked like it had arrived. He was on the point of tucking in when he heard Rhea talking, and it sounded like she was introducing them to someone. Who'd have thought she'd get over her nerves so quickly! Matt turned to the girl who'd asked their names and held out a hand for her to shake, "Matthew Darcy, but you can call me Matt if you'd like. What might your name be?"

He heard some girl comment about stench off to the side and shot her a sympathetic look, "I know, you can barely breath for perfume and cologne. I think a few people marinated in it."
Ew.

Was one of them talking to her?

Solange simply looked over at another table where one of her past boyfriends sat with his band of quidditch monkeys, goofing about and making right cakes of themselves. There. That was why secondary school boys were SO not worth it.

The selection was bad enough before, with the nouveau riche, the pretenders to aristocratic bloodline and the *shudder* children of parents who were in TRADE. Now, with the addition of the mudbloods and poverty stricken, state school kids, it was APPALLING!

The look she gave her sister was a careful mixture of boredom and hopelessness.

Winchester was going to the crups.

SPOILER!!: Liss, Adrian, and Rhea

And TrophyKill, the Swiss School is like Hogwarts. Lauren HAS to stay in the dormitories. It is far away in the middle of nowhere. Not on anyone's property. And the hall in the Winchester Academy is just a tad bit smaller than the Great Hall. xDD So unless Lauren has a Great Hall in her house ....

And I continue to apologize for Vasilissa.

Vasilissa raised her eyebrows at the blue-haired girl. Obviously, she had never heard of blue bubblegums. What a pity. The corners of the brunette's mouth twitched, edging towards a smile as she wondered if that was the best this girl could do. She turned her dark gray eyes to Joseph when he told the girl there was blue bubblegum available in the market. He had vouched for her! The girl felt her heart swell and, were it not for the fact that it was Joseph, her friend, she would have kissed the boy. Her heart swelled further when she heard Mari Rei's response.

Lipstick? Her eyebrows shot up yet again. "It's called a lip gloss, sweetheart." Lissy informed the girl, puckering her lips to show her that it was, indeed, gloss. Vasilissa only wore lipstick on special occasions. The start of term feast did not count as a special occasion. "And you don't even need a lip gloss to help you look like a clown." The brunette looked up at the girl with big eyes.

Miss Von Lichtenstein obviously decided to ignore Allan like she always did.

And then Liss lost interest in trying to kill the girl's social standing. She seemed to be managing to do fine by herself. In fact, she killed it before she even spoke a word. And if that bragging was anything to go by, not that Liss didn't believe her word about her saying her parents were 'practically royalty' or anything, she was not going to be coming back up anytime soon. She had heard of the Reids. And their ... daughter. Blue-haired freak must be it.

Whatever.

"I only brushed my clothes once." She said, giving Torio a blank look. "And these clothes are not going to be fading off that easily." Boys. But then she looked at Megara. Inferior fabrics? One eyebrow shot right up. Apparently, even the girls couldn't tell the difference.

Gray eyes turned to look at a new pair of Swiss Academy losers who had come to join their table. Oh, no, wait. They HAD joined their table. Liss appraised the two, looking at the both of them up and down before deciding that she might be able to handle these two although the girl's clothes were so last season.

Still, she had the decency not to colour her hair blue. Or purple.

"And who might you two be?" Vasilissa inquired, not particularly interested to know. For the food had appeared.

And Liss was positively hungry.

Just a school? Just a school? Now, Rhea was not exactly a big fan of Lauren. The girl had this tendency to scare her, but these people were just ... horrible. She had heard the brunette comment on Lauren's hair. Well, sure, the blue did seem a little ... out of the ordinary, but there was no reason to give her a hard time over it. AND she was one of their own, being so rich and all.

Rhea, on the other hand, was neither filthy rich nor one with any sort of magic in her history. The girl hated to think of what would become of her in this place.

"They aren't humans, Matt!" Rhea exclaimed as he towed her towards the very group. "They are ... are ...." She paused, trying to think of a word that would describe them, but before she knew it, she was sitting on the very same table.

