It was a typical day at the Weasley house. Dad was busy working in the basement. One day he is definitely going to burn the house down, but fortunately it wasn't today. Brennan got up and put his muggle clothes on for the trip to the station. He carefully packed his Hogwarts robes on top, so he would have no trouble finding them on the train. He closed his trunk and headed down with it. He walked past his sister, Gwendolyn's, room. She was busy staring in the mirror again. He couldn't understand why it took her two hours just to get dressed. The rest of the morning went by according to schedule. They arrived at the station shortly after everyone else. He too saw the Winstons and Potters in the distance. Brennan wondered who the dark woman hugging Mrs. Winston was. He also noticed a young girl standing next to her. She looked like a Weasley with her red hair. Obviously she was a new student. Brennan wondered what house she would be sorted into. He wasn't familar with the procedure for sorting upper class students, so he was sure this years banquet would be interesting. Brennan continued to look around for his friends when he spotted Charlie MacMillan standing to himself. He then noticed Charlie's mom was talking to her friend and understood why Charlie looked so uncomfortable. Brennan got his trunk and started heading in Charlie's direction when the boy grabbed his things and boarded the train. Brennan said a hasty good-bye his parents and followed after him. He finally found Charlie sitting in the compartment with Orion Malfoy. Brennan puts his trunk away and sits down. "I tried to motion to you on the platform, Charlie, but you must have not seen me. Hello, Orion, you must have gotten here early as usual. So how was you'lls summer vactions?"

Jake was glad to see his parents arrived with the twins finally. He had been there much earlier as was required for the Head Boy and Head Girl. They had met with the Ministry officials who ride as "escorts" on the Express with the Prefects. Jake walked up to greet his mother with a kiss and hug his father giving him a nod. He playfully tossled the twins' hair but his father pulled him away for a brief aside.

Jay wanted to have a brief word with his son. He wanted to make sure that he kept an eye on his sisters but to try and enjoy his last year at Hogwarts. Jay remembered all too well how his last year at the school went. He was very proud of how mature the tallest Winston had become. It was hard to believe that he was soon to become of age. "And remember Jacob, Dumbledore will be expecting a report from you and the Head Girl upon your arrival." Jay paused a moment, "who'd you say was selected for Head Girl again?"

Jake looked back at his father, "her name's Elizabeth Smythe dad, although everyone calls her Beth. I don't know that much about her except that she's in Slytherin."

Jake hugged his father once again and noticed his mother talking to a darker women with a girl about his age that he was pretty sure he knew. "Serenity?" he said to himself as he walked over. Jake's mother was still in conversation with "aunt Day" as Jake walked up to say goodbye to her.

Day stood with Mattie and Wyn and couldn't help but smile, despite the circumstances of their reunion. She watched as Serenity turned to speak with one of the Winston girls before answering Wyn's question. Her face darkened a bit and she spoke softly, "I had an unexpected visitor last year. Dumbledore thought it would be best if Serenity finished her schooling at Hogwarts."

Serenity's attention turned toward the girl who had spoken to her. She didn't really recognize her, so she was glad Lex had introduced herself. "Well, I guess it worked, you seem to remember me better than I remember you," she laughed, casting a glance at two more girls heading her way.

She could tell that one of them was Lex's twin, Andi and the other looked very familiar, though she couldn't quite place the face. Then, she spotted the tall boy, JJ, as she remembered calling him, coming over, as well.

Bryce was not happy. They were late and he was going to have to walk through all the rabble to get onto the train. It was all Acacia's fault and father had been furious with her. Of course, her face was now all splotchy from crying which wouldn't make a good impression at all. Why did she have to be such a baby? She was eleven and should act like it.

As soon as they crossed the barrier, Bryce removed himself from his family, not bothering to say goodbye to any of them. He walked quickly to the train and found the compartment that Orion was occupying. "Every time I turn around another Weasley pops up," he muttered, ignoring the other two boys in the compartment until he could figure out what Orion was up to with them, perhaps he was planning a treat for them later on. He leaned over to the window and looked out at the new redhead who was standing with the Winstons, "Although, she's not bad looking and if she's anything like Wendi... Might be worth a second look. Know anything about her?"

Rusty was still scratching his head trying to figure out how his sister Joey managed to gain several of his favorite Wizarding cards from him on the ride over to the station. He did manage though to use his wand and ACCIO them back from her pocket as they were walking up to their classmates. He helped his father unload the trunks and then gave him a sort of handshake as he waved that he was heading off.

