Aria got her wand out and rolled her eyes. "I'm an adult Cole, just cause I'm younger doesn't make me a kiddo." and to prove her point she stuck her tongue out. She turned around putting her hand on her hip and came almost face to face with Nicky. Aria jumped back a little bit. "Whoa, way to sneak up on someone there." she said with a laugh putting her wand up.

Nicky is surprised to find himself facing two armed wizards. He also takes his wand out just in case. "You English have a funny way of greeting new teachers. I noticed the girl attacking you and thought you might need some help." Nicky lowers his broom and heads for the ground. He then dismounts. I'm Nicholai Ivanovich Kakaroff, but my friends call me Nicky. I'm the new flying instructor." Nicky kisses Aria on the hand and offer his hand to Cole in friendship.

He smiled broadly leaning back in his chair. Stretching slightly he let the chair tip back onto the floor. ‘Not bad,’ he ruffled his hair before leaning forward again. ‘Not bad at all. Bit wild at times,’ he laughed. ‘You know. The usual.’ The waitress returned with his breakfast, and sighing contentedly, he tucked in. He paused for some tea. ‘So what do you think will be the good news this year?’ He grinned, lifting his cutlery once more. ‘After all, its staff meet time again.’ He took another forkful. ‘My knuts are on Ministry rules of some kind.’

Ana poured another cup of coffee and carefully stirred in cream. She loved tea as well, but coffee was a luxury she seldom got at her sister's house. "Have you been reading the Muggle papers? I think the majority of the Wizarding World have no idea what's going on out there, but my grandfather is a Muggle fanatic and gets six publications a day. There's bad news."

Cole eyed the man before tucking his wand away and putting out a hand. "It's good to meet you, Mister Karkaroff. I'm Professor Edward Coltan. This is Madame Cassaria Wood. I teach Ancient Runes, and my colleague is the groundskeeper. I assure you that she wasn't attacking me. In fact, you've just managed to cut our run a bit short." He didn't want to be rude, but... well, maybe he did want to be a bit rude.

Aria smiled as Nicky kissed her hand. She bowed her head in greeting. "Its nice to meet you Nicky." Aria said. "Yes my name is Cassaria.." she said turning to Cole, "...but I prefer Aria. It's not quite such a mouthful." Aria turned and looked at Cole almost incredulously and raised an eyebrow. "Yes, I'm afraid we were in the middle of running just now. But welcome to Hogwarts." she said giving him a smile. "We'll have to fly sometime."

Nicky smiles at Aria. Her face and mannerisms remind him of his beloved Tatianna. "I would like that very much. Flying is one of my passions. Running you say, is that what you'll were doing? Then I must apologize for interupting you. In my country people don't run unless they have something chasing after them. You will have to tell me more about this sport." Nicky takes Aria by the hand. "That is a lovely name Aria. It suits you. Would you mind terribly showing around the castle? I need to have a word with the headmistress before the staff meeting. Madame Hatterfield isn't it? Nothing urgent though, I just need to touch base with her. I have some unusual requirement where my health is concerned."

BeBe decided that instead of breakfast in Diagon Alley, she'd just hurry on to Hogwarts. The House Elves had probably been itching to make someone something all summer. BeBe caught ride on the Knight Bus from Diagon Alley to Hogsmeade, then walked the rest of the way to school.

BeBe noticed a few of her staff members out on the grounds. Surely she wasn't late already... What would the Headmistress say if she missed the first staff meeting? Quickening her pace, she hurried toward the castle.

Aria just laughed. "Thanks, I've always liked it myself. Yeah I can show you to her office. Though I'm not sure where she is exactly. I havent seen our headmistress yet. Would you rather see the nurse instead? I'm sure they could help you as well?" Aria replied and looked at Cole. "Do you mind? We can finish running or go running again tomorrow if you like."

Cole shook his head impatiently and started to jog in place again. "I don't mind at all, kiddo. Have fun." He jogged back towards the lake, waving over his shoulder to show that there were no hard feelings. Mostly.

He wanted to be moving and even that brief stop made him itch to speed up to make up the time. It was the only time he wasn't haunted by images of his wife. If he could pour every thought into the thumping of his feet on the ground, the steady in and out of his breathing, and the push of his muscles, then he wouldn't have any room to think about her. About the sweep of her hair away from her face. About the way his dark hands looked on her so-fair skin. About... he shook his head and concentrated on his breathing.

Jett sighed drearily as he looked at the finished paperwork on his desk and decided that he could use a break. He glared out his window at the lake, cursing his own decision to take a Muggle recovery, longing to take a quick swim. With a small grunt, he heaved himself out of his chair and swung his crutches in the direction of his fireplace. Throwing in a pinch of Floo powder into the hearth as he stepped inside, Jett said clearly, "The Leaky Cauldron."