How did that happen?

Pale? Rhea looked pale? The sixteen year old gave the Japanese girl an uncertain smile. She was not comfortable here. Not at all comfortable here. And then the other one asked her a question. The mean one.

"Rhea, Rhea Steele." Rhea stated. Better answer her question before she ate Rhea up. "A sixth year at the Swiss Academy. And this is Matthew." Rhea looked down at the food and started to place some in her own place before peering at the girl like she was some sort of display thing from the corner of her eyes.

Don't attack me, please!

"No, actually." Adrian shook his head at Torio. "I find anything female human with a very pretty smile worthy of my attention." He corrected the boy. A conversation? Of course there would be a conversation! "When the time is right, my friend. When the time is right." Adrian patted the boy's shoulder before letting his attention wander back to the two ladies before him. The fight seemed to be over.

And Allan seemed pretty interested in the blue-haired girl. After gracing the girl with a nod when the boy introduced her to him -she did not ignore Liss, or break down. She deserved a nod, at least- pretty boy Adrian was attacked by air kisses. Diverging his head to one side, the seventeen year old let his gray eyes fall on the girl who stood before him.

... Who was this girl?

Dismissing her with a glance, the gray eyed boy left the table he was currently seated in to join the one right next to it. There seemed to be an addition on that table. Three, actually, but the boy didn't much care about the other two. After winking at Torio, the boy crossed the distance and, casually, took a seat next to Mari Rei.

"Hope I am not interrupting anything." Adrian smiled at the lot. Obviously, he wasn't.

Mari Rei simply pressed her lips together as she watched the girl that had joined. Rhea… If one caught the small details of her body language it became quite amusing. She, in Mari’s opinion, appeared to be incredibly uncomfortable (though who wouldn’t be in this crowd of lovelies?) and, was it intimidated? No doubt. They, Liss in particular, tended to have that effect on people.

Finally letting those rich, dark eyes drop from the poor girl, Mari glanced down at her finger tips again before tilting her head slightly and listening to the girl. “Rhea? Lovely name,” she complimented casually. It was true. And this one was much better than Blue anyways.

Finally, finally, the food appeared, smelling as amazing as ever. Thank god. She was starting to feel famished! Delicately she served herself a small portion of what was before her and placed her napkin in her lap. As she picked up her fork to begin, Adrian took a seat by her.
“One could say that, yes, indeed you are. However, lucky for you an interruption is exactly what we need,” she answered, her eyes looking dully at her plate as she moved her fork towards a small piece of broccoli. She brought it to her lips, finished, then looked to him, her fork lowered but still in hand.

“So do tell us about your plan of attack for this term. Will it be ‘timid and adorable’ or are you going with ‘wild and feisty’?” Her tone was a bit sarcastic, but not…rudely so. The lightest of smirks was still present on her face as she waited.

SPOILER!!: Torio

At least the cat-fight had managed to wind down. Pulled hair and broken nails was not a good way to start the semester, unless of course Adrian really did end up becoming Headmaster and he needed a few exciting speeches.

He was about to answer Lauren's question about being a musician as his hands went to straighten out the violin case again, when Alexei spoke. A slow, mischevious grin spread on his face as he shifted the case just the slightest bit. "At least I won't poke out eyes with my hair. You need a warning sign when you are walking around, Alexei." He jested, reaching out in the intention of ruffling the extremely spiked hair.

He would have succeeded had lips not suddenly appeared before him with hands. "What the---?!" His body jerked backwards in the chair just enough to get a glance at his attacker before...Oh. One eye squinted shut and the other blinking at nothing in particular he stilled, accepting the air kisses. "Hi Sylvette. Fashionably late I see."

Patting her hand until she parted, he shot a glance over to Alexei and achieved what he had been intending before he had been interrupted. A quick ruffle to the kids head and he wondered how distraught Joseph would be over the static mess. Grinning he sat back in his chair, folding his arms over his chest as Kiesha decided enough noise was enough and bounded off his lap to find an unoccupied chair in the corner of the hall.

