Tonks laughed out loud at the memories. 'Shocking those two with a few drinks in them. The things they said and did.' She shook her head still grinning. 'Sounds like a plan Harry,' she knocked some water up at him. 'Got to teach you how to drink like a man. Can't leave it to Sirius can we?' She snorted, disentangling herself from Sunny. 'You've met Sunny have you Harry?' A glance between the two informed her that they hadn't and she rolled her eyes, clearing her throat properly. 'Harry Sunny,' she indicated each. 'Sunny Harry.' Beaming, she splashed back into the water.

"Pleasure," Sunny nodded offering his hand. He took note of the pathetic line Potter had used on his Tonks and grinned. Maybe Potter wasn't as dumb as Sunny thought.. "And as far as drinking goes, you've come to the right place," he said indicating to TOnks as she splashed back into the water. "She's a fish."

'Hey,' Tonks spluttered, splashing with her feet in Sunny's direction. 'I am not a fish!' She splashed some more. 'How could you tell Harry something like that. Merlin knows what he'll think now.' She grinned, giving Harry a wink. 'He's not that far behind me himself,' she laughed, poking at Sunny's legs trying to kock him into the water.

The intimacy between the two of them was unmistakable, and Harry wished he could be a bit happier for his old friend. Afterall, everyone deserved love and someone to hold onto. Still, it reminded Harry of his own lonliness and he stepped back from their splashing. "Erm... I have to finish up with the brooms. As long as you're in good hands and in no danger of drowning, I'll leave you two. Perhaps we can get that drink before the students come."

Sunny cannon balled Tonks before rushing out with her in his arms. "The students come back tonight? Or tomorrow? Or something. Let's go now." Sunny dropped Tonks to her feet and stopped Potter with his hand. "It'll be something to tell my old my friends I had a drink or two Harry Potter. I'll buy, too." Sunny flicked his wand at the three of them, showing his skill in CHarms and cleaned the lot of them with the single wave. "What do you say?"

Tonks squeeled as Sunny rushed her from the water. With her breath back, she nodded, and turning summond her shoes from where she'd left them. 'Alright then Harry. Prepare yourself now. Few deep breaths. Don't worry, we can levitate you back if it comes to it.' She grinned, witing for the other two.

Harry nodded shortly. He assumed that Tonks and Sunny had enough good manners to not grope each other publically, and he was tired of the grounds already. "Yeah, I'm game. A free drink is the best kind." He smiled again, the feeling foreign to his jaw.

"Then I'll lead the way." This was perfect for Sunny. He hadn't officially been out in so long. And he had a good excuse to get flat out drunk at that. "I wouldn't underestimate, Potter, dear. He's been around the block," Sunny's attempt at small talk as he led the group the gates of Hogwarts.

'Can't help it,' Tonks responded, draping knocking into Harry slightly with her shoulder. 'Still remember you in your fifth year Harry,' she grinned.

"Oh yes? That's how I remember you too. Breaking into my uncle's house and nearly scaring me to death, and then all of us at Grimmauld Place..." He trailed off. That had been a hard year. He'd thought he was crazy for part of it, and then the bit where Sirius disappeared and... "But I'm not 15, and I can hold my drink. Well, I'm not 15. That part is true."

ooc: We've conferred and are not sure about the post-OotP-ness of this plot vs. the alernate universe theory and... *grin* I blame Fona. For everything.

"Tonks can help you out there. She knows a few tricks as far as holding drinks," he said, hurrying ahead so he could miss the blows from her. "See you lot outside the Pub." Sunny blew Tonks a kiss, feeling better than he had in days and with a pop was gone to Hogsmeade.

'No certainly not 15 anymore,' she smiled, pulling back to look him over. She stopped to aim a punch at Sunny but he was gone. 'I swear, he gives such a bad impression of me.' She rolled her eyes grinning.

Harry was embarrassed by her attention, but he lifted his chin and stood for it regardless. "I already had a bad impression of you, Tonks," Harry grinned sheepishly and apparated away before she could hit him or strike back at him in any way.

Two pops behind Sunny told him they had arrived. "Good. Come on," Sunny took up Tonk's arm and walked along. Hopefully with his arm he'd be able to keep her up. She really was quite the clutz at times. Not that Sunny minded. "We should get the upstairs place if it's open. TOo nice of a night to sit in with all the drunkards. Plus, I was chatting with that Sinistra woman and she said something about meteor showers tonight. She's odd though, so not sure I'd put much on her word." Taking matters into his own hand, Sunny led the lovely woman on his arm and the infamous Potter boy into the pub and rented out the top.

