Andi's eyes widened. "I think my dad would be really excited to hear that I actually consider boys as something other than mates. I didn't say I wanted to jump on him and snog him to death. I said he has an appeal. I know you don't have any non-murderous feelings for him, Jo. I'm just saying you've had a... moment. Secrets like that make people bond in ridiculous ways."

Joey felt stupid for overreacting and being so defensive, but didn't say so. "Actually.. you're exactly right. I can't look at him in the same.. way." Joey scrunched up her nose and shook her head. "I ... well, I don't know." Joey stood and picked all the grass and dirt off of her. "Let's go jump in the lake. What do you say?"

Andi jumped to her feet and pulled Joey up as well. "I'm game." She took off for the lake, leaving Joey to catch up with her. Jo might be smaller, but she was wicked fast. All Andi had going for her was a few inches and longer legs. At the lake, Andi was about to jump in, but she hesitated. Andi's wrist and leg guards would get damaged by the water, so she peeled them off, followed by her shoes and socks. Finally, she peeled off her t-shirt and jumped in. Everyone was in class, so it didn't really matter if her undergarments were showing.

Joey was always up for a race and ran as hard as she could after Andi..she almost flew past her, but stopped just as Andi did. Andi lost some clothes.. and Joey watched with her mouth open.. "Andi... you.. no shirt!" Joey bent over laughing. "You're insane...but what the heck.." Joey jerked off her own Quidditch equipment, then like Andi, her shirt. "I'm losing the skirt too..," Joey said leaving it behind before diving head first.

Andi laughed and splashed around. "I don't want my clothes to get wet. Can you imagine flying in a wet shirt? Ugh..." She jumped on Joey and dunked her. "Good thing everyone's in class. I don't fancy walking through the school in these togs." She ducked away from Joey and swam out a bit farther.

Joey shivered in the cool water, kicking hard to try and stay warm. She was too busy treading water to notice Andi, and took a nice mouth full or water when she ducked her under. Coughing, Joey swam after her, seeking revenge.. She reached for Andi's foot and pulled back on her hard.

"Truce.. truce.. I don't want to be squid food." Joey leaned back and floated on the water. "Andi.. can you see the lake from anywhere in the castle..?"

"Well, there's a few windows on this side of the castle that you can see out of, but I think they're all corridor windows. And we're far enough away that I'm not sure anyone would know what exactly they were looking at." She did a backstroke around Joey. Having a lake in Hampstead, as well as a pond at family Manor meant that Andi had done a lot of swimming in her life. "Don't tell me you want to go in already?"

Lia shrugged. "I don't know.. Did you get a good smell of Joey Potter?" Lia asked abruptly. She bit her perfect nails in thought, trying to figure the whole ordeal out. "Just.. nevermind. Let's get this over with.." Lia said, swinging open the door. She hated what the humid greenhouses did to her hair..

"No! Of course not. I just didn't want Dad to look out a window and see his daughter in her underwear in the lake. That'd be great..,"Joey said, then took up a mouth full of water and spit it towards Andi. "Let's swim down and see if we can get a glimpse of those sea people Dad told me about.. want to?"

Andi nodded. "Okay, but I hope they don't mind our underwear as much as your dad would." She took a huge breath before diving down and kicking her way towards teh bottom. The lake was pretty shallow at this point, and Andi saw some beautiful plant-life. There were no moving creatures, but it was still surreal and lovely.

Joey dove after Andi, filling her lungs with air first. They hadn't ventured out far enough to really see the merpeople, but it was fun all the same. Joey flailed and pointed as a squid tentacle shot past...Joey shot back up to the top. "Did you see that!" Joey squealed excitedly.

"I saw it," Andi laughed as she burst through the surface. "And I still see it." She pointed at the squid tentacle waving around about 20 feet away. "What is it doing?" Andi considered her options before swimming towards the squid.

Joey gasped and covered her mouth with her hands. She was no longer treading with her arms.. so she dunked under before removing her hands... coming back up, water all in her eyes, she yelled, "Andi! Our clothes! Quick! It's taking our...," Joey didn't bother finishing her sentence... as she watched their clothes, in the possesion of the squid now, dive back under the water. "I'm going to just drown myself now."