It was when Adrian got up and moved around to the other table, that Torio once again swivled in his seat to see what was going on. There were a lot of people at that table. He scanned them and sighed when he noticed the girl Adrian had been eyeing. The wink all but confirmed it. 'Play nice Winchester...'

Shaking his head he looked at the other two newcomers and a smile passed over his lips; the girl seemed to be less in a need of a paper bag and the other boy.... "Were they cooking up anything interesting?" He rested his chin on the back of his chair and smiled at the Swiss students. "They tend to throw in an interesting concoction every now and then."

Alexei smirked amusedly once again at Torio’s returning comment. “Perhaps,” he answered with a shrug. “But what is it that they say? No pain, no gain? Style comes only from misery? Something of the sort,” he shook his head. “Either way people would appreciate being stabbed in the eye by such a fashion sense.” Having finished his statement, he instinctively moved out of reach of Torio’s arm. “Now, now. We don’t want to upset Joseph,” he said flicking a glance at the boy.

Alexei ended up with epic failure on the second trial of moving out of reach. He didn’t make too large of a deal out of it though, simply swatting his hand away. At worst, his hair could only be a new form of gorgeous. Bringing his hand to his blonde head he was pleased to realize that there was little damage done. Thank you Kanga for fabulous hair product.

Falling silent for a moment he watched Torio bring his attention back to Lauren. After a good 10 to 15 seconds he, in regard to the Japanese boy’s flirtation, said, “Cute.”

Returning his attention to a much more lovely sight, his China blues kept focus on her own. Sylvette Brynner: one of the blonde goddesses of the school with a strut that could catch any guys’ attention and keep it for longer than a glance. She was one to be remembered for a multitude of reasons.
Though all of this was very true in his opinion, he had never thought of her as anything other than an intriguing friend, you could say.

“Well thank god you did,” he responded, giving her a short appraising glance, no doubt pleased evidenced by the half smile he gave her. It wasn’t of course his signature smile, but any form of one was something for him.
He shook his head. “There’s the same people we all know and in theory love and then the Swiss students whom in no way deserve to be here, much less our attention.” By the looks of it they were all visual pollution or desperate need to be’s…

Anywho what she had really wanted to say was, "Looking after Flirt number one's back as always?" A shame really. The boy always seemed to protect Adrian's interests? Whatever, Torio should have been having a real conversation with her...like the good old times. But no, he preferred trying to save a lost cause.

OOC: Sorry about the confusion Austin: Torio turned to talk to Matt and Rhea, not Lauren again; unless I completely misread that. My apologies (either way XD). I didn't specificy very well XD

Torio decided that he liked this one; this Matthew Darcy. He had a way with words, and manners. The girl too, Rhea, looked like a kind soul, albiet as skittish as a deer bordering a highway.

Rolling his eyes a little at Alexei's personal perception of his hair, Torio took hold of the back of the chair and hopped around until he was at a good angle to properly address those at the other table. He pointed at the Swiss students in turn. "Matthew Darcy, Rhea Steele, and...Finland." Aka. Adrian's newest interest. "Right?"

Yes Alexei, he did listen, he wasn't always chatting.

"I'm Torio Ebusi, and this..." He reached over and gently took Sylvette's wrist, tapping the inside of it with his fingers to get her attention. "Is Sylvette Yula Brynner....Sylvette, Matthew Darcy, Rhea Steele and Finland."

Smiling he looked up at the girl, tilting his head playfully. "See T? Lots of interesting people to meet." Using his free hand to reach over the back of his chair, he patted the spot Adrian have vacated. "Why don't you sit a while with us T? It's not like you can eat very well standing up."

If Joseph had not been a spoilt little brat Stauffen he would have given the boy a thumbs-up. As it were, however, with the previously mentioned reason plus the one that the boy certainly did not deserve that kind of gesture, the 16 year old simply gave him a curt acknowledging nod.

Good boy. That way he wasn't directly confronted with the torture going on on the girl's head. Which was the BLUE hair of course. Shudder.

