"Thanks," she said, still dripping wet but, not really caring. She had her shoes and robe clutched in her hands and she walked into the house. "I just don't like this feeling of... I don't know... It's not insecurity, it's like... I feel like I don't know anything, even though I actually know more. I don't like not knowing what to do or what is going on. I just want to settle down somewhere and start this life I'm supposed to be having."

Sirius laughed at Marcella's comment and her slap on his arm. He was enjoying what could only be described as a friendly conversation with her. "Do you really think Tonks has a crush on Remus? That would be great, they both need someone in their lives right now if only to take care of each other." Marcella pulled Sirius down the stairs and back into the kitchen.

Tonks opened her mouth to complain once more about his calling her Nymphadora when Remus corrected himself. Grinning widely she replied, 'Oh yes, Sirius will be staying here. The plan is for me to escort the kids there and back by portkey. Got the permit and everything.' She looked at the man, settling himself on the pillows. She leaned to one side, lying across the bottom of the bed, her body curved around his feet, her head resting on her upturned palm.

'To be honest I'm curious,' she continued, thinking for a moment. 'I've never been to Askaban. No need yet.'

"Maybe you should stop thinking so much, at least until after the trip to Azkaban. Then you'll know the whole truth and be in a position to make an informed decision from there. Until then, though, switch that overactive brain of yours off and go take a shower. You stink, Miss Snape." he sneered, waving a hand in front of his nose as if to signal how putrid the stench was.

"I think...." she spoke slowly as she filled the kettle and re-lit the stove. "That they greatly admire and esteem each other. I don't think they've actually aknowledge to themselves that it could be anymore yet but I'm sure somewhere, in the backs of their minds, their subconsciouses are considering it. No-one likes to be alone and those two hardly deserve to suffer loneliness moreso than they already have. I don't think they'd allow it to affect their work either - both are equally professional even if Tonks is slightly clumsy."

Pointing at the cupboard just above his head, she asked if he could remove two cups and saucers. "You know, because I really shouldn't be straining myself and I suppose that includes reaching upward."

Sirius listened to Marcella's words carefully. There was nothing in the world he would like better than someone to share his life with. He looked over at Marcella. She was everything he could want in a soulmate, but once again he was too late. She belonged to Snape body and soul. He saw her motion to the cupboard. "No problem." Sirius reaches up and gets two cups and saucers down. He gets out the tea and puts some in each cup. He then looks over to the clock. It wouldn't be too much longer before Tonks would be taking them to Azkaban Prison. Just the thought of that place made Sirius shudder. He was glad he wasn't going. "So it shouldn't be too much longer before you will be able to see Severus again. I guess your looking forward to the visit?"

*slams head on desk* I was so sure I had responded to this RPG yesterday, grrr!! Sorry.

Remus watched Tonks lay on his bed with some edginess. He tried not to show it but looking at a girl like that brought very dangerous sugestive thoughts. More over with a girl one felt attracted to...

Now, wait a minute. Where did that came from?

But before a blush could creep to Remus' face, Tonks had said something else and distracted him from those thoughts. He did as much as registered Sirius would be staying and nothing else from before. And now tey were backat discussing Azkaban...

Remus chuckled. "And why would a kind, lovely girl like you go to Azkaban for?" he teased, having the slight idea that Tonks wouldn't like to be considered harmless. "I don't think you could be that much of a hazard. Mind, you could beat me to death right now, but even that wouldn't land you at the wizarding prison." He risked this other comment, smirking slightly.

Her lips pursed, an uneasy look came about her face as she poured boiling water from the kettle into the cups and stirred them almost theraputically. "I'm looking forward to it, in a way, but... oh I don't know, I guess it's just my stupid mind making me worry. Thoughts keep going through my head. What if he rejects me and his child? I already know I'm going to end up a single mother and that's fine it's just a part of me thinks I'd rather not know what he thinks than go and find out that he hates me for it. You know what I mean?" she asked, dropping the spoons in the sink, taking a slow sip knowing he probably didn't.

Tonks smirked at Remus' discomfort. Well, she thought, it's been a while since I saw anyone look this uncomfortable. If only Sirius could see this. Perhaps I'll wear a skirt the next time I visit. She giggled slightly at the thought, before looking up to answer the question.

