Great! All those years in Azkaban have obviously affected Sirius's poker face. He wonders how he's going to get out of this sticky situation without spilling the beans. "Err...Well, the house doesn't have one photo out on display, so I was just curious whose photo that is," he says.

"I'm not sure," Kristi said; if he wasn't going to be forthcoming with his answers, she didn't see why she should be. "If it's all the same to you, I'd like to just put this away before I take Tonks up on her offer of hot chocolate."

Tonks could feel the tension between the two. What was this about then? she wondered.
She looked awkward for a moment,before turning to face Sirius.
'Right so,' she said, 'Kristi for hot chocie. Sirius?'

Sneaking up behind Tonks, Nick shot a summoning charm over her shoulder and the picture instantaneously flew into his hands. Giving a sly wink at Kristi, he scowled at Sirius, "If Miss Snape wishes you not to see it, then I'm afraid you're going to have to respect her wishes. It is, after all, technically her house in the absence of Severus."

Pocketing the picture frame, without looking at it, he stood in the middle of the group, eyed each of them individually and the narrowed his eyes, "Where's Marce? I mean, if you lot woke me up then surely she cant still be asleep. Have any of you seen her?"

The softness of the pillow beneath her head was so peaceful, comforting. It was almost like it was beckoning her closer. Fidgeting, shifting as one does in ones sleep, she turned and both her mouth and nose became trapped against the material of the pillowcase.

'I was thinking someone should just pop their head in, you know, just for a sec', check she's ok,' said Tonks uncomfortably. 'She'll be awake after all this racket anyway.'

Kristi paled when the pciture loosed itself from her arms but, she breathed a sigh of relief as Nick simply tucked it away. She felt like turning back around and sticking her tongue out but, curbed her instinct as she thought about what Snape would have to say about such childish behavior. Instead she, turned and smiled. "Thank you for your concern, Mr. Black, I'm sure Snape would be most appreciative," she said before stepping toward Nick and flashing him a grateful look.

Then, in response to Tonks' question, "We left her in her room. I haven't seen her since."

"That was the last time I saw her too." added Nick, putting a protective arm around Kristi, holding onto her shoulder. "That only leaves....you" he snarled, eyeing Sirius. "What have you done to her, Black?"

'Eh right then,' said Tonks, moving carefully towards the stairs. 'I'm just gonna pop up and check on her then.' Turning, Tonks made her way up to Marcella's room. She knocked gently, and opened the door, peering into the room. It was empty.

'She's not here,' called Tonks down the stairs.

Sirius was relieved Nick had gotten the picture away from Kristi. Hopefully she would put it away in a draw and forget about it. "I haven't done a thing to Marcella," he says, "the last time I say her she was asleep on a table in the attic. I assume she had sent a letter via the owl post and had fallen asleep there. I can take you to her if you like." Hearing Tonks comments from upstairs, he yell at her to look in the attic.

"Why would she be up in the attic when Tonks saw her go to bed?" he asked, eyes narrowed. He shouted up to Tonks, "Hold on a second, we're coming with you." He grabbed Sirius by the scruff of the back of his coat and took Kristi's hand, leading them all up the stairs. When they reached the landing, he shoved Sirius forwarded and demanded, "Go on then, open the attic door and prove to us that you've done nothing!"

Sirius didn't care in the least for Nick's behavior. The boy needed to be taught some manners, and he was just the person to do it. But now was not the time, Marcella could be in trouble, and at the moment she was top priority. At Nick's insistance, Sirius opened the door, and the group went into the attic. "The last time I saw her she was over there near the corner." He takes out his wand and says lumos providing some more light to the dimmly lite attic. Nick and Kristie ran over to the table with Sirius and Tonks following behind them. They find Marcella asleep at the table. The comforter still wrapped securely around her. Her head buried in the pillow. "See, I told you she was in the attic."

"Oh...my" he breathed, squinting at her completely still body. "...God. Move you idiot!" he bellowed, charging forward, giving Sirius an almight shove so that he fell over.

With very little care at all, Nick grabbed Marcella's head, yanked it back and put his ear to her nose. Deathly pale, he scrapped the hair back from her face and turned to the others, "She's not breathing."

