Eeep sorry for not posting for Ashlie, Nabsy

Ashlie glanced over to see that the boy had returned to the bar. She smiled and gave him an acknowledging wave. Suddenly she wanted to be away from this whole area. It was slowly dawning on her that her whole life was a big flaw, a big lie. It was all fake and so... so... wrong.

Where was Aero? She needed to hurry and get over here so Ashlie could run off.

"What?" Fatima questioned, arriving from her day dream.

"Oh," she said running a hand through her light brown hair. "No, no I haven't."

Indeed, she hadn't bought any new hats. She had suddenly developed a new hobby. Acting. It was something she didn't expect but it helped her with her shyness. Fatima figured there hadn't been much improvement in her personality but Rome wasn't built in a day.

'I've been taking acting lessons," she spurted out loudly before she got a chance to regret any decisions.

So she cleared her throat...and waited. Hopefully, Elena won't be too Elena and will resist the urge to mock.

Bucky suddenly felt all eyes on her. She frowned and placed Rosemary on the ground.

"What?" She asked in a bad mood. "What'cha starin' at me fo'?"

Jamie sighed at the others who had turned to look at Bucky and he turned around so that his small body acted as a wall (a pitifully small wall mind) and stood before her, nuding her a few more feet over.

"Bucky, we have to talk," he said finally. They needed to get this big talk out of the way.

Nik looked up to see the girl who had reprimanded him earlier waving to him and the thought crossed his mind that the English were probably mad. But he didn't show it, instead he returned her wave with a small hesitant smile.

Celestina rubbed her forehead and raised an inquiring eyebrow at Jamie. She wasn't comprehending fully, so the obvious thing to do was to clear things up, no?

"Jamie," she said softly. "We are talking, dear," and with this she patted his curly head.

Well, that was easy.

Elena raised her eyebrows in surprise. This was certainly not the response she had expected from Fatima.

"Really?" she asked, hoping she didn't sound too skeptical. If acting would help Fatima be a little more outgoing then there was nothing wrong with that. Elena had been trying for years to get her friend to come out of her shell a little but hadn't had much success.

Tyler couldn't help but find Aero's sudden speech impediment rather endearing. And now he had no choice but to follow her when she led him further into the store toward the higher more private shelves.

He chanced a look at Mrs. Blotts, hoping she wouldn't be too upset and fortunately for him she looked anything but angry. It wasn't good to anger the elderly.

Jen tried to mask her amusement at Bucky's ghetto-ness. When the girl patted Jamie on the head, almost like a puppy, she couldn't help but giggle.

"It's alright Bucky. Jamie can be a little slow sometimes," she commented before she could stop herself.

Jamie groaned. Bucky wasn't getting it and apparently, Jenzy was listening. Jenzy was a good friend of his, but he honestly didn't want them to listen to this. He took her wrist again and began to pull her even further away, almost to the end of the bar. "I'm serious," he said. "We need to have a Talk. A Big Talk."

And he really was serious. There was something in his eyes, the lack of the giggle and laughter that made his almost twelve year old face seem like he was much older. He even brushed his hair from his eyes to attempt to stare his friend down (it failed), and the hair fell back into them not even a moment after.

Aero smiled softly at Tyler, backing him to a shelf. It wasn't that she fully realized she had. Only that she got caught up in the moment. "So... what was that?" she asked quietly, chuckling. She certainly didn't mind it.

Fatima nearly slumped down in her seat but decided that this was a good time to put what she had learned into she us. Taking a deep breath she sat tall and straight and looked Elena in the eye.

"Yes," she said clearly. "Really. And--I like it. It's fun and I've met remarkable new people. None which get along with me but they're--remarkable nonetheless."

She tapped the table with one of her index fingers nervously. She was feeling anxious now and for some reason she was trying to fight the urge to let words spill out of her.

"What do you have to do to get some service around here?" She exclamed aggravated, her eyes scanning the crowd. "Get on the table and dance for your breakfast?"

Jamie groaned which immediately won Celestina's attention. She sighed quickly realizing that he was serious. He wanted to talk. Yet again. He always wanted to talk and it never did solve anything. Jamie was Jamie and Bucky was Bucky. He was popular and likeable and she was...none of the above.

"Alright fine," she said annoyed, not in a mood for a talk. "Whatever you say."

Jacques looked around the leaky cauldron and spotted a familiar face behind the bar. He hadn't seen Ashlie in a long time. Striding over quickly, he deposited himself on the nearest barstool and smiled at her.

" 'Alo Ashlie - how are you?"

"We never had our first talk," he said, letting go of her wrist. He bit his lip, trying to figure out how to bring it up. "I've noticed... that..." He fell quiet for a moment. Would she be mad at him if he said it? Would she give him a Look and walk away?

He didn't want to lose Bucky and yet he was always scared that she was going to walk away. She didn't seem to like Maddi, she always gave her Looks and made Faces when they were together.

Pity, Jamie didn't yet understand jealousy.