Honest!
Upon noticing the Finland's gaze on him - OF COURSE - Joseph's steel-gray eyes automatically flickered towards a nearby spoon for a second to make sure that his hair was still looking perfect. Well, it always did but y'know, for the occasion, it needed to be extraordinarily perfect. Which it was. Duh.

The corners of his lips had been on their way to tugging up into a small grin, however, stopped mid-way. It was the second time a smile literally froze on his face in the last few minutes. Which was totally creepy. Those noobs. They were going to drive him insane.

Totally. I mean, c'mon, OKAY?! "Yes, I do know...though, right now, I might regret it." He more muttered the last part than said it out loud. He openly frowned at the Finland-girl - even IF she was pretty, and extremely so - before dropping his gaze towards more interesting things.

His reflection in one of the spoons for example.

SPOILER!!: The ever so lovely Sylvette...or, y'know NOT. xD

Hormones...such a nuisance. Discarding his looks just as quickly as they came to her, Sylvette tugged at her hand for release.

Insufferable boy. Release my hand! she shouted in her head. However to others observing her she was merely frowning, with her hand in Joseph's and saying with her usual beautiful soprano voice, "Joseph! Ah yes. So nice to meet you?"

Even though a voice in her head kept telling her that Joseph was playboy number two only to Winchester, and that on countless occasions she had witnessed or been proof of that, Sylvette stomped on the voice and concentrated on releasing her hand.

Closely watching Sylvette to see her reaction Joseph's lips curled up into a rather smug smirk. Ha! There was it. A change in her facial expression. An not a good one either. Her pretty face was torn into a sort of grimace which probably - no, most certainly!! - derived from him. Hehe... He could play too.

Joseph softly kept his hand in place, therefore not releasing hers even as she started tugging at it. Not that it would be that obvious to the others surrounding her. It definitely was to him, though. He could feel her little hand moving in his. A smug glint flashed through his steel-gray eyes as he lay his gaze on her again with an innocent look on his face. Hmm?

Wait...was that a question? Apparently, she wasn't sure if it was nice to meet him. Well, it should be. It always was. He would be very delighted to meet himself. Uh...yes. "Well, it certainly IS nice to meet you, Sylvette." Joseph stated flashing an innocent fake smile at the girl.

The 16 year old acknowledged with yet another smug smirk that her hand was still in his as she turned to talk to Alexei. Hehe... Without particularly tightening his grip on her hand Joseph turned to the boy as well, giving him a curt nod. "Alexei, good to see you back."

Then upon listening to Sylvette's conversation with the other boy Joseph couldn't refrain from cutting in on it. "Well, I am glad you decided to come after all, Sylvette. It would have been a shame not to have you here." Cue innocent yet fake friendly smile.

Sylvette listened to what Joseph had to say with half ear, however the minute he said it was indeed a pleasure to meet her she gave him a small smile. “Of course it is. I mean, if one wants to survive in this world, one must make acquaintances with the elite. Consider yourself lucky to have met me—just imagine your poor fate had you missed me,” she spoke slowly. Even though Sylvette thought that perhaps Joseph would make interesting company, she wasn’t flattered at all. She expected everyone enjoyed her company, and by stating the obvious, that it was beyond nice to meet her, there was nothing to feel good about. It was a fact, people always loved her—or so she thought.

Once again trying to remove her hand, Sylvette realized that Joseph’s grasp on her was firm. It was a terrible thing wanting to speak to someone and having one’s hand captured by what Sylvette was starting to believe was a trap. Eyeing the boy as he practically repeated what Alexei said, Sylvette’s clear baby blue eyes widened.

“Now boys, I don’t believe we already have Charms homework to see who can charm the young damsel.” Giving Alexei a flirty smile, Sylvette ran a finger down his chest and her eyes slightly narrowed when he mentioned meeting someone, “Alexei, it’s quite offensive to think,” she began to slowly sink her fingernails into Joseph’s palm, “that I am searching for company among these people. Simply wondering if the fresh meat was…worth my glance.”