Andi splashed around for a moment as the undertow from the squid caused her to be pulled under water briefly. She burst back to the surfact gasping for breath and looked around wildly. What was going on? Their clothes were gone and Joey looked miserable. "At least my wrist guards are safe. My dad bought me those."

"Andi! At least my wrist gaurds are safe is all you can say?" Joey ducked under, hoping the squid would just eat her, before bobbing back up. "I'm in my underwear... and you're excited about your wrist guards. I'm going to live in this lake. Right here. Never getting out. I bet the merpeople would take me in.. or perhaps..," Joey caught herself.. babbling like... her mother. "Andi.. what are we going to do?"

Andi glanced around, considering their options. "We can either stay here in the water or we can go and try to find something to wear. I'm starting to get cold, and I want to get out of here before class gets out, so... I think we should get out. We could go to Hagrid's hut and see if he has a blanket to wrap around us."

"Andi...," Joey whined. "Daddy and Hagrid are close... he'll tell on me!" Joey looked around, knowing it was their only way. "Fine... come on, we'll get our gear after we get clothes...," JOey slowly swam to the shore closest to Hagrid's. "You know.. we could summon our brooms.. and fly to our window...," Joey said, knowing that to be a bit much, but her tone gave away exactly how desperate she was.

"That's not a bad idea," Andi pulled herself out of the water and shook off like a dog before wringing out her hair. "It isn't a bad plan, but its going to be really cold. I don't think Hagrid is in there either, but if he is, we'll sneak around the pumpkin patch and back to the pitch for our brooms. Either way, we'll fly back to the dorm." She scooped up her wrist and leg guards.

Joey pulled herself out of the water, hating herself more and more for ever taking her clothes off. She tried to brush some of the water off her arms, as she looked around nervously. "I'm going now before someone comes out and I'm mortified for the second time in one day..," and Joey ran as fast as her legs would carry her while trying to cover her all but bare body with her arms. She reached Hagrid's Hut and leaned her back up against it, catching her breath and waiting on Andi..

Andi jogged along behind Joey, trying to catch up with her. She darted behind the hut and leaned against it as well. "That's a far more risque look than I would have guessed for you," Andi laughed as she tried to catch her breath. "Now, peek in the window and see if he's there."

"Shut up, Winston..," Joey said miserably. "Not all of us live in our sports bra." Joey crossed her arms to cover herself again, and stood on her tiptoes to look in the window. "No sign of him...," she said, sinking back down beside Andi. "I can't believe we're breaking in.. but come on." Joey put her bare feet on the cold stone steps, and let herself into Hagrid's Hut. Without even thinking twice, or giving the room a second glance Joey started searching for something to put on.

Andi glanced down. "Hey, I LIKE my sports bra. It's comfortable and good for playing Quidditch. You don't wear underwear like yours unless you plan on someone seeing it." She followed Joey into the hut and sat on Hagrid's table, her legs swinging. "Who are you planning on showing it to, Jo?"

"Well gosh, Andi.. no one. But.. you never know. Look at today for instance.. if that potion would of been much stronger, I'm sure Mr. Malfoy would of seen them..," Joey said her face getting hot. She hated that she kept thinking about him.. "And it looks as if you're seeing them. So there." Joey searched and searched... not having much luck in finding something wearable. "I can't believe you're so relaxed about this...," she said, digging through a drawer of old socks.

Andi giggled and hopped off the table. "I'm not all worried about it. I have an older brother who has seen me like this before. Its the same thing. I guess, though... if I were dressed like you, I'd be concerned too." She ducked from any rage that Joey might have and jumped up on Hagrid's bed. "Look, here's a blanket and I can take the tablecloth."

"Andi...gah, nevermind." Joey was going to tell her that most girls wore underclothes much like herself, and that Andi was the minority here.. but she decided it best not to. "Fine.. toss it here..," Joey said reaching her hands up. After wrapping herself up in snuggly, she went and peeped out the door. "I'm ready when you are.. unless you have another comment to add about my undies."

Andi jumped off the bed and pulled the tablecloth off the table. "No, I like them. I... I just don't have anything like that. I suppose I could borrow something of Lex's if I really wanted to." She grinned and threw the tablecloth around her shoulders. "You know, I'd hate to have to explain to anyone our afternoon. The squid stole our clothes while we were swimming in our underwear and we broke into Hagrid's hut to borrow something to wear."
