Ashlie nodded and smiled at Maddi. "Pleasure," she greeted the girl and nodded at her lemonade request. No sooner had the girl placed her order than another of Jamie's girls arrived. Jen. Or Jenzy, as Jamie happened to call her.

"Here you are," she said, grabbing two plastic cups (because she had no idea how klutzy these girls might be) and filled one with water and the other with a fresh pitcher of lemonade. "On the house, since you're with me." she told them both.

"Mmm..." Aero agreed, making no move to leave either. "Ashlie's doing well, I'm sure," she said, smiling. She knew she wasn't. She knew Ashlie was probably ready to rip out everybody's hair and force feed it down someone's throat. But Aero refused to move just yet.

Jen stared at the plastic cup for a second before taking a sip of water. It wasn't like she was 5 years old and needed a sippy cup. Actually sippy cups were better than plastic because they came in a variety of colors. Oh well. It would not be a good idea to upset Ashlie. After all, she would be her guest soon.

"Thanks," she replied taking another sip.

Tyler smiled into Aero's hair. Her scent mixed with that of the books was rather intoxicating. They both knew Ashlie was probably ready to strangle someone. As helpful as she could be, Ashlie was just not a morning person.

Now he was torn between staying here with Aero or getting back to work. It really wasn't very nice of them to leave Ashlie by herself. With a sigh he said, "We really sould get back."

A faint pop was heard and a hooded figure emerged from a dark corner of Diagon Alley. Two heavily scarred hands reached up and pulled back the hood of the traveling robes, revealing the scarred face of an older woman. Her blue eyes scanned the street from behind a pair of square spectacles. Satisfied that there was no emminent danger, she began to walk slowly towards her first destination - Quality Quidditch Supplies. A few minutes had passed before she reached the shop and opened the door.

Unaware that his least favorite person in the entire world was about to enter his shop, Maximus was enjoying himself. Business was brisk earlier that morning and galleons were being made. Looking at the clock on the wall, he realized it was time to close the shop and take a much deserved lunch break. He had just walked over to the window and placed a sign announcing the shop would be closed for a few hours when the door opened. His insides froze when he saw who it was.

"Good day, Luciana," welcomed Max in a cold voice. "And what brings you to my fine establishment?" He stared icily at the woman.

"Max," replied Luciana in a cold voice. "We need to talk." She looked about the shop and saw that it was just the two of them. "In private."

"And what do we need to talk about?" he said as he locked the door and pulled down the shades for privacy. He turned around and glared at the woman. It was going to take a great deal of effort for him not to use an unforgivable curse on her.

An hour later, Max unlocked the door and ushered Luciana out. "You forget that she is of age and can make her own decisions now!" he harshly whispered. "She has every right to know what happened." He glared at her.

Luciana stared icily at him. "How dare you! Don't even think about going against me," she hissed and stormed off down the street.

Max watched as she disappeared down the street of Diagon Alley. He ran his hand through his long, blonde hair. "I need a drink." He closed the door behind him and made his way to the Leaky Cauldron.

Fatima smiled and shrugged. She didn't see herself being a star. She doubted she ever would be. All she wanted was to have a little fun and acting gave her that. It was all she could ask for.

"I'm starving," she complained to her only friend. "Where is the stupid service--people thing?"

Fatima was never good with words, obviously. Something of a problem for an actress.

But then he realised that even if he lost, it's not like he would have to pay for the ice creams anyway. Having sisters who ran Ice Cream Parlours came in very handy sometimes. He jogged after Astoria, alternating the jogging with skipping in an imitation of her earlier attempts.

Max grumpily stomped into the Leaky Cauldron and headed directly to the bar. He sat down at the first available barstool and drummed his hands on the bar, hoping to gain the attention of the bartender.

"Give me a Firewhisky," he muttered and tossed a few coins on the bar.

Jamie's face fell. He had hoped, seriously hoped, he was wrong. And... she wasn't denying it. And and... now.... he couldn't even think properly. She didn't like Maddi? And now... she didn't seem happy. He felt his stomach twist into knots. This was not possibly right. How could Bucky dislike Maddi?

"But... I... why?" he asked, ignoring her question about French Toast. This was not a time to discuss French Toast.

Aero nodded and, much to her distress, pulled away from Tyler, not removing her arms from his neck. "I suppose so," she agreed dismally. "We need to keep Ashlie from quitting. We need all her help." She chuckled lightly and took his hand in hers.

Ashlie glanced up at the angry man tossing his money over. Well. He certainly was a bit of a non-morning person too. She made sure to grab one of the most full bottles and pass it to him.

"Bit early to be drinking, eh?" she asked, arching an eyebrow.

Max snapped out of his surly mood for a brief moment when he heard a young woman's voice. He smiled at her and winked as he poured himself a shot. "It's never too early for a stiff drink," he said humorously and lifted the glass in the air. "Cheers!" He downed the shot in a split second and slammed the glass down on the bar.

"So, what's a beautiful young woman like yourself working in a place like this?" he asked her as he poured himself another drink.