Harry was used to the fact that Rusty was trying as hard as possible to not be looked on as "Potter's son." He knew he wanted his own identity as much as Harry wanted to hide is own scar when he came to Hogwarts each year. Now, after so many years, Harry was so used to people looking at him and pointing that he didn't even notice all of the first years scrambling around on the platform to get a look. Harry and Mattie saw Wyn, Jay and....was that Day? Harry and his wife walked Joey up to them to greet them.

Rusty saw Jake and some of the others including Joey, Andi and Lex, his glance briefly caught Wendi Weasley, "whoa...the summer's been good to her," he mumbled to himself as he walked over to see them. After giving Jake a punch in the shoulder, said, "hey Head boob...I mean Boy, you gonna have to sit with all the wittle newbies on da big scary twain, or do we get to hang out and see who gets to sit with that new Astronomy Professor?" Rusty fiddled with his hair for no reason while talking, there wasn't anything he or his mother, could ever do with it.
While he was waiting for for a response from Jake, he noticedthe girl with the red hair standing with his "aunt".

Joey took up her dad's hand. She didn't care how old she got, there was nothing better than her dad and anything to do with him. Nodding back to Andi, they all moved over to Day. Joey watched in silence as her mother hugged the woman with the with the red haired child.

Mattie released Harry's arm, to get both her arms around Day. It had been such a long time... and though, they hadn't left off in the best way possible, Mattie was still genuinly glad to see her. And even more glad to hear that Serenity would be at Hogwarts. "That's.. great Day. She'll love Hogwarts," Mattie said smiling down at her. "This is our daughter Josephine. Josephine Potter." Mattie gave Joey a nudge, who was still clinging to her father like no tomorrow.

Joey, never known to be shy, offered her hand. "Hi Serenity. Please, don't call me Josephine. Want to go get on the train? Andi and I will show you around. And keep you far away from Russ.."

"Joey! You shouldn't talk about your brother like that. He's very lovely and they are in the same year. I'll bring him over to reintroduce you two. "Rusty? Come here for a minute, please." Mattie eyed her son with complete adoration. He was so much like Harry, and Mattie just knew he could never do any wrong.

It seemed everyone was converging on her all at once. She knew that if her mother had spotted her old friends they would end up being mobbed but, she hadn't really been prepared for it as she had been hoping to just sneak onto the train. Serenity took Josephine's hand and recalled that the girl had gone by another name when they were younger. "Are you still going by Joey?" she inquired, glad the girl was suggesting they get on the train.

But, no sooner had she spoken than her mother called over yet another person to come and re-meet her. She grinned and beared it but, she really missed her own friends who were back in the US with their careers underway. She wished she could have at least finished school with them last year before coming back to the UK with her mother.

Rusty was hoping to draw Jake away from the crowd to get on the train, he wanted to sneak into the Head Boy/Prefect's carriage until he heard his mother's call. He knew better than to disobey his mother, the last time he did, she tried to punish him by hexing his rear end and wound up giving him Weasley-red hair for a week.

As he rounded whoever was standing in front of though, he saw the girl who actually did have Weasley-red hair standing there. He thought he recognized her as someone he may have known a long time ago, but the last time he'd seen her she was playing with some stuffed animals and trying to hex the twins......he remembered that he thought she was pretty cool for that.......

"Oh, hi," he said, as if he just noticed her for the first time.

Wyn looked fondly on as all three of her children converged on the same spot. Alexa was doing her best to be social and Andrea was hiding behind Joey and seemed eager to get away. Wyn gave her a signicant look before her eyes found Jake. Her first born and the one who looked the most like her, Jake was a dream child. He gave her a kiss on teh cheek and Wyn held onto him tightly. It was his last year at Hogwarts. He was going to be an adult.

"I don't know if you remember my other two. That one lurking behind Joey is Andrea and this is Jacob. And this is Serenity."

Andi stepped around Joey and offered her hand. "Please call me Andi. Do you play Quidditch? I'm a chaser on the Gryffindor house team, and we're definitely going to win the cup this year. I remember you. We called you Wen'ty and you would never have tea parties with us. That's alright, though. I've grown out of tea parties." She smiled, unabashed by her torrent of words. "Joey and I are going to get on the train. You're welcome to sit with us if you want to."