"You absolute imbusile! What kind of person tries to suffocate a young girl!" Nick ranted at Black, still holding the unbreathing girls head, focusing on what he shouldn't have been.

Realising his mistake he lifted her, noting how light she felt and laid her on the floor, his hands shaking in rage. He stood back from her body, face contorted, feeling lost unable to help his own flesh and blood.

"Someone help her..." he mouthed quietly, his voice dangerously high.

Kristi was dragged up to the attic, though she was more than willing. When they arrived, Nick had another go at Sirius instead of trying to help Marcella but, he finally came to his senses. Kristi didn't know what to do so she just pushed Black forward. "I don't know what to do," she said. "You're in charge. DO something."

Tonks stepped over to Marcella's still body and knelt down. Placing her fingers to her neck, she felt for a pulse. There was a faint, thready pulse, but she wasn't breathing.
Looking up she spotted Kristi. 'Did Severus have any potions here? Something to wake someone up?'
'Anyone know that muggle kissing thing? She's still alive. We need to get her breathing, then we can try to wake her up.'

Kristi would have laughed at the question if the situation hadn't been so serious. "Yeah, I can go get something," she said before turning and running back down the stairs and into her room.

Sirius looks at Marcella's pale skin and decides they don't have time for Kristi to fetch a potion. He orders Nick to help him get Marcella flat on the floor and tells Tonks to watch what he is doing. Sirius tilts Marcella's head back and listens for breathing. Since she is not breathing normally, he proceeds to pinch her nose, cover her mouth with his, and breath hard until her chest rises. "Now I want you to do that Tonks while I massage her chest," he says. Sirius proceeds to perform CPR on Marcella while Nick watches. After a few minutes Marcella starts coughing and is able to sit up. Nick comes over and comforts his sister. Sirius and Tonks give them a few minutes alone.

'Ere,' she said, pulling Sirius to one side. 'You see Moody anywhere? Only I couldn't find him.'

The last time I saw him he was patrolling the grounds. You don't think he could be responsible for what happened to Marcella, do you?

'No,' said Tonks, taken aback by the suggestion. 'I just thought it was odd he hasn't checked in is all.' She turned back to face Marcella, glancing at Sirius from the corners of her eye, an odd expression on her face.

Sirius agrees with her. It is strange that Moody hasn't check in. With a the commotion going on, Sirius is surprised Moody hasn't shown up in the attic to check on things. "Maybe we should go and look for him," Sirius suggests to Tonks. "I have an uneasy feeling. I don't like what's going on right now."

By the time Kristi had come back up with her bag of potions, Marcella was sat up with Nick by her side while Tonk and Black were off in a corner. She felt rather superfluous standing there but, wasn't sure what she should do.

'Ok, I'll meet you downstairs. I'll just ask Kristi to keep the others inside. She seems capable.'

Leaving Sirius, Tonks headed over to Kristi. 'Sirius and I are just gonna go check in with Moody,' she said once she'd reached her. 'Can you just get Marcella settled, and make sure everybody stays inside?'

"Yeah, I think I can handle that," she said, unable to supress the slight sarcasm in her voice as she cast a glance at Black, glad he would be away from them for at least a little while.

After watching them move toward the door, Kristi approached Nick and Marcella. "How is she?" she asked Nick.

Tonks headed down the stairs to meet Sirius. She grabbed her cloak as she passed her bedroom, remembering the cold of earlier.
She walked up to Sirius at the door, fastening her cloak, and almost tripping over a table as she went.

Sirius catches Tonks before she hits the ground. "You know you've got to learn to be more careful. One day your really going to hurt yourself," he says with a smile on his face. He tries very hard to make light of the situation, but he doesn't like it that Moody hasn't checked in by now. Voldemort's death eaters are everywhere, but Sirius didn't expect them to find their hiding place so quickly. Could there be a spy among their charges? He wouldn't put it past Nicholas. Bellatrix is after all Voldemort's right hand man. Could she have convinced her son to spy for her? Tonks opens the door and let the cold night air in. Sirius wraps his cloak around him and proceeds to follow her into the night.
