Feeling his back thud against the wall, Nick was about to get up and retaliate when a shooting pain had him fall back down, in agony. Cursing in multiple languages, he points at Black and snorts, "You should keep a hold on your tongue. You shouldn't bark on about things which you know nothing about."

He felt Kristi's hand on the back of his head and shook it off. "Don't smother me, I'll live."

Tonks then started fussing. "Look, I'm fine." he said, shoving both women from him. "Stop nagging, I'll be fine. I just need to sit for a bit. And throw me another bottle of whisky...it'll ease the pain..." he glared at Black and smirked, leaning against the wall.

"Anybody would love Nimphadora so I don't think that would be a problem," Remus said smiling and yet not showing any hidden meaning behind that. His tone was almost fatherly-like... he couldn't find it in his mind that Tonks would be someone to need any further loving that she already had.

Remus blinked and slightly titled his head. "I... was never told." He frowned. "A visit to Azkaban, that's really risky. I know that you want to tell Snape- Severus about the baby but -" he stopped, lost of words.

So Dumbledore knows? He honestly didn't understand how Dumbledore woiuld approve, or how could he completely forget like this...

Before he could add anything to it, Marcela had pushed him down and took care of him as if he was one year old. Maybe practicing, Remus considered, mentally joking about the possibility that Marcella would want to put him on dippers. He unwardly smiled.

"So," he started again from his possition on the bed, "did Sirius behave while I was gone?" he asked trying to change the subject. He still had many doubts about that visit to Azkaban, but it was better to speak them with Sirius rather than Marcella. Besides, if they had already promised a visit to Azkaban, Remus couldn't be an obstacle to Marcella and Krsti's happiness. A part of him wondered if Kristi did even know.

The sound of crystal smashing interrupted their conversation though. Remus' eyes showed fear in his face. What was happening? he pleaded with his eyes but the only thing he could ask for was for Marcella to check; he could do nothing in his state. Bugger. He felt so useless as it was, and that painful reality showed in his face where words were futile.

OOC - So I'm going to post Nick first, then Marcella will respond to Lupin first, then Kristi, then Sirius. Boy, is this mightly confusing. I'm afraid you've all left N & T in a precarious position.

He watched, longingly, as Kristi left and cursed aloud several times before turning away as Black left. "I'm such a bastar....it doesn't matter what I am. Christ, how could I have done this?"

He doesn't object to Tonks' offer and takes the glass from her willingly. However, that did not stop him from knocking it back far faster than was advisable.

The drink instantly going to his head, he found it eased the pain in his chest, along the way, soothing the burn of guilt which he'd previously felt at making Kristi obviously so upset. Reaching forward, he caught Tonks' hand and ran his thumb over it. "Almost makes you wish we could be back in that pantry, doesn't it?"

"Yes, Tonks is a lovely woman..." she replied a bit concerned at the platonic way in which he'd responded. As much as she knew Tonks very little, she'd hate for her to invest her heart in Remus only to find that he could never feel the same.

"A little risky is probably sugar coating it....it's extremely risky but what other choice do we have? I'm not telling him that he's going to be a father for the second time, in a letter. Besides, imagine if Voldemort infiltrated it. It'd give him even more license to come and kill me. No, I miss Severus, I want to see him..." she mumbled quietly toward the end, almost convincing herself that what she'd said was true, which was baffling because it should be true. Could she be forgetting him? She shook that traitorous thought from her mind. She was carrying his child, if not for the pair of them, she needed to think positive for the child who'd most likely pick up on any negative thoughts she may have.

She fluffed his pillow for the second time and faffed over him, trying to distract herself. So busy trying to distract her mind, she almost missed what he was saying when he spoke.

"Behave? Yes, rather amicably actually. It might interest you to know that before you became the wounded soldier, I was holed up in bed for a while. And, believe it or not, Sirius was my would-be nurse...."

Kristi appeared before she could finish her sentence. So preoccupied, it didn't register with Marcella that something was wrong until Kristi spoke. "Oh, we're going to see Snape by the way, tommorow at three."

Her brow furrowed, "Something wrong?" her mind did a mental count as Sirius stood on the landing behind Kristi. It could only mean Nick. Sighing, she excused herself and eyed Black. "Irrational? I'd bet it's probably six of one and half a dozen of the other. Don't pass the blame solely onto him. He's a sensitive soul, disruption makes him like this. You should know best of all, Sirius, surely Dumbledore would have made you well aware of the boys past?"

Feeling as if she were the elected heroine, she lead the way down the stairs. "I sincerely doubt I can do anything. You're far better off letting him do what he wants, let the anger run its full course and eventually, it'll quell."

"Aside from some cuts on his hand, I think he's fine but, he's bumped his head again and I'd like to look at it but, he won't let me near enough to do anything," she sighed. "We weren't talking about anything at all about his past when he flipped out. He was just acting silly with the salt and pepper shakers, knocked them over, and said something about throwing salt over my should or it'd be bad luck... Although we did talk a bit and he mentioned some stuff last night about his past..."

She looked down at Marcella's hand on her arm and said, "I hope I can be what he needs."

Marcella then turned on Black and Kristi's gaze also wandered to the man, hoping he'd see reason and just stay out of Nick's way.

She had succeeded in confusing him. "You call it good but you didn't enjoy it..." He was about to say more when Sirius walked in. "Look what the cat dragged in.." he huffed under his breath, pouring himself another glass.

Marcella rolled her eyes as once again, Sirius seemed to plead the fifth. She, with Kristi, followed the man into the Kitchen. She re-thought over what Kristi had said. "Tossing salt is a muggle tradition....perhaps it reminded him of how dead against muggles his mother was?"

"Sounds to me like it's something you'll have to get to grips with in time. Not everything can be explained logically, especially when it comes to humans. You should keep that in mind, Kristi."