Orion didn't have time to draw his wand before one of the numerous Weasleys and Charlie McMillan were in the car. Fortunately, Bryce appeared right behind them and Orion stood gracefully. His face was nearly blank and he walked past the two, moving to the door. Loud enough to be overheard, he cast back, "Slytherin wannabes. I have no idea what made them think I'd sit with them. I hope we can find another empty car, although I suppose we can hex and firsties out of whichever we choose."

Wendi had spotted a fellow 7th year Gryff and decided it was time to leave the Winstons and Potters to their little reunion since there seemed to be a new member. She quickly hugged her parents and waited as her mother made sure she was fine to go. Then grabbing her trunk she made her ways onto the train to look for a good compartment, but first she took a last look at the station and waved to her parents before entering.

Upon the train Wendi searched for a compartment finding one quietly alone she put her bag of 'personal belongings' down on the seat. Looking out the window she could see all the Winstons and Potters still conversing with those two new members, they didn't look fimilar to Wendi because the Weasleys were only close to the Potters. The new girl looked about Wendi's age, maybe they would become great friends, who knew. Eyeing the door out of the compartment she noticed two Slytherin 6th years pass by. Smirking Wendi put her head back on the seat and smiled. "This is going to be a fun year."

"It'd be more fun to hex the firsties, anyway," he muttered, sneering at the other two boys in the compartment as he left. "Of course, if we find us some nice looking girls, we might want to settle down there."

Day saw that Serenity was started to become a bit overwhelmed. Her daughter wasn't shy but, they'd spent the last year on the run, interacting very little with others. "I think you all better board the train," she spoke up, handing a bag to her daughter.

"Hi," she responded to who she now recognized as Sirius Potter before turning back to Aunt Wyn and smiling. "I still remember Jacob as JJ."

Just then, her mother handed her a bag and started to gesture toward the train. Grateful for the interruption as she was starting to lose track of who was who and which of them were talking to her and which were still just looking at her, Serenity took her bag from her mother. She looked back at Joey and Andi who had both invited her to sit with them on the train and said, "I'd be grateful to sit with you."

"Great. Well, this has been grand, but I'll see you folks at Christmas. Aunt Wyn.. Uncle Jay...Aunt Day... Mom...," Joey nodded towards them all. Even Uncle Fred had come over, and Joey made sure not to leave him out. "See ya!" Joey waved to them all, and started walking away. But.. she had left out one very important person. Running back, she jumped in her daddy's arms, squeezed him, and told him she loved him. She stuck her tongue out at Russ, as she moved away and whispered, "Don't even think about sitting with us, either, Rust head. Serenity isn't interested so don't get any ideas..," She flipped her hair and went to rejoin Andi and Serenity.

Linking arms with both the girls first, they entered the train towards the back. Most of the compartments were full already, but up just ahead two of Slytherin's finest were coming out of a compartment. Joey rolled her eyes and pushed past them. "Don't waste your breath making some ignorant comment, Malfoy. I'm just not in the mood to mess with you today. You either, MacNair..," Joey said, pushing past them..her eye on the compartment they had just come out of ..

Rusty couldn't keep his eyes of Serenity as her mother spoke to her and then handed her her bag. He watched his siter run past him to give their father a hug before rejoining the other two girls and disapperaing on the train. "Well, your Headiness," he said while bowing to Jake, "shouldn't you be addressing the little children about putting gum under the seats or something?"

Rusty looked once more towards where Serenity had entered the train but caught himself, he quickly turned to give his mother a kiss and hugged his father. He turned and gave Aunt Wyn playful kiss, then smiled wryly at Jay and waved. "Don't worry pop, I'll make sure the Prime Minister's head doesn't get too large this term...." he laughed out in a very eerily bark that made his father look around in recognition.....he'd heard that laugh before.....

Rusty put hs arm around Jake's back since he was so much shorter than his frined and the two headed on the front of the train where the Prefects and Head boy and girl would be sitting.

Charlie had no idea why or how he ended up in a compartment with Orion and Bryce, he just knew that he had, and then the two of them quickly left, displaying true Slytherin atttitudes. Charlie made a mental note to get back at them for being arrogant Slytherin jerks sometime.