Suddenly her other hand was removed from Alexei and was found in Torio’s. Her annoyance began to rise as she took notice that everyone was touching her that day. Sylvette was about to sink her nails even more into Joseph’s when she felt the light tapping on her wrist, again from Torio. Raising an eyebrow and with eyes that showed apparent boredom, Sylvette stared at the meat she had been speaking about just that second before.

A boy that really didn't catch her interest in the least. Matt. Such a boring name. Even Joe's, wait Jose, John? Whatever his name was, was much more interesting. A girl who looked, oh dear no word to describe the obvious makeover she required. Sure the clothing she wore was fashionable. In the MUGGLE world. But it didn't even have a tiny bit of fashion that screamed of rich and power. Nothing of real class. Such a shame. With that, acceptable face...she'd barely cut decent. Sylvette's smile suddenly grew, at least Lea was better than boring Matt. And finally her eyes landed on the last little child. Age difference, according to Sylvette doesn't matter. It's all about experience. With this last girl she could only stare. Wavy brown hair. Huge dimples. Raising both eyebrows she smirked. Alas, Finland the mass of land that that Winchester flirt wanted. Poor unfortunate soul! Perhaps she'd have pity on the girl and help her? Probably not, seeing the little lady fall for Winchester would be much more fun.

Not even wasting a breath on introducing herself, because after all she had other people like Torio to do so for her; Sylvette rose a finger at Torio and leaned very slowly towards Joseph. Whispering softly, she let her soprano voice fill his ear and spoke, "If you want your hand intact, you might want to release my own. I'm sure you love the feel of my skin--after all my genetics are superb, but really darling my patience is ending."

Winking at Joseph or John as she was beginning to think was his name, Sylvette returned her attention to Torio and said, "SYLVETTE luv, best be not to fake forgetfulness. Really Torio, changing my name was so last year."

Waiting for the release of her hand, she glared at the empty seat beside the boy. It was almost as if Sylvette was considered second to Winchester. To be offered his seat? Just because he had left it to sit next to the country? Despicable. They could never be compared. Sadly while her family was almost blue, Winchester had his last name behind him. One word: annoying. However in the sake of the lovely company that was Torio, she would sit there. When. John. Boy. Gave. Her. Hand. Back.

Good boy. That way he wasn't directly confronted with the torture going on on the girl's head. Which was the BLUE hair of course. Shudder.

Left with very little choices, Megara gave her sister a sympathetic smile. It seemed they were destined to be slumming for the remainder of the term. How utterly pathetic! Sniffing, as she was suddenly (and dramatically) filled with self-pity, the auburn-haired young girl attempted to pay attention to the pointless conversation going on.

It was difficult though to even look at most of them. It was enough to make her cry.

OOC: I don't...know. I assume Adrian is with Finland, Matt and...Rhea and..?? Maybe. haha.

There were so many BOYS around, Finny didn't know which one to focus on. Instead, she let her bright eyes bounce from face to face, lips partially parted in awe. Pretty boys too! Excitedly, she grasped Matt's arm to keep herself still lest she jump and do something regrettable.

Blinking, Finland tugged on a lock of her hair. "You regret being nice? That's like, weird, no? I mean..." she trailed off and bit her lip. Seeking guidance (or brain power) she looked up at Matt expectantly before returning her gaze back upon Joseph. "If you're going to regret you shouldn't be nice at all, right? Saves loads of energy and stops the brain from hurting."

Speaking of brain pain; ow! Wincing and pouting, Finny reached up to rub her own head.

After Adrian was done with the plate of vegetables, the boy lazily handed it to the person sitting next to him, not bothering to ask if that person even fancied the item. "I am glad to hear that." He told Mari Rei as he picked up his own fork and casually stabbed a carrot with it.

... Plan of attack?

Throwing her a mock-surprised look, the gray eyed boy tilted his body to completely face the girl sitting next to him. "Why, Miss Mikoto!" He gasped at her, "Whatever do you mean by that statement?"

