*Leigh reaches over and rubs his hand*" I think that's great,"she says to him with a smile."You're following your dream, which is great."she says to him."Would you let me read any?"she asks with warm eyes and smile."I love to read poetry and the like."she tells him.

Jay"s heart lifted as he looked up at Leigh, "really, you promise you won't laugh, some of them are just silly little things I scribbled down"

"Not at all,"she says as she smiles at him."I wouldn't laugh."she says solemly

Johnathan just listened from the side. He just stared out the window and looking at the others. He wondered what was wrong with Wyn, he didn't like her being sad. He'd known her forever and when she was sad he was to.

Wyn stared out the window, lost in her own thoughts. Why was she always jumping to conclusions about people? She could really kick herself.

She caught John frowning at her from the corner of her eye and knew that her mood was affecting his as well. She smiled at him and resolved to make an effort to join the conversation.

*Leigh looks up and smiles at John, and then Wyn*

"well," Jay said, "remember back in the train, when you guys allleft me alone, I was sitting there just staring out the window and I started hear, no feeling the train's rythem, 'clackity-clack, clackity-clack, and I started scribbling this," Jay hands Leigh a parchment and she begins to read

Made of steel and wood, and powered by steam, the Hogwarts Express is the train,
That brings students to Hogwarts, first years through the seventh and carries them back
home again.

It begins it's great journey from dawn until dark full of first years with anticipation,
you receive your instructions, proceed down to London, platform nine and three
quarters, King's Cross Station.

Upon your arrival, you notice no platform, exists between those nine and ten,
but, when guided by wizards, you notice the portal, and when no one is looking you
then.

Pass through the stone wall and exit beyond, to find truth to what others have said,
the most beautiful site that you've laid eyes upon, full of steam, painted black and red.

You find yourself joining the other first years and those students who've been here before,
you find empty seats til the cabins are full and the engineer shouts, "all aboard."

With a belch and a jolt, lots of smoke in the air, sweet London starts fading away,
up to speed with a clatter, you settle in tight, for a journey that takes a whole day.

Later on you feel hungry and ready to eat, there's a trolley full of wonderful things,
like licorice wands and chocolate frogs and Bernie Bott's Every Flavor Beans.

As the day moves to night, and you change to your robes you'll see faces both young and
old,
there's been teachers and prefects, who've walked down those halls, and
dementors, one year, I was told.

You arrive into Hogsmeade at the station in town, as the train slows down to a stop,
you are greeted by Hagrid, see breathtaking mountains, your in awe of the castle
on top.

So many before you and many behind, take the journey to Hogwarts and back,
and you'll never forget how you got there, 'board the steamer of red and black.

The train's on…track…hear…..claaackity-claaack, it's…bringing…the…students……of……Hogwarts………..baaaa aaaaaaaaack….sssssssssssssssssssssssssss….

Jay look at the others to see if they're laughing...

Day got out a piece of parchment and began to make a sign-up sheet for intramural Quidditch. She just hoped Wyn would still want to help her out with it...

Wyn's half-hearted smile turns to a real one as she watches Leigh skillfully juggle flirting with two boys at once.

She listened to Jay recite his poem. "That's excellent, Jay. Don't sell your skill short."

"So... we're almost to the castle..."

John just smiled at Wyn and Leigh, but continued looking out at the castle ahead them. He was excited and saddened about his last year. The fact that it was his last year kept popping up in his mind.

Also that this year some things would have to be said...It was scary but it was better this year or never because after this they might not see each other again.

Johnathan barely heard Jay's poem but just smiled at him, "That was...good..." He said then turning to the window again.

"Thats really good Jay!"says Leigh with a smile."Very very well written,"she says as she looks down and skims the paper again."Really? We are?"Leigh says when Wyn says so."Wow, that went by fast!"she says."But this is really good Jay! You guys should read it."she says to John and Wyn.

Wyn nodded in response to Leigh and stared at the castle growing closer and closer. It was so bittersweet to be entering her last year at Hogwarts. She tried to dwell on the sweet and ignore the bitter - this was the year when her loyalties would truly be decided.

The carriages slowed and Day thought about asking Wyn if she could sit with her. For some reason, this summer hadn't been as fun as she thought it would have been and Day didn't really want to sit by Draco.

Jay quickly draws a breath, "oh I don't know...." worried abut how they might tease him, but it was too late, Wyn grabbed the parchment

"Holding out on me, Gryff?" Wyn teased and scanned the parchment. "Hey... this is really good. You really shouldn't doubt yourself so much."

She felt the carriage jerk to a stop.

"I think they are really good,"she says with a smile."Gosh I can't believe we are almost there."Leigh says outloud."Out last year..." her smile fades into a sad nostalgic look. Leigh thinks about all the things she has done over the years and what life will be like after her last year.

Johnathan was the first one to get out of the carriage waiting for the others to get out and join them.

"Were here guys!" He said walking up the stairs.

"thanks, Wyn" says Jay, "it's not so much that I doubt myself, it that I don't think I can stand up to my father about this", Jay turns to Leigh, "I really appreciate you listening to my babbling I didn't realize how quickly we got here", Jay folows John out and helps the ladies out

*Leigh gets out of the carrage and walks up beside John*"Thank you Jay,"she says as he helps her out."And I'd listen to you anytime."she says with a smile."Gosh, we are here..."Leigh says absentmindedly as she walks up the stairs.

John waits for the others on the top of the stairs all nervous like as if it was his first day at Hogwarts all over again.

*Leigh walks up beside John and gives him a confident smile as her insides flip flop over the excitement of another year, that happens to be her last*

Wyn drags her feet, a strange part of her feeling as if maybe if she prolonged its starting, she could hold onto this whole year.

At the top of the stairs, she paused with the others from her carriage. Wyn shot a look over her shoulder and saw Day climbing out of her own carriage, scowling silently.

"Should I invite her to sit with me?" she wondered to herself.

Day followed Draco up the stone steps. When she looked up, she saw Wyn. Looking over at Draco flirting with Pansy, Day walked resolutely over to Wyn. "Do you want to sit together at the feast? We could talk a little bit more about the Quidditch stuff."

Ron was suddenly jarred from his nap, not having realized he had fallen asleep on the train-ride up. He saw that the others were almost off the train so he hurried to catch up.

He still had no idea where Harry was, or Hermione, but figured he should stay with this crowd. After all, for Slytherins, they weren't too bad.

Wyn looked up at the sound of Day's voice and let her friends pull ahead of her. She tried to keep her voice even, "Yeah, I'd like that."

She glanced at Day's friends, then at her own, not sure which group they were going to actually sit with. She'd just follow Day's lead.
