Bryce nodded and headed for the other staircase. He made up about halfway before the stairs suddenly flattened themselves and he found himself tumbling back down. He got up, cursing. "It's this one," he grumbled, staring at the staircase as if it had just insulted him.

Beth settled herself on the arm of a chair, looking around the Gryffindor common room as the boys went about their task. They must never fix this place up, she thought, glancing about at the old and somewhat faded in places furnishings. Still, she had to admit it felt homely. She awoke from her thoughts as Bryce came tumbling down the stairs. Standing she laughed, moving over to the stairs and taking her wand out. 'Malfoy,' she called up the other stairs, 'Bryce found the girls dorms. Come back down and I'll levitate the two of you up.'
Stepping back, she eyed Bryce. 'So much for the galliant and noble Gryffindor males,' she said, glancing up to check for Orion. 'Seems they're no better than you two in the skirt chasing department.'

Orion tromped back down the stairs in time to hear Beth's remark. "But I bet they aren't nearly as successful," Orion grinned, tucking his wand away and watching Bryce straighten himself up. "Okay... levitate away. Why exactly are you so well-informed on the Gryff common room, Smythe?"

Bryce wasn't sure if he trusted Smythe to do nothing but levitate him up to the girls' dorm but, Orion seemed to be trusting her so he shrugged. "Alright, let's get this overwith," he grumbled.

"I don't see why not since I don't think you'll find anything here," Serenity shrugged, placing various items back on their shelves.

Beth smiled at Bryce's reluctance, taking out her wand. 'Oh,' she said evenly in response to Orion's question, 'I had a friend in Gryffindor a few years back.' She gave her wand a flick, levitating the boys into the air. Glancing ahead, she set off up the stairs, the two floating before her. When she reached the correct door, she opened it, setting the boys down inside. 'There,' she said, slipping her wand back into her robes.

"And besides, you can pull my cloak over your shoulders if you want," Jake offered up. "Thanks Ren, for patching her up, your're pretty good at that stuff......are you planning on being a healer?

"Thanks, Smythe," Bryce said, feeling much better now that he was on the ground and no longer at the mercy of the Head Girl. He stepped into the room and began looking around at the beds for some sign of which was Potter's.

"I don't know, I've never really thought about it. I just picked up a lot of stuff with my Mom last year since I wasn't in school," she replied, shrugging. "What are you two going to do? Quidditch?"

Lia huffed and puffed all the way up to the castle. That Gryffindor boy sure had it coming to him.. She had ruined more than one guy at Hogwarts for being rude to her, and he would be no exception.. whatever his name was, anyways..

Finally deciding to give in and go find Orion and Bryce, and maybe give them a second chance, she strolled into the Great Hall. Of course, when she was actually looking for them, they weren't around. But, Alex was there and Lia had barely said two words to him all week. She took a seat across from him, and crossed her legs. "Alex.. sitting with all your friends, I see." She giggled at him, and poured herself a glass of juice.

Alex dropped his fork with a clatter, looking up to see Lia sitting opposite him. He looked around for a second, confused as to what she could mean. He was eating on his own, as always. Then it hit him what she meant. He blushed slightly, looking down at his dinner, and retrieving his fork. 'Well you know me,' he said quietly, smiling wryly at her, 'popular as ever.' He took a quick bite, swallowing quickly before he replaced his fork gently on the plate, looking up at her. 'And how are you Lia?' he asked, observing her as he spoke.

"Disgusted. I'm disgusted. I love the male population and all, we all know that, but you all are so stupid. I just don't get it. Some Gryffindor boy just told me I wasn't ambitious. Me? Can you believe that? It doesn't matter, I heard he was contagious with some awful 'shrinking' disease anyways...," Lia said, hoping to start that rumor right here with Alex.

Andi took Jake's cloak and wrapped it around her shoulders. "Yes, exactly. I want to play Quidditch professionally. It might be really cool to play for the Hornets with my Mum and Dad. They've always had a pretty big fan following because they're the only married couple in the sport and people thinks that's terribly romantic." She rolled her eyes, but she really adored her parents and their marriage was what she hoped one day to be able to emulate. "Imagine the kind of following they'd have if their daughter was on the team too... of course, Mum keeps threatening to retire, so it might not work out." She cast a glance at Jake, wondering what he'd say.

Orion watched Bryce move into the room. He reached out a hand, grasping Beth's and tugging her into the room a bit. "Thanks, Smythe. Do you mind keeping watch for us? When we figure out the right trunk, we'll grab our trunks and you can cast the charm." He gave her his famous lop-sided grin that Lia always seemed to respond to, not forgetting their conversation from earlier.