At the top of the pub was a old and rickety, but nice, open porch. THe house elf, Bubbles, delievered orders to people that sat up there and Sunny ordered a round for all. "Not too close to the edge, love," Sunny said, playfully to Tonks as they sat next to the railings. "Potter. Tell me something I didn't already know about you."

Harry finished his firewhiskey in a gulp and set it down on the railing. "Erm... plastic surgery doesn't work for magical scars?" He waited a moment to see if it elicited a chuckle before adding, "I have no clue what you already know about me. If you read Witch Weekly, most everythign you know about me is a lie. If you read the Quidditch magazines, most of what you read is true but decorative. If you read the Daily Prophet, you think I'm starkers and wonder why they let me roam about the place."

"I don't read that garbage," Sunny informed him as chugged down one himself. "I don't read at all. And to get another thing straight from earlier.. I'm not a Professor at the school. Dumbledore said something about subbing for the sick Professors or whatever.. but this ole boy sees it as a well deserved vacation." Sunny gave a bag of money to the House Elf to keep the drinks coming before turning back. "Heard about your QUidditch stuff though. Impressive, really. Why are you here of all places?"

"Well, you know... the Dark Lord wants you dead, you go somewhere safe. I was hoping he'd forgotten about me, but Dumbledore wants me to lay low and teach other people to fly. At least I get to spend all day on the pitch, which is about par for the course. I'll be glad when it all blows over and I can go back to my life. If I have one left by then." Harry's glass hit the railing a bit harder than he intended.

Tonks let the boys talk amoung themselves and taking her drink, the first had vanished already, she lay down on the cold stone of the bench to look up at the sky. There was always the cloud shapes to contemplate. It kept her mind of the flash of anger she felt when Harry talked about the Dark Lord.

"Hogwarts is a safe place, you think then?" Sunny asked raising his eyebrows, his expression clearly showing skeptism. He took it a bit slower on the drinking as he listened in.

What did Fon do? *tickles her* Basically everything that happened in OotP happened except for Sirius dying. I'm guessing the alternate universe was when he went through the veil? Wherever he was, that's up to Terry.

For a second she hoped the guard would blast Sirius to smithereens. She hated how clingy he was. Like he was looking for redemption, release from his burden of guilty, via her. She didn't want that pressure or that responsibility. His hold shocked her and she jolted slightly. It reminded her of when her father had grabbed her .... She shuddered involuntarily.

"I cant give you forgiveness Sirius." she spoke quietly, glassy-eyed, grateful he'd let her go. Her pupils penetrated his; it was the first time she'd really looked at him since the events. He was so desparate. Still, it remained, however meaningful or unmeaningful, that she had said can't, not won't.

Eyes falling to the ground, she folded her arms, closing her outter robe and continued on and up to the castle, shifting as the minder tried to wrap an consoling arm around her. She didn't want to be touched, by anyone.

Harry looked at Sunny keenly. What did it matter to him if Hogwarts was safe or not? Surely the man wasn't concerned with Harry's own safety. "Safest place in Great Britain at least," he finally shrugged and poured himself a new glass. "Dumbledore's there, afterall. What could be safer than with Dumbledore?"

'Long as Dumbledore is around,' Tonks murmured sighing and sitting up. She finished her drink reaching to take the bottle and poured another. 'Still, theres ways around everything. It'll be better when everyone gets back. Safety in numbers.' She raised her glass to teh two men and took a sip.

Sunny knew better. To him.. Azkaban was the safest place. Once you got past the food.. and the horrible weather that seemed to loom there.. and the dementors, it wasn't half bad. Dumbledore did make him feel somewhat safe though. He had to give them that. "Ever been to Azkaban? Pretty safe place, if you ask me."

OOC: I hold with the theory correct or not that Sirius didn't die when he went through the veil. Instead he found himself trapped in the wizard's version of heaven.

Sirius watches Marcella walk back to the castle. He still feels empty inside. Sirius had hoped talking to Marcella would relieve some of the guilt he's feeling, but she could not give him what he needs most her love and compassion. Alone once again, Sirius decides to go and drown his sorrow at the Hog's Head. There alway seems to be fewer people there than at the Three Broomsticks, and the fewer people he has to deal with the better. Sirius decides to walk rather than aparate. He has no where to be, so speed is not a priority.
