| Remus stared and blinked. "I wouldn't do... what," he asked, alsmot rising at eyebrow (if it had been Sirius he would have thought it was a sexual innuebdo of some sorts just to **** him, Remus, out for the lack thereof). "I'm sorry but I'm completely clueless on what you are asking me. Don't be afraid to be plainer." |

Doyle Branxton Department of Mysteries | ooc: I think it's a wizarding village but, it could be a muggle shop, kinda like a novelty store. LOL "Could be interesting, I suppose," Kristi shrugged. "We never actually went to this store. There's another one, down the streeet and past the restaurant where most of the wizards shop."
She wasn't really in the mood to be chatty, which relieved and frightened her at the same time. She was relieved to know that she hadn't been poisoned, which was a ludicrous notion anyway. However, it meant that what Nick had said was true; she was developing some strong feelings for him and was feeling more at ease with talking to him, so much so, that she was inclined to tell him things about herself. While everyone wanted to love and be loved, even Snape if he would admit it, the thought of actually falling in love with someone was quite scary. Kristi robotically pulled items off the shelves and from the cooler while her mind was absorbed in her thoughts. |

I'd assumed you were smart, I mean, why else would Dumbledore let one of you into the Order or protect us?"
Sighing, he told him, "I meant transform. I don`t look at the sky much, I live down here on planet earth but is there supposed to be a full moon tonight? You wouldn't transform in here would you?" he asked, not knowing whether to trust this beast-man or not. |

Ministry RPG Name:
Edward Lestrange Magical Law Enforcement | Sirius was sitting under a tree reading his letter from Harry when Marcella appeared from no where and dragged him inside. She made some funny excuse about not being allowed to read letters outside. Marcella then pulls him into the kitchen and sits down on one of the worksurfaces and stares him in the face. Confused Sirius sits down at the table and stares back at her. He is surprised by her question. After he had bared his soul to her, she wants proof of what he told her. "No, I didn't lie to you. Of course I was in Azkaban Prison at the time Faith was murdered, so I was not present when she died. Why would I lie to you about something as important as that? I may hate Snivillus with a passion, but I would never try and turn you against him. Your a grown woman, you can make your own decisions where he's concerned." Sirius continues to look at Marcella desperately trying to read her mind. What had brought about this sudden change in her attitude towards him? He wondered if it had anything to do with the letter she had just received. |

| A brief look at the shelves was enough to let Tonks know that this was no muggle shop. Sighing slightly with disappointment, she followed Kristi around the shelves, she obviously knew what would be needed.
What to talk about, she thought to herself as she walked along, ths silence becoming almost awkward. She realised that she knew little about the girl. Now was as good a time as any she figured. 'So Kristi. You play Quidditch at all?' That's got to be a safe question, she thought.
She picked up some ingredients from the shelf, planning to brew a few potions when she got back to the house. |

Doyle Branxton Department of Mysteries | "No, not at all. I tool flying lessons my first year and that was enough. Broomsticks are alright for transportation if you don't have a more convenient way to go but, I don't fancy having my face smashed by a bludger. Besides, I was in Slytherin and they don't allow girls on the team," she replied, grabbing a few more items off the shelf. "And you? Do you play at all?" |

| Tonks was surprised by the girls quick response. 'Oh me, I play about a bit. Never made a house team though, far to clumsy. I tried out for beater once, but I dropped my bat after hitting the bludger and it hit one of the chasers.'
She giggled at the memory, leaving out the fact that the girl in question was trying to date the same boy as Tonks. Grabbing a few more jars off the shelf, she deposited all she was holding into the basket. 'I love flying though,' she continued absently. 'So you're not big on flying then, hmm, what do you like?' It was a dumb question, but at least it would give them something to talk about. |

"So you admit it, you weren't there when it happened so you cant know for sure exactly what happened!"
She looked toward him distrustfully first and then not the second. Discounting both his and Snape's words, she shook her head, rubbing the fore part of it.
"All this is giving me one major headache. From now on I'm going to distance myself from both you and him. You're both biased seeing as you were both involved with this Faith person at one time or another and you're both desparately trying to convince me that you're the better. Quite frankly, it's sad. He's competing with a dog and you're competing with a man locked up in jail. The pair of you are ludicrous." she told him, not really looking any certain way at all. |

Doyle Branxton Department of Mysteries | "Potions and researching," she replied, studying the amused expression on Tonks' face. She was either a very happy person in general or, she'd had a lot more to drink than Kristi had given her credit for, at first. "I suppose the love of potions doesn't come as much of a surprise considering who my father is." |

Doyle Branxton Department of Mysteries | Kristi shifted on her feet a bit uncomfortable before moving down the aisle again. "Um... I'm not sure. He's a good father, I guess," she said, unsure of what Tonks expected for an answer as the question was rather loaded and could be taken to mean any number of things. "He's certainly a better father than Nick and Marcella's father." |