Alex listened in silence to Lia's rant, breaking into a smile as she finished with the bit about the shrinking disease. He looked down at his plate, taking his fork up, pausing before it reached his lips. 'I'm sure he just doesn't appreciate your charms Lia.' He smiled before continuing. 'Anyone who did would know never to treat a lady such as yourself like that.' He put the food into his mouth, chewing slowly as he looked at Lia.

Beth gave a very brief smile as Bryce turned to look about the room, leaning in the doorway, her back to the room.
She looked around in surprise as she felt something touch her hand, stumbling slightly as she was pulled into the room.

She gave Orion a quizical look, glancing quickly to Bryce. Pulling her hand from Orion's she straightened up, fixing her robes. 'That's fine, but hurry,' she said, moving back towards the door. 'I'd hate to try and expalin what the three of us were doing in the Gryffindor girls dorms.' She gave Orion a knowing smirk before moving back to the doorway.

"I am a lady, and he just failed to see it. Too bad for him...," Lia said, examining her nails. "Too bad indeed," she said more to herself, thinking about what he missed out on. "Anways.. what were you doing out swimming with us? A bit.. out of character for you, eh?"

'Well,' began Alex, wondering himself why he had ended up going swiming. 'I bumped into Beth and Serenity, and since I had nothing to do, they invited me along.' He shrugged, continuing with his dinner. He had very few illusions about his position in the school, and well realised that he would under normal circumstances never have warranted an invite.

He cast his mind back to the events of the morning. Pushing thoughts about Malfoy from his mind he grinned briefly, looking back up. 'I did get a nice view though,' he said quietly, 'one I havn't had the pleasure of seeing in quite some time.'

"DId you now?" Lia asked, brightly, seeming much more interested in the conversation now. "I'm glad you enjoyed it, " she said wiggling in her seat. " I remember when you used to enjoy it more often," Lia said sighing. Alex had been fun at one point in his life..

'Yes I did,' he said, leaning back slighly so he could take in more of her. He smiled at her wiggling, glad to see the enthuiasm lighting her up. 'Those were fun times,' he said, sighing hapily and closing his eyes with the memory. 'But,' he said, snapping his eyes open and returning to the moment, 'times must change I suppose.' He pushed some food about his plate. 'And who's the lucky boy this year?' he asked, a trace of bitterness creeping into his voice. Lia had been his for a while, but something he did had lost her. He still wasn't sure what it was he had done, all he knew was that there had been a time when he would have done anything for her.

"I don't know," Lia said, shrugging, losing that sparkle in her eye suddenly. "Orion.. Bryce... the usual I guess. Though.. they seem to have other agendas. So, I guess that means no one as of yet." Lia shrugged again, and ran the tips of her finger around the edge of her goblet.

Bryce began looking at the names on the trunks and smiled as he came across one that read, Potter. "Over here," he said, opening it up with ease. "I can't believe she doesn't keep this thing locked..."

Joey looked from her dad, to her brother, back to her dad. She could already tell the way things were going to be.. they were going to keep things from her. She sighed, "I can take a hint. I need to go change anyways. Please try and remember that I'm apart of the family too.. and want to be posted." Joey stood up, gave her daddy a kiss on the cheek, thumped Rusty on the back of the head, and left the Great Hall.

Joey made her way up all the crazy staircases, only getting turned around them once, before making it to her corridor. She paused when she saw someone else coming up it, and was surprised to find it was Andi. Joey stood and waited on her to catch up.

"Eeee... I suppose if I'm going to cancel Quidditch practice, I'd better get up there and do it." She hugged Jake and thanked Serenity profusely before taking off at an easy job. In the corridor outside their common room, Andi spotted Joey. She looked as if she were waiting for Andi, so Andi fell into step beside the smaller girl. They entered the Common Room in silence and headed for the stairs.

"Well... hurry up and find it. Beth... can you perform that charm?" Orion grabbed his cloak from where it was folded neatly on top of the trunk and tossed Bryce his.

Beth moved over to the trunk, pulling her wand out as she went. She glanced down, spotting the pile of underwear. Pointing her wand, she quickly cast the charm, smirking as she replaced it in her robes. This would be interesting, if ionly she got an oppertunity to observe some of it in action.

"I don't know if I'll be much good at practice today.., Andi. Actually, I know I've missed all week, but I'm going to skip out tonight too...," Joey said, coming up the stairs to their dorm. "I'm just going to get undressed and get my robe on and go take a long bath and think.. I think.." she said, puting her hand on the door to the dorm.
