Evan's wandering eyes immediately feel on Lexi and he watched her every move and wondered just when had she discarded her wet clothes. Faster than the speed of light! The young man blushed and hurried to stand next to the girl.

"We're in a cabin nearby!" He exclaimed joyously. "Come with us, Lexi! Come! Quinny makes some kick butt sandwiches and and--Guess what we have! Guess!"

Quinn rolled his eyes at Evan. The boy sure could eat and he'd up having to make about seven sandwiches just for him, leaving almost no bread for him and Lexi. Snorting, as Evan predictably got excited over his favorite muggle drink.

"She'll never guess Evan just tell her," he said sourly and shivered. The sun was still beating on him and he was turning bright red. His boy was so going to hurt in the morning.

"Kool-Aid! And it's...RED!"

Lexi began chuckling before realizing what she was doing and bit down on her lip. No matter how amusing Evan could be, even if he was hyper about KOOL-AID, she wasn't going to let him see. No way.

"Red Kool-Aid, eh?" she asked. "What kind? There's all kinds of red, you know. What flavor is it?" The girl arched an aubrun brow, her head slightly tilted, before noticing out her eye that Quinn was red.

"I suppose, for the sake of free food, I'll come," she said, as if going to the cabin would be a burden. Mostly, she wanted to get Quinn into the house so he'd hopefully stop turning purple.

Evan blinked. He wasn't sure what flavor it was all he knew was that it was red and that it was sweet. He hadn't even thought of it! In a minor panic, he glanced at Quinn to save him from utter embarrassment.

"The normal. Fruit Punch," answered Quinn with a frown and nudged Evan. "Remember next time. Dork." He was one to talk. Quinn blushed and nodded, leading the way and ignoring the rising sensation in his chest in stomach. It was just a girl. He was never good with girls. Oh, great. How was he going to entertain her? He'd just let Evan do the talking but still--the idea didn't please him.

Evan pushed ahead of them, hooting and hollering in victory, leading the way to the cabin.

"Bread and cheese concoctions! Here we come!"

Lexi gave a nod. Fruit Punch? That was good. There were other good red ones though. There were plenty of other good Kool-Aid. But honestly. Who brought Kool-Aid to a cabin? She had to admit, she was amused by this.

'Waaait! Hold on!" she gasped, clutching her towel as she bent down to pick up her clothing and slip into her flip flops. As she grasped her jeans, water squished out and splashed to the ground. Her clothes probably weighed more than she herself did.

Secretly, she had to admit she was pleased to hear Quinn call Evan a dork. It was mildly refreshing.

"How far are the cabins anyway?" she asked waddling over to them as she tried to slip into her wet flip flops.

Quinn heard Lexi call out and he reached out to grab Evan by the towel he had wrapped around his neck. Evan stumbled backwards and bumped into Quinn who only pushed him forwards again.

"Easy!"

Evan ignored Quinn and beamed at his favorite. "Not too far away. Come on now, I'll show you," he said and smiled at her innocently, offering his hand.

Quinn stared at the gesture then raised his brows at Lexi. This was going to be a disaster.

"I... I've got to hold up my towel..." Alexis's voice started out like normal, but waivered out. She had to admit she felt somewhat sorry for him. She knew she treated him roughly. Of course, he kind of asked for it.

Wincing subtly, she reached her hand out to his, allowing her the tips of her fingers, glancing over at Quinn in a "Please do not say anythig" kind of face. Her other hand tightened her grip on her bathing suit, oblivious that the back was drooping slightly.

Honestly. These boys were a handful.

Evan's face started to drop but Lexi seemed to have a change of heart and took his hand. His heart flipped involuntarily and he cleared his throat. Not sure what was going on. He had held girl's hands before. What was with him? Ahh. My hand's sweating. Shut up! Gripping her hand tighter he led the way, a foolish grin on his youthful face.

"You won't regret it, Lexi," he said assuringly. "Quinny truly is a magical cook."

Quinn stared in amazement and watch them go past him, hand in hand. Feeling sick, only because he was hungry he was sure, he stood paralyzed and felt the heat rise up his neck and envelop his head as he caught a brief look at Lexi's backside. Quickening his pace, he followed, eyes glued to the ground in case he caught a view of something else he shouldn't have.

The salvation of Evan's face was obvious. Lexi made a mental note to make sure to hit him later for whatever reason. She had to keep the score neuteral, of course. His hands were moist! And he was wearing a dopey grin! She groaned silently, glancing over her shoulder at Quinn.

"Is that true?" she asked, flashing him a grin. "You're an amazing chef? I can't wait to see. Make me something special, m'k?"

She couldn't help it. He looked so... lonely back there and she had to make him smile or blush or something.

Evan was unaware of Lexi's discomfort, as usual and dragged her along at a quicker pace, excited to get to the cabin. Finally reaching the door, he threw it open.

"Ta-da! We're here!"

Quinn nodded at Lexi and blushed. It was his only reply and he walked silently behind them until they had reached the cabin where he pushed past them sourly.

"Alright alright!" He said in an irritated tone. "Out of the way! I don't have all day." And he entered the cabin heading straight for the small kitchen.

Evan turned to Lexi and whispered behind his hand.

"He gets cranky when he's hungry."

"I'm not cranky!" Was Quinn's reply.