SPOILER!!: Sylvette who made the worst mistake of her life by competing against Joseph for the position of 'I am the most self absorbed'

Ooooh-kay. This was going too far. Somehow this conversation was now totally revolving about SYLVETTE!!!! Which was just impossible. No conversation - both involving and not involving - him couldn't be about HIM! Okay...wait...that were loads of negations...did that make sense? Uh. Well, every conversations was supposed to be about HIM so, guh, what were they doing talking about SYLVETTE!?!?!?!

Frooooooooooooown!!!

Joseph simply stared at pretty blonde girl for a moment, not because he was at a loss of what to say - that was something which NEVER happened, there was always SOMETHING he said - but because he just couldn't believe that she had taken his words seriously. Cocking one eyebrow at her he smirked slightly before leaning in a little bit. "I was being sarcastic, honey!" Was that sympathy in his voice?

OUCH! What the heck?! A look of surprise flashed across his face as he felt fingernails sinking into his palm. If that left some kind of mark on his skin...well, Sylvette wouldn't want to know the end of it. Almost immediately he put on a rather blank - if not even smug - facial expression again. Ha! So, he was annoying her. Good...very good. She would remember him this time.

Watching the conversation around him Joseph's lips curled up into an amused smirk at Sylvette's obvious annoyance about everyone and everything. Especially at the fact that Torio now took her other hand and introduced her to the two noobs.

The 16 year old widened his steel-gray eyes innocently as Sylvette leaned in to whisper something into his ear. Something not too friendly. However, Joseph was not intimidated - okay, actually he was a little scared that she might actually damage his hand, after all, how would he do his hair without his hand?! - so at least his face was free of any sign of fear. He was not going to give her the satisfaction.

Immediately releasing her hand Joseph gave her a grin and let out an innocent chuckle. "Oh, certainly, honey. Anytime." He replied, without bothering to whisper. And with that he decided to completely ignore Sylvette for now. His reflection was a lot more interesting after all. Especially because this one strand of hair was still standing at a slightly different angle than the others.

Guh!

While fiddling around with his hair Joseph sucked at his lower lip trying hard to not pay attention to what Sylvette was doing. Which was kinda hard...especially as Torio chose to offer her a seat. Luckily, it was on the other table (I think xD) but upon giving it a quick glance he couldn't help but smirk broadly. It was the seat Adrian had been sitting on.

After not even a second of thought Joseph broke his law of ignoring Sylvette. He just couldn't not comment on this. It was just priceless. "Yes, you really should take Winchester's seat." Smiiiirk!

Guh! What Finland had to say so didn't make sense! Or at least Joseph thought it didn't. He wasn't entirely sure. His brain was still trying to process all the information it had just received. Which seemed to be taking some time. Well, not that if her comment did in the end turn out to make sense he would admit it. No...he was right. Period. No point in arguing.

The moment her gaze was back on his face the 16 year old felt the need to reply something. Otherwise he would look dumb, or worse, he would look as if he AGREED with what she had said. So, answer...brain...work..."Well, most of the time you don't know if you are going to regret it beforehand because...cause...cause you just don't know!" Ha! Now, counter that you evil girl!

Sylvette discarded the way Joseph was treating her, after all Josh was just jealous he didn't have Sylvette's physical beauty. Forget the fact she knew he was attractive, but jealousy could blind even the brightest of men. Not that she knew he was bright or anything it was a merely a thought of hers. Wanting to flip her hair over her shoulder and being unable to, due to the lack of free hands, she tilted her head and listened to what the others had to say.

Only to be interrupted by Joseph's oh-so-very-non-discreet way of responding to her threat. If the hidden pulsing vein by her hair would've been visible, it would have been a huge indicator that people had to run for cover. REALLY soon. Like oh my gosh guys run like oh my gosh now~ --that of course in the language of the pompous...or something. With a movement of her head, much like all muggle hair product commercials, Sylvette flipped her hair over her shoulder and gave a beaming fake grin at Joseph. When suddenly recognition hit when he called her honey.

