"Alright, Quinn," Lexi reasoned. "Really. You will. Daddy always tells me so and yet he's not been wrong. Now, c'mon, let's let Evan out before he dies. No one really takes you seriously when you tell them you've got a skeleton in your closet. Or cupboard."
She leant over in front of Quinn and pried at his fingers to try and free Evan. She couldn't deal with him dying. That'd be freaky. And sad. But really, really freaky.

"You wouldn't say that if it had happened to you," he said and glanced at Evan significantly. If Evan had tried kissing Lexi and she had pushed him away and Evan had cried like an idiot, she wouldn't think it was funny. Her fingers touched his and he snatched his own and stuffed them in his pockets as if her touch had stung. Flushing, he breathed quickly and stumbled into the kitchen. "I think I'll make more kool-aid," was his excuse and he threw open the freezer door to look for ice, sticking his head in and leaving it there.
Evan tumbled out and with a yelp landed on Lexi, rolling around with her and finally, stopping in a tangled mess of limbs and hair. Cross-eyed, dizzy, and embarrassed he tried prying himself away from the girl but found that wherever he could put his hands on her to push her off made him extremely nervous. So he nearly shut his eyes and decided to play dead. |

Blinking, Lexi shook her head as if maybed she'd shocked the boy. She craned her head, watching him amble off to the fridge, wondering why in the world anyone needed more Kool-Aid, which proved fateful to her.
In a matter of tumbling and rolling and a banging of her elbow, she wound up entangled to Evan. And she was in a bikini! Which was like being in her underware!
"Waaaaaaaaaa!" she wailed, trying to wriggle. Alas, their entanglement was tight and it seemed each had to work together to move apart. And Evan was acting like a dead fish.
"Waaaaaaaaaaaa you're touching my stomaaaaach!" She never had liked human touch.

Evan peeked at Lexi and quickly closed his brown eye. Maybe if she got off he could get up without having to break his leg in two. He placed his hands on her shoulders and swallowed. Nope. This just wouldn't do and with a whimper he returned to playing dead. Stomach--He blushed. No. He wasn't touching her soft, flat, warm stomach! She was just imagining things.
Quinn poked his head out of the freezer and stared wide-eyed at Lexi and Evan. "What are you two doing?!" He squeaked! There was---This! He didn't approve. "I don't like this! I don't approve! I don't."
"Shut up Quinn!" Evan shouted mortified and whined, shoving Lexi off, he ran towards the bathroom, feeling nausea seizing him again. | |

Quinn didn't approve? As if they did? Okay, maybe Evan did, but even he didn't seem to pleased by their entanglement. And suddenly, Evan was shoving her off, which tworked her limbs in strange, painful ways, and she wound up falling to the tile floor, yelping softly.
"Owww..." she moaned as the boy ran for the bathroom. Good grief. Was today over yet? She lay, staring up at the ceiling, cheeks flushed.

Evan put the seat down and sat on it, hands running through his hair nervously. He needed to get a grip! This was crazy! No, this was suicidal. Yes, he was setting himself up for a suicidal situation. A worried look on his face he stared at the space between the floor and the bottom of the door, hearing her voice sneak through it.

Quinn had poured two ice buckets in another glass jar and was opening the container of the powder when Alexis spoke. He eyed her, laying on the ground in nothing but her bikini and blushed at his own thoughts.
"Lots," he answered pouring way too much of the sugar powder. "Lots and lots of Kool-Aid."
Taking a deep breath, he stood up from where he was seated. He wouldn't be defeated. Nope. This was crazy! She was a girl, just like any other--only with burning eyes and blinding hair and magnificent hips. Slapping himself he turned the knob on the sink and splashed water on himself before nearly kicking the bathroom door open.
"What are you doing?" He asked both Lexi and Quinn--Quinn didn't answer immediately so he walked up to Lexi and prodded her with his foot, not daring to look at her. "Get up. It's--Uh. You're um...on the floor."

"I know," came Lexi's light reply. "It's kind of cool down here. And my head hurts a little." A little was an understatement, but she wasn't going to say anything.
Where were the adults, anyway? It occured to Lexi that no one else was in the cabin but the two of them. Was there no one else around yet? This intrigued her. Her father never let her have anyone over unless he was home. Course. The only person who ever came over was Johnny.
"You didn't get sick, did you?" she finally asked. It seemd to be a considerate thing to ask.

Quinn shoved the large spoon into the jar and mixed the contents, his eyes on Lexi and Evan and he spilled the juice everywhere over the counter. He didn't notice nor cared. He was busy shooting invisible daggers at Evan's head. "I brought aspirin."
Evan frowned and snorted. "Sick? Why would I be sick? As if I could get sick that easily. You don't know what you're talking about. I'm taking a nap." He stammered and stormed off to one of the bedrooms.
"Shouldn't you shower?"

Lexi carefully sat up, holding her hand to her temple as she rose. She winced carefully. Goodness, it hurt.
"... maybe I should go home?" she suggested. No one seemed to be happy anymore. Quinn seemed to be glaring and seemed pretty upset. And Evan was stammering and storming around.
She didn't want to see things get bad here.

Stung, Lexi drew back, biting her lip. Quinn had been the nice one! He was the calm one! And here he was, sending her away. She eyed the asprin as if it was going to bite her and then decided to leave it.
"I don't need it," she mumbled, standing. "I... fine I'll... go." She left the kitchen, retreiving her towel, wrapping it around her body and left without a good bye.