"He's cranky," Lexi agreed in a stage whisper, smiling over at Quinn in the kitchen. "But everyone has their moment. I guess Quinn's is the kitchen." She shrugged, before biting her lip and looking down at her clothing. "Shame we can't use magic, eh?" she asked, her eyes forlornly on the soppy clothing before she made sure her towel was tightly around her.

"Soooo," said Lexi, sauntering over to the kitchen, leaning in the door frame. "What're you gonna make us? Something good, right?" Of course.

Evan snickered and plopped on the sofa, not bothered by the fact that his wet butt was leaving a humid imprint on the fabric. He found himself staring at Lexi's dripping wet hair and he looked away quickly, in case she noticed.

Quinn twitched. Had she just invaded his kitchen?

"Out." He answered simply and rummaged the small fridge for something edible and finding only some slices of american cheese. It was definitely not his favorite.

Evan laughed and shook his head, waving a warning finger at Lexi.

"I forgot to tell you. He doesn't like it when people go into the kitchen while he's in it. It annoys him. And he gets even crankier."

"I'm not cranky!"

Quinn muttered to himself and chucked the pack of American cheese unto the island. Honestly, American cheese? It was disgusting but still, Evan would eat it. The boy would eat anything. He placed several slices of bread on the island and turned to rummage the almost empty cupboards. There was a large bag of chips and--where was the Kool-Aid.

"Oi! Evan. Give it back."

Evan wrinkled his nose. He had told him to put it in a safe place now he was acting as if he had stolen the stupid thing.

"Alright! Alright!" Evan bent over and pulled out a blue container and chucked it at Quinn's head. "Take that Mister Cranky Pants."

Even though Quinn didn't play any sports his reflexes were quick. He dodge the attack and the sealed container fell into the sink. Good thing his aunts had charmed the thing before they left on the trip. He turned his back to the intruders and continued to work quickly. The sooner he finished the sooner she'd leave and he could breathe properly again.

Evan shrugged and smiled shyly at Lexi. He really wasn't sure what had gotten into Quinn but he wasn't going to admit it. He was supposed to know the guy like the back of his hand.

"Yeah, I think so," he commented softly. "Probably why he has never had a girlfriend."

"I heard that!"

Lexi tilted her head at Evan, giving him a cross between a reproachful look and a look of curiosity.

"Really?" she asked, mildly surprised. "I suppose it's cos he seems so shy... he's really rather sweet from what I've heard." She glanced over the half wall at him before turning back to Evan. "It's almost strange, how opposite you two are." She shrugged. "I guess people are interesting like that, hmm?"

In mock shock, Lexi widened her eyes and parted her lips in a fake gasp. "You're letting him into your kitchen?" she asked, her voice in faux awe. "Is it time to eat then?" she asked eagerly, her voice returning to normal as she clutched at the towel. "I'm starving. Nearly drowning in your own clothes uses a lot of engergy."

She smiled and patted the seat beside her. "Well, sit down Chef Quinn. Let Evan do some work. You can rest up." She tilted her head first at Evan and then at Quinn. "So you two have lived next to each other? How long? I have a neighbor friend back home; Johnny. We've been best friends since I was five. We're footie buddies."

"Oh," responded Quinn and blushed. He wasn't aware that there was such a sport but then again he found sports as foreign cultures. "I don't do sports. I get bruised easily."

Evan snorted and called out from the kitchen.

"The Kool-Aid is done. HMM! Quinny, get over here!"

Quinn smiled shyly at Lexi before slumping in the direction of Evan, snatching the paper plates from him. He walked over to the living room, somehow managing to juggle three plates of food while Evan followed him with the paper cups and jar of juice.

"Lunch is served," he announced with a small smile handing Alexis her plate first.

Lexi shrugged and nodded. "Not everyone is an athlete. Aside footie, I'm rubbish at anything else, to tell you the truth. And golf? I'm lame. Tennis? Even worse. I've terrible coordination with a racket." She grinned foolishly, leaning back as Quinn went to retrieve the the lunch, smiling back at him.

She tilted her head in admiration as Quinn returned, carrying the three plates. And to think he was terrible at sports! He had balance and coordination... somewhat. He could do something like figure skating!

"Thanks," she said, accepting her plate, with difficulty. It was hard to manuever, really, tricky holding up her towel and accepting the plate. She should have brought dry clothes with.

"I play Tennis!" Interrupted Evan taking a seat between Quinn and Alexis, nearly spilling his friend's drink. "I think I'm good with a racket," he said, putting his cup down on the coffee table and swinging at the air with a pretend racket.

Quinn scowled at him and bit into his grilled cheese. At least the food tasted good. He could handle this. Sure he could. He popped some chips into his already full mouth and chewed with some trouble. His mouth was overly full and you could tell by the way his cheeks bulged out, making him look like a very pale chipmunk.

Lexi cast a dirty look at Evan, who was wiggling his way in between her and Quinn. Now she remembered why she didn't hang around him so long. Even if free food was involved. Stupid annoying Evan. As he began swinging around his imaginary racket, she had to duck to the side to avoid getting her head whacked off.

"Watch it there, bugger!" Lexi yelped, scrambling to put her drink down, least that get spilled everywhere.

Glancing up, she scowled at the two, though the scowl quickly melted away at sight of ChipmunkQuinn. She had to giggle at that. It was uncontrollable. She reached across, over Evan and poked one of Quinn's cheeks.

"Hehe. Chipmunk," she giggled in a friendly manner, before taking a bite of her sandwhich and chewing.