After a spell of dizziness and the familiar hot, swirling sensation Jett found himself standing in the fireplace of the Leaky Cauldron. Hobbling on his crutches, having yet to master the art of walking properly with them, Jett made his way slowly to the counter. "I'll have the usual, Tom," Jett said to the bartender.

Looking around for a place to sit while he waited for his food, Jett spotted Nikita in a corner by herself. Biting his lip in concentration, he limped his way to her table and asked, "Mind if I sit with you, Nikita?"

Nicky watches Cole run off. A strange man he thought. It was obvious he was trying to runaway from something and was having a hard time doing it. Nicky then turns his attentions to Aria. He wanted to explain to her why he needed to see the headmistress, but he felt like he didn't know her well enough to let her in on his confidences. "Thank you, but I must speak to the headmistress first. I appreciate your offer of taking me to the nurse's office, but I am perfectly capable of brewing the potions I need. I just need to inform the headmistress of my illness that's all. Seeing as you are the groundskeeper, I wouldn't mind you showing me around your lovely grounds. Of course that is after you show me to my quarters. I don't like leaving my broom just sitting around the grounds." Nicky goes over and removes his suitcase from his broom and then picks them up.

It was no use. She couldn't sleep. She sat up, breathing a sigh, and got up. She dressed, making sure all her things were in place and left the room. The staff room was still empty, and she made herself some coffee. She was sitting for only a few minutes when Bebe came in. 'Hey,' she smiled warmly, 'you're back.'

'Yes,' she nodded thinking. 'Oh, and no,' he shook his head, his expression clearly showing that reading muggle papers wasn't his taste. 'My parents were telling me. They're a bit nervous.' He took some more food. 'They worry all the time that we'll be caught somehow.

As her food arrived to her table, Nikita noticed two Professors talking. Wondering why Professor Granger and Professor Solway were together, she looked around the Leaky Cauldron for something that would allow her to overhear them. Smiling to herself, she moved to a closer table that was out of view and began to eat her breakfast slowly. Casually stretching a bit, Nikita began to actively try to overhear their conversation.

Wei smiled, her eyes closing. 'No,' she replied taking a sip of her coffee. 'It won't be for an hour or more. You're one of the first.' It surprised her somewhat. Bebe had never struck her as someone who was ever early.

"Oh, I seriously doubt we'll be caught. Afterall, think of all the wardings and spells in place to prevent that, as well as the brilliant minds trying to hide us. Then again... it's a lot easier to hide something from someone who doesn't know it is there, as opposed to hiding something from someone who is actively looking for something." She knew she was talking to much, and she buried her face in her cup.

He smiled, nodding as she spoke. Somewhere in the middle he lost her. Smiling wider, he replied. 'Yes of course.' He picked up some egg. 'Still,' he sighed, putting it in his mouth and chewing thoughtfully. That bought him some time. Noiw, something about hiding, and people knowing. He swallowed his egg, smiled and took some more. Of course, he nodded silently. That it was easier to hide if muggles weren't looking.

I don't want to be late for the staff meeting, and I'm finished with my breakfast." She rose and tossed a few sickles on the table, swishing her robes into place around her.

'Oh,' he was somewhat deflated. 'Well I guess I'll follow you after.' He indicated his food with his knife and fork. He smiled, turning enough to survey her retreating form. Not bad. He grinned, turning back to his food, and sighing contentedly. He was feeling much better now he had some food. He'd woken up in the best way possible, next to a beautiful woman, and today he went back to Hogwart's.

He finished up, depositing his money on the table. Maybe Aria would be back. He smirked. Another year, another chance to woo the lovely young groundskeeper. She was lovely, and all that sport meant she was quite the looker. He stepped out into the street picking up a few final supplies before flooing to Hogwart's. With his packages deposited in his rooms, he moved to the staff room.

'Good day ladies,' he said stepping into the room, and over behind the two women. Putting a hand on either of their shoulders he leaned down giving each a big smile. Wei got an aditional wink. After all, she was probably still reeling from the divorce. A friendly wink could do wonders. After all, she wasn't too bad looking. He could remember last years staff party. She'd actually looked good then.

He broke from the thoughts before he started staring, and moved off to get some coffee from the pot.

Ivan entered the hospital wing and began putting freshly cleaned sheets and pillowcases on the beds and pillows. He fluffed the pillows as he placed them gently on each bed, straightening them perfectly. He did this to all of the beds, then looked at his watch. He could start heading down to the staff room now. He may be the first one there, but he jsut assumed they all would be meeting there around midday like they usually did. So Ivan found his way downstairs to the staff room.
