*Mattie steps off the carriage and joins the group headed for the castle steps. A big smile appears as she looks up at the towering castle. Mattie then comes back to reality a little to late and runs all over one third of the famous trio*

Oh, Sorry about that Ron. *she smiles and pats him on the shoulder*

"Um... none of my friends want to be on the teams, so do you think we could ask some of your friends?" Day asked, hinting that they not sit with Draco.

Johnathan was with the others waiting as they went in.

Guin came out of a carriage with some other Gryffs, Neville, and the others. She noticed Ron alone and decided to go talk to him.

"Uh, no problem," Ron said, smiling. "You're Mattie, right? I think we had Charms together last year."

He noticed Guin approaching and waved.

Wyn smiled broadly. "Sure... I bet they'd like that."

The two girls moved into the Great Hall. Wyn looked briefly at the charmed ceiling and sighed. She really was back at Hogwarts. She scanned the Slytherin table, looking for John..

Day followed Wyn into the Great Hall.

"Yes, Mattie is me! And yeah I think we did have Charms together. I just loved that class. So where are your other halfs?"

*watches Guin approach*

"I don't know actually." Ron scratched his head. "Didn't see them for the whole train ride." He adjusted his luggage carefully.

"Well, how was your summer, then?"

Some how John lost Wyn so he decided to go in and was seated at the Slytherin table very far away from Draco and his two goons. He scanned for Wyn but didn't see her, he thought she might be with that girl Day but he didn't mind.She could be friends with whomever she wanted as long as their friendship wasn't dead.

He wanted to tell her but was still afraid and thought that maybe later in the year was best fit for it.

Guin saw Ron wave and decided to go to him. He was with another girl, Mattie, she had no problems with her...yet.

"Hey Ron!" She said as she made it to him. "Hello." Sh esaid to Mattie.

Wyn hit John on the back of the head. "Shove over... make room for us." She sat down on the bench, leaving room for Day beside her.

"Hi Guin!" Ron smiled broadly. "You know Mattie, I suppose?"

"Hi Guin" *She gives the Gryffindor a huge hug* "I don't believe I have ever really properly spoken to you before. It's nice to meet you. I was just about to tell Ron here about my summer, but let's make our way into the Great Hall.

*makes for Ron and Guin to follow her into the Great Hall*

My summer was a lot of fun, though I desperately missed Hogwarts. I went to Canada to visit a couple of friends. So how about you two?

"Practiced Quidditch most of the summer. The whole family went to Romania for a couple of weeks to visit Charlie. That was alright I suppose." Ron ran a hand through his hair and continued down the aisle of the Great Hall.

"Romania? That's awesome! Well, sorry you two Gryffindors, but I have to go and join my table now. I'll see ya'll around. Don't be a stranger!!"

*Mattie heads for the Slytherin table and takes a seat close to John*

"Hi John! I missed you this summer! Why ya sitting all the way back here in the back?"

Wyn leaned around John and smiled at Mattie. "Matts! We missed you on the train... what happened to you?"

HI Wyn!! I'm sorry about the train..I got to the station a little early and got a seat right up front...Sorry I didn't come find you guys. I was entertaining some first years...

Ron looked around and found a seat at the Gryffindor table near the end.

He still couldn't see Harry or Hermione, but he left an empty seat beside him. Hopefully Guin wouldn't mind.

Wyn cocked an eyebrow at this news. Sometimes Mattie was a little too good to be Slytherin.

John noticed Wyn sit down beside him and then day. "ha sorry Wyn." He said as he shoved over after she sat.

"Hey Mattie! Oh here...haha I just am." He said with a smile and laugh.

"Well I'm Guin! And it was nice to meet you Mattie." Guin said as she made her way with Ron to the table. She turned to Ron," So how are you? We missed you in the carriage."

"I'm alright," Ron said, smiling now that Guin was sitting with him. "I couldn't find you guys! I got on the train left and the only empty cars were with Jonathan and those guys. Did you see Harry or Hermione?"

"Well yeah I was with them, we were kinda wondering we that you might of done something crazy again." She said with a laugh.

Ron cocked an eyebrow. "Something crazy?" He grinned. "Never."

*Mattie sees the look from Wyn*
Well, I was telling them that the sorting ceremony was really painful. And that they had to swin across the lake to get to Hogwarts. I had them petrified."

Jay finally makes it to the table, "hey Ron, I guess you woke up huh?" looks over to Guin, "hey you're Guin aren't you,?, Oliver's sister.... right?, boy he was some player" Jay looks around, "oh I see Wyn and Day decided to join John after all, hmmm" they all begin to look around, "I wish they start the sorting," he says, "I'm starving."

*Leigh walks into the GH and over to the Slytherin table and slides into a seat near John*"Hey guys,"she says."I got lost in the crowd out there."she says with an exhasted smile.