Bloody evil Merlin. Joseph. Joseph Miles Stauffen. The boy whose glinty annoying golden hair was legend. The boy who had tried to make her...HER SYLVETTE one of his pathetic fangirls. The boy who the year before had flirted with her endlessly and had actually thought she had fallen for his charms. The only boy she had actually fled from because he was too annoying to be in the presence of.

Slightly at loss Sylvette did what she knew best. Baby blue eyes filled with boredom, yet with x-ray power, stared right into Joseph's gray ones. It was to her great pleasure that he broke eye contact and began to fiddle with his appearance. Satisfied with the outcome, Sylvette was about to walk over to Torio, because she finally had her hand back...cheers go here? the boy spoke again. And to her disdain she took notice of the sarcastic evil teasing or more like taunting way he told her to sit in what used to be Winchester's seat.

This. Was. War.

Two could play that game. Pausing in her strut Sylvette turned towards Joseph and she gave him one of her photogenic smiles. All innocence and beauty she walked back towards Joseph and let him take in her very expensive wind breeze perfume. Anyone not in the conversation would only see two beautiful people exchanging words, two beautiful people that really didn't belong in a school, but on film to be remembered forever.

This time she did what she would never do to others, she grabbed his hand and with one smooth jerk pulled him off his seat. Sylvette's wondrous height at 5'10" was still no match to Joseph's 6'1", looking straight into his eyes she intertwined her arm with his and forced him to follow her towards the seat that had been Adrian's. What no one could see, was that the only reason Joseph followed her was because she had her wand stabbing at his ribs in threat.

Magically disappearing her wand back into her handbag, Sylvette pushed Joseph into the empty seat and sat right on his lap. Looking at him with amusement she added, "Much more comfortable. Right...honey?"

Allan had been watching the exchange between Joseph and Sylvette, while picking at the food which ahd appeared on his plate. He laughed to himself, as the girl just about pushed Joseph into the seat left vacant by Adrian. He arched an eyebrow gracefully, laughing. It seemed Adrian was too preoccupied with one of the new girls to much care who'd taken his seat.

"Evening." He said politely to the two new aditions to the table. The girl seemed to be taking charge of whatever situation had arisin. Go figure, someone of Sylvette's besuty tended to run just about everything here. And dispite her looks, nothing about her drew him in. She bored him, and her attitude drove him crazy.

His eyes flashed back to Lauren, who was looking slightly bored with the banter. "No worries," He said lightly. "All this tends to blow over in a few days. First day back... Everyone needs to try and make their presence known." He rolled his deep brown eyes and took a sip from the goblet of water beside him.

"Hm, at least you're not quite so..." She glanced between the snotty brunette at the other table, and the two blondes who'd just joined them. "Obnoxious about it." She said lightly, poking a few carrots with her fork.

To be honest, the banter, while amusing, was similar to that of her own family. The 'who-can-be-the-most-blatently-irratating' entrence was common during family gatherings at her grand mothers. Not that she ever really joined in the fun.

Her pale blue-green eyes drifted from Allan back to Alexie. There was something different about him. He was quiet, unlike the others from this school. Yet he didn't seem shy. A man of few words, perhaps? Interesting. She looked away again quickly, eyeing the violin case still on the table. Seeing it there made her want to leave the table, find herself a piano and work on her music. She sighed heavily, and continued to pick at her supper.

Oh, Pendragon Heir, why was Adrian speaking to them at this moment? Pursing her lips, Meg observed him with a surly expression over her shoulder. "Isn't that obvious?" she retorted haughtily. "Please, don't make me waste my breath. I'm doing my best not to inhale more than necessary."

Matt looked at both sides of his hand before shrugging at the snobby girl and promptly ignoring her. He really didn't have time for people like that, to be honest. There were a lot of friendly folks around, and if she wanted to sit there and peck at her dinner she could.

He was going to tuck into his own food when Finland started grabbing his arm and bumping into him. She was looking to him to clear up confusion? Well that was just a terrible idea waiting to happen. In the time he'd taken to hold out a hand for a shake, people were sitting in each others' laps acting all lovey and other people were insulting one another. This school was downright bizarre, was what it was.