"Jacques," she greeted him, before turning to smile at him. If there wasn't a counter in the way, she'd have jumped up and hugged him. So she was reduced to merely a wide grin and a breathless "Hey!"

"We didn't?" Bucky asked, trying to remember if they did or didn't.

She thought they had but it makes sense that they didn't. If they had the talk they wouldn't be having one right now to begin with, right? It's possible. After several seconds of waiting for Jamie to finish his sentence, Bucky rubbed her neck and coughed softly.

"Um, you've noticed...what?"

Celestina didn't know what Jamie wanted to talk about exactly but she had an idea. It probably had to do with Maddie and all his little fan club. Bucky didn't like them one bit and maybe perhaps, it was a little all too obvious.

"I... I just wanted to say..." He closed his eyes. "You'll be staying with me this summer, and so will Jenzy. And Maddi. I don't think you like her. Do you?"

"I do," Ashlie nodded sheepishly. "But... during the summer, Aero needs extra help and I need extra money, what with Jamie and his hare- friends staying with us. So.... I take a few shifts here. It lets Jamie run round Diagon Alley though and I can still be able to watch him. She turned to point to the group of girls and found Jamie several feet away. Alone with Beacky. Bucky...? Something like that. She'd learn.

Her cheeks flushed. Alone. With a girl. Merlin.

Jacques looked over at that Jamie, who seemed to be deep in conversation with that bucky girl. He wasn't fond of him in the least, and it was a shame that Jamie was involved with Ashlie, who Jacques thought was brilliant.

Turning back to Ashlie he spoke again. " Well, if you are a bartender then i would like a butterbeer please" he said, smiling at her.

Elena was pleasantly surprised by Fatima's sudden boldness. Perhaps this acting thing could finish what Elena had been trying to achieve for quite some time.

"Well that's good. You'll have to let me know when you're the star of a major production. That way I can be one of those annoying people that says 'I knew her before she was famous!'" Elena said with a grin. Oddly enough that wasn't sarcasm speaking.

At the mention of dancing on tables, Elena became very interested in a scuff on the surface of the table.

"Tables aren't really my style," she muttered. Now bars, that's another story. she thought.

Tyler could feel the narrow book spines against his back. It was not everyday that he was cornered by an attractive woman in a bookstore. Now that Aero was taking the lead though, it certainly made things more interesting.

"I'm not sure I remember," he said with an expression of mock puzzlement. "Maybe you'd better remind me."

Astoria had been basically staring off into space when she finally saw a familiar face walk into the tavern. It was about time someone she actually could speak to walked into the place. She got a sudden flame of anger when the bartender was obviously trying to flirt with Jacques. She snorted as she walked over to the bar and covered Jacques' eyes with her hands.

"Take a guess who this is."

Astoria had this thing where she wasn't the center of attention around her friends. If they were paying attention to someone she didn't know, she always managed to steal the spotlight back from the other person that was present.

Francesca had gotten bored with the little group of girls and the guy she was around. They weren't too interesting to her. The girls seemed way too fangirly over the guy who wasn't even attractive in her opinion. She instead went over to the other boy in the room. (ooc: nik) She took a seat next to him and sighed.

"These people are no fun. Those girls care about that guy who isn't even cute. I'm Francesca by the way."

She held out her hand for the boy to shake. It wasn't a normal practice of the high class aristocracy to hold out your hand to shake another, but she wasn't a member of that aristocracy. She was just unfortunately related to it.

Ashlie feined a smile for Jacques sake. Automaticly, she had dislike for the girl. Whether it was the fact that she walked right up to him and tried to whisk away his attention or it was the way Jacques smiled at her, but it made Ashlie's insides burn in a very unpleasent way. However, she, unfortunately, was the mature one and had to abide by the "Rules".

"Hullo there," Ashlie said, flawlessly in her fake "I-have-to-be-nice-to-you-so-I-don't-get-fired" voice.

Aero arched an eyebrow, testing his mock puzzlement. She placed a finger to his lips gently, smirking. "I'm not sure if I've such abilities," she said coyly, batting her lashes. Of course, she was the one who had cornered him.

Jacques scoffed. "I would have known it was you even if you did not speak" he bluffed. He watched as the two girls greeted each other, rather icily. Ah well.. he thought to himself. They didn't need to be friends with each other anyway, as long as they both remained his friend.

He watched interestedly as Astoria fanned herself. It certainly was rather warm in the bar, and Jacques was glad he'd decided to wear a short sleeved shirt.

"Would you like a drink Astoria - on me of course"

Ashlie nodded at the girl. “Yes… yes I was,” she said with a nod. She herself, was quite surprised that anyone remembered, especially when she didn’t remember the girl. Her cheeks flushed lightly at said memory, or lack thereof.

“You and Jacques are close friends?” she asked, carefully concealing the surprise in her voice quite well. Her last year, she’d not seen them together. Apparently, one year could change a lot. “I met him my Seventh Term,” she said, smiling at him. “He helped me during a few of my… bad times.”

There was no other word for it. “Bad times” was the best she could come up with. Which was utterly lame.