He is very good at weaving lies and making them sound like the truth. How do you think he won Faith over in the first place? I don't care if you believe me or not. And please don't flatter yourself, I not the least bit interested in you. Nor would I sink so low as to compete with Snivillus for your affections. You do remind me of my beloved Faith, but other than that there is nothing between us. You wouldn't know a real man if he grabbed you right now." Sirius is so angry with Marcella that he jumps out of his chair, grabs her off the worksurface, pulls her close to him, and gives her a passionate kiss. "That's how a real man kisses a woman with love and passion. If I decided to compete with Snape, I can assure you it would be a one sided battle. Snape is a cold fish compared to me." |

| Tonk realised that she had probably entered an uncomfortable area for Kristi, and immediately tried to fix her blunder.
'Well I mean,' she began quickly, 'He was a good teacher, but seemed so formal. I'd just wondered what he was like in person.' She stopped to examine some fruit, becomming particularly engrossed in an apple. What was I thinking? she thought furiously to herself. Of course this would be a delicate subject for Kristi, and here she was just bull-dogging her way through it.
Deciding that silence would only make things worse, she turned to face the girl, keeping her voice low. 'Look, I'm sorry Kristi. I didn't think. That was insensitive.' |

Doyle Branxton Department of Mysteries | "No, it's alright," she said, though thoughts of her father didn't exactly cheer her up. "He's gone and nothing is going to bring him back from it this time. People are going to talk about him, especially when they are living in his house. It's okay."
Kristi sighed and considered whether or not to bother answering Tonks' question. It seemed rather personal but, she did seem genuinely interested... "I suppose he's much the same 'in person' as he was in class. He's always been rather formal," she continued, shrugging her shoulders. "Marcella seems to think he should be more expressive of his 'love' for me but, I never knew him to be anything other than he was so, it doesn't really bother me at all that he isn't emotive." |

| Tonks listened as Kristi spoke, not really sure how to answer, or even if she should. Her past was so different, her childhood carefully overlooked by her parents. Her mother may have been more than a little excentric, but she had always been there for her. Half the family had disowned them, but from as early as she could remember, she'd felt loved and accepted. What would it have been like to grow up with Snape? She shuddered involuntarily at the thought of someone so remote raising her.
Realising that Kristi would probably be expecting some kind of response she tried to think of something to say. 'I don't mean to pry. Just always wondered.' She shrugged, hoping no offence would be taken, mentally kicking herself. What was with her lately? She found it so easy to talk to Harry and the others. How was it that she seemed to come off as a blathering idiot ever since this assignment started. |

Doyle Branxton Department of Mysteries | Thinking that was the end of that line of questioning, Kristi tried to think of something to say in order to attempt to be more social. Maybe if she could get to know at least one of their guards a little better, it might not feel so cramped and tense in the house... "So, you're an Auror, right? What's it like working for the Ministry?" she inquired. |

| Tonks was taken aback momentariy. No-one had ever asked her that question before. 'Eh..well,' she began, unsure herself as to her opinions. 'It's alright I suppose. I don't like the politics much. I'm just not cut out for it. And the Ministry is all about the politicing.' She rolled her eyes, remembering Fudge's posturing, before continuing.
'Being an Auror though, well, it's great.' Tonks beamed, remembering her 'initiation'. 'I get to do a worthwhile job, with a great bunch of people. We have fun, despite the danger.' She fell silent, thinking of her friends at the Ministry, wondering when she'd see them again. 'So,' she said cheerfully, waking from her reverie, 'Ever thought of join the Auror ranks. Becoming the scourge of evil-doers.' Tonks mimicked a dueling stance as she spoke, laughter playing in her eyes as she did, sneaking its way to her lips. |

She considered telling Tonks about her application and decided knowing someone on the inside couldn't hurt her chances. "I have thought about applying for a position inthe Ministry, though. Do you think it would be safe enough for me to leave the house for work?" |

| Tonks stopped her play acting and eyed Kristi. 'Oooh, what job? You're not going to become one of those uptight office people are you?' Her tone was light, a hint of mischief in her eyes.
She pondered the situation. The safety of Marcella and Kristi was the primary goal, but surely Dumbledore would at least consider the girls request. Thinking of her friends at the ministry, of Kingsley's upcoming birthday she wondered if maybe she would be allowed act as gaurd. 'You could always ask Dumbledore,' she replied, trying to keep her own hopes in check. 'He might allow it.' She mused this idea over in her head, feeling somewhat guilty for her own interests.
Catching sight of herself in a fridge door, she grimaced at her appearance.
She looked far to serious, not at all like herself. She was fighting the urge to change then and there when the reality of their situation sank back in. 'Just don't get you're hopes up too much,' she said, turning back to Kristi. 'There's a good chance I'd say, but he could easily say no.'

| Tonks grinned, relieved that she had not built Kristi's hopes up too much. She thought back to her own NEWTS, remembering the trepidation she'd felt over her own results. 'What subjects did you take?' Tonks asked as they continued their shopping, intrigued as to what profession she was considering. 'The results should come soon right?'
Tonks made a mental note to try to arrange some kind of celebration for them. They may be stuck in that house, but they deserved some sort of party. Everyone else would be having one she was sure, why should they miss out? |

| 'Potions,' Tonks began, 'almost cost me my career.' She shook her head, 'I barely made it through the NEWTs. Hmmm, and with Charms and Transfiguration....' She thought for a moment, her head tilting to one side. 'Nope,' she declared finally. 'I havn't got a notion what job you want.'
She saw the two men across the shop, Remus a look of confusion on his face. At least they hadn't attacked each other. Grinning, she turned back to Kristi. 'Ere. | |