He sat down and thought of how to answer Brennan's question. His summer, honestly, had not been bad, but extremely boring. So... "My summer was actually pretty boring and I've been looking forward to coming back to school," Charlie said. He was about to return the question when he noticed Joey and Andrea and another girl he didn't know standing outside of the compartment, with Joey eyeing the compartment. The door had been left open by the boys who had just left and Charlie leaned forward so he could be seen by the girls. "There's room in here, if you want," He said with a smile.

Wyn called out for Jake to stop and brought both boys back to her side. She gave him a brief kiss and held his face between her hands. "I want you to do something for me, JJ. You too, Rusty. You take care of your sisters and make sure that no harm comes to them. I don't know if you remember Serenity at all, but she was like a sister when she was little. You need to take care of her. Protect her as if she's blood." She gave Rusty a brief kiss as well and let them both leave in peace.

Andi stopped in her tracks and glared at Malfoy and MacNair who were exiting one of the cars. Brennan and Charlie were inside, and Andi lifted a hand to acknowledge them. "I'm always in the mood to mess with Slytherins," she put her hands on her hips and squared off her stance, her gray eyes snapping sharply. "I still owe one of you for the niffler in my trunk at the end of last term. It tore through all my robes to find my jewelry, and I know it was one of you."

Serenity merely stepped back as she witnessed a confrontation begining. The last thing she needed was to get involved in any arguments with anyone she might end up having to live with.

MacNair, who had been walking down the hall with Orion, turned at the sound of one of the Winston twins' voices. It was Andi. He smiled, sickly sweet, and responded, "Now, perhaps that's something Malfoy here would do but, I certainly have more class than to put a niffler in your trunk."

Joey stared at the side of Andi's face, as she started. Irritated, Joey crossed her arms, and started twirling her hair with her finger. "No doubts there. Not that you have class MacNair, but we all know Malfoy is a greedy son of a ferret, that would stoop to stealing girls' jewelry. Probably for his own sick self at that. Now, can we please move on?" Joey asked Andi, waving to Charlie and Brenan.

Orion glared at the Winston girl, but his face showed no sign of recognition regarding the prank. They'd snagged the niffler after Care of Magical Creatures and it had seemed only natural to use it against the girls they so carefully disliked. "Don't bring my father into this, Potter." His jaw twitched in irritation but his face remained blank. "You think you know everything about everything. You both do. Why don't you self-righteous Gryffs go seek your own kind and leave us to ourselves?" Normally he would be up to the fight, but the jibe against his father came too soon after his reflective mood about his family.

Andi ignored Malfoy's words. "Don't talk about class, MacNair, unless you're talking about the class of sub-human." She flipped her ponytail over her shoulder and scowled at him.

Serenity turned her back on the argument and stared out the window of the nearest compartment. She sighed and wondered if she should just go find her own compartment if this was any indication of what the ride with these two would be like. Although, if what they said about what those boys did was true, they deserved whatever verbal bashing they got.

"Don't go there girls," he said before a movement behind the girls caught his attention. He elbowed Malfoy in the shoulder and cocked his head. "I see you've managed to push your friend away with all this bad mouthing of fine Slytherin wizards."

The comment about self-righteous Gryffindors and just the simple fact that two boys were picking on girls made Charlie get up. The fact that the girls were giving it right back to them didn't matter, it wasn't right for a man to be so ungentlemanly to two women. Unfortunately, you often came across that type in Slytherin. He stepped in front of the two Slytherin boys. "Leave them alone," He said, eyeing Orion and Bryce. Sure, it was two against one, but if he had Brennan join him...

It wasn't even the first day, and Charlie, coming to his senses decided that a fight, despite being interesting, would not be too good as far as discipline went.

Jake ran back at the calling from his mother and gave her another quick kiss. "We will," the two of them said in unison....Rusty adding "Aunt Wyn" as he too kissed her.

"Come on Russ, if we're gonna talk to the engineer," Jake said and the two headed back up to the front of the train and jumped in.

Rusty kissed his aunt and laughed that bark again and the two quickly ran up front. "Maybe he'll let me drive," he said as they jumped up the steps and into the passageway that led from the front car into the engine.

"I do know everything about everything Malfoy. And, you're right. I think I will leave...," she said, twirling her hair harder but not moving an inch. She wasn't a fighter, but she sure wouldn't back down from Malfoy. Thankfully, before any sparks flew, sweet Charlie came out to intervene.

Joey sighed and put her arm over Charlie's shoulder. "Are you two, Slytherin losers taking notes? This is how you treat a lady. You should watch and learn."