'Well I am an Auror. I figured I'd get to go out there sometime. But sadly not yet.' She pouted briefly before breaking into a grin at his response. 'You have me wrong Remus old boy. I may look sweet and innocent, but you should know me well enough by now.' She grinned, stretching out, her knuckles cracking.

'Beat you to death?' she asked raising an eyebrow and smirked. 'Why ever would I do that? You're far more interesting alive. Of course thats not to say that a little roughing up is a bad thing, but I think you've had more than you're fair share, so its a raincheck I fear.' Tonks reached for her head, feeling slightly dizzy. She laid her head down on the bed, ignoring the awkward angle. It would be time to go soon, she thought. She smiled absently at Remus, twidling with her hair. There was a small pop as she changed it from her usual purple to black. 'Best look the part of responsible adult I guess,' she sighed.

"Sadly?" Remus said with a mock confused expression, expecting Tonks to be joking. At her next words he actually laughed, pushing her limits further. "Well, I very much doubt it, Miss Tonks," she cheeked her while heis mind went though about her finding him interesting. Dangerous would be a better title. "I don't see you like the bad girl --"

He slipped on the last word as he saw her lay her head down. He paled, asking himself if Tonks did actually have an idea -- Holly sorcery, he was thinking like an hormonal child at Hogwarts -- no, not even at Hogwarts he was this bad. He turned his face to the side, blushing furious red. Maybe he was growing desesperate for human contact from so many years... yes, that was probably it. He was pathetic. His eyes lowered and his experssion changed, soon draining of color again. He cleared and waited until she stood, looking at the dark hair.

"I think I like purple better," he said wit a half-smile.

"Thanks," she laughed and pushed him half-heartedly before heading up the stairs toward her room.

When she got there she unlocked her desk and rolled it up to reveal her various bits of parchment and line of various potions on a shelf. Shuffling through them, she found the one she was after, took a quick sip, feeling it work it's way through her, sobering her up, and then, looked back to see if Nick had followed.

He waited in her doorway, one hand in his pocket, the other on the wooden panels. His eyebrows furrowed as she turned and placed back whatever she'd been drinking from. "You're not drugging yourself again, are you?"

Kristi grabbed some clean clothes out of the closet and walked over to the door. "I don't drug myself," she replied, indignantly, handing him the vial. "It'll get rid of the effects of the alcohol. I didn't want to show up at Azkaban in the state I was in and this works faster than just waiting it out."

Walking into the room he closed the door behind him and pouted. "Couldn't you have stayed drunk just a little longer? We could've had some fun..." he sighed, heavily, dropping shoulders as he plonked himself on the bed looking extremely down.

"Yes, I do," she sighed before exiting the room and heading across the hall for her shower. She turned on the water and peeled off her wet clothing, tossing it in a pile in the corner before stepping into the shower. She stood under the stream of water with her face upturned, allowing the wet warmth to cascade over her.

Seeing her walk away, he watched for a few minutes until he could hear the water cascading regularly. He could hear voices further down the hallway but didn't wish to disturb them. Knowing he'd probably have his work cut out for him, trying to prove to her father that he could look after her, he headed off to his room to try and find a decent robe to wear.

After just standing in the water for a few minutes, Kristi washed herself off of all the grass and dirt from the pond and spent quite a bit of time on her hair. By the time she stepped out, her skin was getting wrinkly. She quickly pulled on her clothes and combed out her wet hair before exiting the bathroom and heading back to her room which was now empty. Nick must have gone to change or something.

Pulling a plain black robe from his wardrobe, he speedily undressed and put a shirt and pants on, throwing the robe over the top. Pointing his wand at his head lazily, he watched it in the mirror as it fixed itself and then admired his reflection, before walking back down the hallway, to find Kristi had already emerged from the bathroom.

"It went straight out the window," he said pointing to the open window at the end of the hallway. He smirked and took her aboutthe waist. "I know this means alot to you so I'm trying to make the best effort I can to look the part and behave myself."

'Well now,' said Tonks sitting up, pouting slightly. 'Not the bad girl. I could be the bad girl if I wanted.' She stopped, grinning, and shaking her head. What was she doing.
Tonks stood up, moving over to a mirror, pulling at her hair. 'Well the purple is more me,' she said, gazing speculativly at the mirror. Concentrating, her hair grew into a bob, dark purple streaks appearing through the black. 'There, more me but still adult.' She turned, grinning at the man.