~ Rise and Rise Again, Until Lambs become Lions ~

Torio blinked at Sylvette, leaning back in his chair away from her and her captive a little as he laughed. "Whoa there cowgirl. Let's not go branding the bull so early in the semester. There's plenty of time to..." He blinked at the two as he let go of Sylvette's hand. "Well there's plenty of time to tear each other's throats out. Let's not waste the fun of the semester so early, shall we?"

His grin turned to Allan, teasing. "And you make your presence quite well known by the magnitude of that eyeroll. One can see it all the way across the Hall."

He was going to comment on Lauren's rather intereste eyeing of his violin when he caught wind of Adrian's innocent betrayal of intent. Turning a little he arched an eyebrow at the other boy; whatever did she mean indeed.

Then Finland spoke up, and about Joseph being a Seer none-the-less. She appeared rather excited about the matter. Torio blinked at her. Two options came to mind. See if he could get another girl latching on the poor, pinned Joseph who had both hands full with Sylvette, or give turn the attention elsewhere. Adrian looked relaxed.

A grin split his lips as he let out a small chuckle at Finland's words. "No no. Joseph can only see about as far as his reflection in a spoon." He nodded at Adrian with a mischevious grin. "He on the other hand, is our future Headmaster. Isn't that right Adrian?"

Allan laughed lightly at his friends comment. "Be that as it may... I don't take it to the extreme that some people in here do." He replied with a sleepy smile.

He looked down at the violin case before the other boy, then back. "Are we ever going to hear you play?" Allan asked, pointing to it with a forkfull of potatoes, before eating them. He arched an eyebrow, and glanced between Torio and Lauren. "Maybe you guys could work on something together. You're always complaining that no one else in this place knows anything about music. And she's classically trained." He shrugged half heartedly. "Just a suggestion..."

When. John. Boy. Gave. Her. Hand. Back.

Her pale blue-green eyes drifted from Allan back to Alexei.

"Likewise," Alexei answered the boy. Joseph. He was never able to figure out fully what he felt about him. It was safe to say it wasn't hatred, because that sort of feeling is blatantly obvious, not only to the individual feeling it, but to the person it was towards. He was well humored, which was often refreshing, but often pugnacious as well. All in all, he wasn't completely miserable to have around.

Turning his eyes back to Sylvette, Alexei once again gave his famous smirk. "Fantastic," he answered, turning his eyes to the food before them and slowly dishing himself up a small amount. "I can promise you that none of them will be worth even a glance." Perhaps if they all pretended they did not exist at all, then this dreadful year would go by much faster. From this point on he fell back into silence, only politely eating while listening to the conversation going on around him. It was, after all, what some would say he does best. He found himself quite amused actually. Sylvette was certainly worth having around. While she was much like all the other girls at Winchester, she actually brought something to the table that many of them didn't. Fun.

As he took another bite of his food, he had the faint feeling of being watched. He ignored it for a moment, not caring so very much and finished chewing before finally he glanced up. He happened to do so as the suspected starer looked away--purely timing, not because she noticed him at all. It was the... musical girl. For the first time that evening, he didn't think anything negative of her appearance, but rather wondered how talented she was in the music that she clearly loved (hence the violin she carried around).
Again, he casually looked back to his plate, delicately stabbing at a vegetable.

... Plan of attack?

Throwing her a mock-surprised look, the gray eyed boy tilted his body to completely face the girl sitting next to him. "Why, Miss Mikoto!" He gasped at her, "Whatever do you mean by that statement?"
Mari Rei gave a half smile, her dark eyes amused. "Save it Winchester. You always have something in mind, and no doubt you're looking into the newbies. And mind you, while that's disgusting, it could potentially be a fun game. Any of them would drool at your feet, because they've never seen such a god. And might I remind you, we dated at one point, so I know, like most, how quickly you move from one girl to the next." As always, she was blunt, but with Adrian much less brutal than she could be. It was all in good humor, not bitterness in the least and she ended with an awaiting smile. "So? Who's the creme of the crop this year?"
