Bryce nodded. "Okay," he said and reluctantly made his way to the door. He turned back to look at her and had to hurry out the door. He felt miserable. But, Lia was right, if he was going to salvage anything with Andi, he'd have to go to her sooner rather than later.
When he arrived back at the common room, it was virtually empty. Rosier was sitting huddled on the couch, staring into the fire lookng deeply troubled but, that was about all. Good, everyone else should still be at the ball. He decided to go up to the dorm and change before heading out to try and find Andi. Unfortunately, he was wrong about everyone being at the ball. It seemed everyone was in the Slytherin boy's dorm. Andi was sitting on the bed of one of the Gryffindors and Lex was sitting on the bed of another. He really wasn't up for a confrontation so, he tried to slip away unnoticed.

Lia lost all composure when Bryce had actually listened to her and left her alone. That wasn't what was supposed to happen, but she supposed it was for the best. Lia looked to the window and thought about it.. but it seemed the more she thought about it.. the more the window seemed to shrink. "Stupid room," Lia muttered.
No longer feeling very pretty, Lia throught she best just give it up for the night. She returned to the Common Room, face swollen and red, her makeup running down her face. Without a word to Ren, she sat down beside her. | |

She'd been staring into the fire, her book lay open but, forgotten. She looked up once to see Bryce walk in and then continued her contemplation with the fire. She was so lonely and even having Robert nearby wasn't helping like she thought it would. All she had to do was contact him and she could sneak out to be with him but, it just wasn't the same anymore. Serenity felt utterly alone.
She flipped the page, absently, whilst still staring into the flames. The door to the common room opened and closed again and she felt someone sit down beside her. Looking up, she found a very un-Lia-like Lia. She looked awful, like she'd just lost her best friend. Serenity reached into her pocket, took out a tissue, and turned to face her. She moistened it with a spell from her wand and dabbed at Lia's cheeks. "You okay?" she asked, quietly. | |
