Jill called the waiter over and ordered a moderatly priced bottle of champagne for them. There was no way she could pay for the bottle on her own, but between her and the others surely they could knock it down. "Done. Champagne' is on the way." Jill always had been the more resposible one of these four.

"Wasn't that dreadful?" Jack asked, collapsing down beside Lin. "One of these days I'm going to dye this mop blonde and change my name to Burt." He laughed and threw his arms behind his head, relaxing. But a crash and a few screams from the doorway got Jack back on his toes. His wand was out in seconds - but all went black. All the lamps, candles and torches had been put out. An eeiry silence fell over the hall. Jack reached through the dark for Lin. "Stay close.."

Tristan nodded in agreement about the champagne and laughed as Jack and Lin sat down with them. "Yeah buddy, like that would change......Whoa what was that?" he whispered as the lights went out and everyone started to scream...He reached for his wand and couldnt see anything so keeping it out he reached and pulled Jill towards him and held her so shed be less scared. "Turning to where he assumed Jack was he asked.."what should we do? Theres room under the table for us to hide under for awhile if need be."

Cylindra smiled at Jill for her choice of champagne. Jill always seemed to know what was good to drink. She ran her hand through Jack's hair, "I can't picture you as a blonde, so if you want to go into hiding it'd be the perfect choice."

She jumped when the lights went out unexpected. At first she thought it was a new thing to do, until she heard the screams. She felt Jack's hand brush against her arm, she grabbed his hand and held on tight. "Jack, do you know what's going on? What are we to do?" She tried to keep the terror out of her voice, but knew she didn't succeed very well.

"We should put the girls under the table," Jack said across to Tristan. He didn't dare light his wand yet, not until he had an idea what was going on and the girls were safe. "Jill, this is no time to lecture me on how dirty the floor is. Please - under. Lin," his hand tightening around hers, "you too."

Jill was just about to protest. The floor would be filthy, germy, but a flash of light and a heartwrenching cry of pain from across the room changed her mind. She slid under the table reaching for Lin to cling to. "Please be careful," she whispered quietly to the boys - both known for their reckless behavior.

"Tristan, let's move closer..I'm positive it's some of He-who-must-not-be-named's crew. I saw the mask in a flash from that last spell."

Cylindra was, at first, offended at being told to stay under the able. She wasn't a child after all, but, after hearing that it was death eaters she joined Jill, she knew that she and Jill would need eachother, she also knew that she wasn't strong enough to fight Deatheaters.

"Be careful you two!" She yelled at them and hugged Jill under the table. People all over were screaming. She closed her eyes and clung to Jill. Surpises at parties were all fun, but this was a bit much. She just hoped the two boys would be okay.

Brandon had been looking through one of those shady bookstores where you kept your wand tucked in close to your side as you browsed. He was needing a particular book on potions for Andi and whatever that potion she was working on this week. He finally found it and took it to the counter and paid for it and turned around to walk out but almost promptly ran into another girl. "Oh I'm sorry" he said reaching out and grabbing her arm to steady her. "Are you alright, I was not paying attention to where I was going." he said giving her a smile.

Brandon smiled at her. "You're right I should have been watching where I was going." he gave her a short bow. "What are you staring at?" he asked her rubbing his finger on his nose self consiously. If it had been one of his mates he would have made a smart comment but he didn't know this girl so he didn't want to offend her. Especially since he had already shot his first impression.

Brandon chuckled "Nah I don't usually frequent places like this, but a friend needed a particular book for some kind of potion so I being the gentleman I am, volunteered." he said with a playful smirk. "Oh I'm sorry, I'm Brandon Jameson. And you are...?" He asked holding out his hand.

"It's nice to meet you Anna. I did attend Hogwarts, however I finished last term." He said holding the door open for her and followed after her. "I actually live in a flat in Diagon Alley but needed to come here for a mate. You are a far ways from home, what brings you here?" he asked her as they walked down the street.

"Wow, thats sounds like fun. Hehe i'm only 18 so not that long out of Hogwarts. Easter Break eh? That sounds cool. I help Andi out with her potions during quidditch season and things like that but I work with the ministry so I enjoy that." "Are you hungry, we can grab something to eat theres plenty of shops open?"

"Hmmmm, there's alot of places. How about the first one we come to?" He suggested. They walked and found a nice little cafe and were directed to a booth by the window. He handed her a menu and started to look at his own. He hadn't eaten much of anything all day so he was kind of hungry. "Anything look good to you?" He asked her.

Ginny Weasley poked her head out of her room and eyed the corridor. No one in sight. She exited the room with a suspicious bulge under her robes and hurried down the corridor. Just a few more steps, and she'd be home free.