Ashlie watched, with slight amusement, as he downed the shots and sat on the stool behind the bar, smiling with amusement, pink cheeked. She took oddly to compliments. "Well," she said. "I wouldn't think I'm that beautiful, but I'm doing what any woman does. Trying to make money." She shrugged and blushed deeper. "What's someone like you doing gourging down shots?"

Elena tuned Fatima out as she watched a very attractive man walk into the pub. Now this was the reason she had been hoping to get away from her family. They didn't exactly approve of her gentlemen friends. "Hmmm?" she mumbled twirling a strand of hair around her finger. "Oh. Service. Well I'm pretty sure you have to dance on tables."

As she said this, she pushed her chair away from the table and stood. "Hey! Could we get some service over here? And while you're at it maybe some music too?" she asked as she clambered to a standing position on the table.

"Come on. Let's go rescue her," Tyler said leading Aero out of the corner they had somehow managed to find themselves in. He would have to remember to come back for the stationary later.

Ashlie glanced up in surprise at the girl standing on the table. "Oh!" she gasped. "Uhm... oh... sorry... I didn't realize you needed service..." she said. "Sorry, no music. But I'll get that toast to you." She flushed and turned to the man. "I'm.... it's not bad service... just... I don't normally go to the tables to wait. I don't like interrupting." She gave him a half smile, looking a bit paid. "Madame who?"

Aero walked in, still holding onto Tyler's hand. She glanced in to see a flushing Ashlie and laughed in amusement before spying the girl on the table top. "What are you doing?" she asked, horrified. Sanitation guides would kill her!

And... was that girl snogging a boy. In his lap?

"What is going on?" she asked, horrified even more. "Y-You two!" she gasped, sputtering. She spied Jamie talking to one of his friends in the back, and two more just standing round, Ashlie making toast and talking to some man at the time.

This was helll in her pub!

Maddi smiled at Jen as she sat down. "Guess we're the only ones left." She commented at the lack of others around. She smiled up at Ashlie as she was handed the lemonade. She didn't notice the plastic cup what so ever and took her first sip. "Thank you" She said bobbing her head a bit.

Elena stared at the woman behind the bar. Granted she didn't have the best memory but Elena didn't remember asking for toast. Making no move to get down from the table, she said, "No toast, thanks. But I'll have what he's having." At this, she pointed to the man sitting at the bar.

Tyler followed Aero into the Leaky Cauldron and unlike her, his reaction was one of amusement instead of horror. Not yet releasing her hand, he attempted to calm her down slightly.

"Just breathe. In and out," he said in a soothing voice.

Max sat back and crossed his arms. "Madam McLaggen, head of the Auror department and member of the Wizengamot." He couldn't help but chuckle. "Let me tell you, she is one witch you don't want to anger." He looked the young woman up and own, clicking his tongue against his teeth. "I'm Max, by the way."

No toast. Ashlie arched a brow but shrugged. Ah well. "Uhm... how old are you?" she asked the girl standing atop the table. Why was she standing on a table?

Ashlie smiled at the man. "Oh, really?" she asked. With relief, she noticed Aero had returned. Looking quite horror stricken, much to her glee. Tyler seemed to muttering something when Ashlie noticed their hands.

They were holding hands.

AERO TOOK TIME OFF TO GO HOLD HANDS WITH TYLER?!

Wtf. She shook her head. "Well, Max," she said. "I'm Ashlie and now off the clock. Share that Firewhiskey,will you?" She walked out from behind the bar and took a seat next to the man. Sure, he seemed a bit older. But that didn't mean they couldn't share a drink.

"Here ye' kids are." Cook came out and sat down three plates of French Toast, a special one set to the side. That lactose intolerant girl's plate. Not that he caught names. Then, the man lumbered back to the kitchen. He was good at not remembering names. He hardly even spoke, besides.

Aero did as Tyler instructed. Breathed in. Breathed out. There. The end.

"You two, if you're gonna snog, go somewhere else. Not in here. Family pub see. You, on the table. Down. Think about the Sanitation Guidelines! Rugrat," she said, pointedly to Jamie. "You better be being careful there."

She breathed in. Breathed out. Caught Ashlie eyeing their locked hands and blushed. Oops. She noticed. Pulling Tyler with (they were on the clocks now after all) and took place behind the bar.

Nik jumped up when the scary girl walked in on them angrily, "Whoops." He said when he realized that he had leapt up with Francesca still in his lap, which meant she was now sitting on the floor.

"I'm sorry." He said, to both the girl who had walked in and Francesca, he was rarely scared, but for some reason this girl scared him. So he pulled Francesca up to her feet, with a sheepish smile at her, "I think we should go..." He said, indicating to the door leading to the street.

Max tossed down his drink and sat the empty glass on the bar. "I'm one of the owners of Quality Quidditch Supplies. It gives me something to do after retiring from playing the sport." He looked at her and smiled.

"Oh!" said Ashlie, eyes widening. "Quidditch supplies! I'll have to have a look in your shop later, see. My friend just made the Quidditch Team last term and I want to get him a broom. He's really excited about it and I want to get him something special." She beamed to herself, quite proud of her new idea.
