"I said I'm going to throw up!" He said louder this time and stood up, took her by the arm and nearly shoved her out of the bathroom. "Come back some other time." He shut the door just as his stomach flipped violently. Why did he feel so ill all of a sudden? Running towards the toilet. He gagged.

Quinn raised his brows at Lexi as she was kicked out of the bathroom. Nodding and sighing knowingly he decided to try something called comforting. "If it makes you feel any better. He always gets ill after an argument."

"...well... yeah," was Lexi's ingenious reply. "I mean... well, everyone knows he's sensitive. I didn't mean to blow his ego so hard but... Merlin. I've never known anyont to throw up after an argument. And you said it so matter of factly!"

Which he did which was why Lexi was so incredulous. Had Evan ever thrown up because of her before, she wondered. Like at school, when she'd yell in front of everyone and the few times he'd storm away from her, was it to flush himself down the toilet? Suddenly, she felt a very heavy guilt pressing in on her, for everytime she'd ever yelled at him or called him childish or stupid or idiotic or moronic or foolish or to get away from her or that he was being weird or why can't you bug anyone else or why do you insist on driving me crazy and No-I-Certainly-Do-Not-Want-To-Have-Your-Babies.

Quinn shrugged. It was just the way Evan. "Ever heard of people throwing up because of nerves or falling ill because of guilt and anger. The human psyche is a complicated thing Alexis," he said and examined his hands turning them to and fro as if he could see the words written there. "It's what drives the human body. The heart is just an organ but the brain...our thoughts they're the ones that fuel us and they can torture you and become your worst enemy."

Evan got out of the room to catch Quinn's last words and he grimaced. "Spitting out your psychobabble crap? Do I need to go back and throw up some more."

Quinn scowled. "Not necessary buttface."

Lexi had to admit, although secretly and never to Quinn's face or back or even to Evan because that was just as good as admitting to Quinn, that she was rather takenaback by what he just said. Not that she was saying she thought Quinn was stupid, because it certainly wasn't that.

"I guess I don't often think of it that way," Lexi replied, shrugging. She wasn't always too fanciful. Sometimes, she remained a bit too logical for her own good. I mean, maybe it's nerves that make us do things like that, but that's because, you know, they're setting off all these chemicals and unbalancing ourselves. I donno. I don't think much about it. Never had much a reason. I don't plan on being a pyschiatrist or anything. I want to be a journalist. Deliver hard hitting facts and stuff."

Her amber eyes lit happily at the idea as she momentarily immersed herself in a short daydream. "I want to write for the Prophet one day. That's my goal."

Quinn nodded as Lexi began speaking and glared at the dirt underneath his nails. Without thinking he began cleaning them and nodded once more. "That's nice."

Evan nodded too and had found himself upside down on the couch, legs over the top and head almost touching the ground. Lexi was head down. Heh. Funny. "I'm going to be an actor. I'll be famous. Watch me!"

Quinn snorted. "Mmmhmm," he hummed, his tone clearly not very confident.

Lexi couldn't help feeling a bit put out that Quinn had no more than a "That's nice" while cleaning his nails for an answer. For once, she found herself turning to the upside down Evan and sitting down on the couch near him.

"Is that so?" she asked. "What kind of movies do you plan to do? Have you ever had any acting experience?"

And for once, she spoke curiously and not in a condecending manner.

Quinn would occasionally glance over his fingers at Lexi and smiled. The journalist profession suited her just fine. Except, she probably needed to get a little tougher. She couldn't quite afford to feel guilty after releasing an article humiliating some kind of public figure.

Evan turned his head to stare at Lexi's arm and he prodded it with his index finger repeatedly, intrigued at how soft she felt. "Drama! And comedy. And action! And suspense and mystery and horror and epic--" In all, Evan wanted to be in any movie he was given the chance to be in. "Acting experience? Um. No?"

Well, he had wanted to do Grease but the current Headmistress didn't think it was proper for the wizarding kind to delve into the muggle arts.

"The only experience he has ever had is pretending to be sweet and innocent to his senile aunties."

Evan pouted. Quinny could be so mean when he wanted to be.

As Evan poked her, Lexi subtly made a face, wondering why exactly he was even poking her in the first place, let alone why he was hanging upside down over the back of the couch as though he were spiderman or something.

"Well... I suppose you'll want to get a start on that," she said, nodding. "After all, the film industry is hard to break into, especially when you don't have a name or any experience or anything to sell you. I mean, cuteness and innocent looks aren't going to get you far." She shrugged again.

She had to remain somewhat nonchalant and disattatched.

Evan stared at Lexi curiously. He observed the way her brows would wiggle excitedly when she talked and knit together whenever he opened his mouth. He observed the way the corner of her mouth twitched when he touched her and it was dawning on him little by little. Evan was an idiot. He would admit to it any day. He was oblivious to many things but he wasn't a complete vegetable. And he knew. He knew.

Closing his eyes he sighed. "Aiiii," he whined in a tired but patient manner. "You think you know me, Lexi."

Quinn turned to face both of them and he nodded, agreeing with Evan's comment. "He's more than just a pretty face with an annoying personality and large ego."

He wanted to add nasty hygiene habits and horrible fashion sense but that would be contradicting his point. "He's quite--colorful," he ventured to say without having to let out any secret they hadn't agreed to keep from others but that Quinn knew he shouldn't. It was an unspoken vow made by simple eye contact and a sympathizing smile.

Lexi shook her head honestly this time. "No, it has nothing to do with you, really," she said, shrugging yet again. "I... I know that industry. I've studied it. I once wanted to act, too, cos I thought it'd be amazing to be this whole other person and take on these different characters. But I couldn't. I know that. I could never do that because I prefer to be me and I can't break that mold. It's just... the whole industry like that is so screwed up. If you're not related to someone rich or famous or you're not pretty enough or too average or you don't have the right morals you seem to go no where. They don't seem to judge on talent anymore, but the trivial things."

She fell quiet again, and perhaps she didn't entirely grasp what Quinn was saying.

"Colorful as he is, as you are Quinn, as sometimes I think myself... sometimes I think we're just nobodies. I'm not even sure if I'll ever make it in journalism. It's even harder to break into, I think, cos to get the money you have to do something big but it's so hard to work up there. It's... scary."

There was something lacking in Lexi's voice; her general bravado seemed weak and broken down and upon admitting to being scared her voice cracked ever so slightly. She didn't look at either boy but at the floor, where she found her towel laying in a lump, reminding her that she sat next to Evan in just her bikini so then she found herself flushing and feeling stupid all the same.

Quinn's gray eyes focused on the girl talking beside him and he feared some other rant. Girls made him nervous especially girls who talked a lot. Couldn't wrap his mind around their words and had no clue how to sympathize with them without seeming an idiot.

"All the same," he pitched into the conversation. "I'm going to give singing a shot," added the pale boy, admitting his own dream. "I know I'm not what most would call commercial. I know that. But I have something most artists now a day don't."

Evan smiled lopsidedly, although his ears were focused on Quinn's current speech, his eyes trailed up Lexi's thighs. "Talent."

Quinn snorted and threw the towel at Lexi's feet at his face. "No. Melon head. Heart."

Evan nodded again. He did that often and sighed. "You gotta break the mold, Lexi. Go through fire. Leap over buildings. Eat dog food. Whatever it takes to show them that it's what inside that counts."

Lexi reached over and tugged the towel off of Evan's face, tugging it back to her lap, where she pulled it up over her like a blanket, hugging it to her body so her fingers had something to do.

"Tell me you've never eaten dog food," she said to him, grinning. Be nice, Lexi, she told herself.

"The problem is, my mold is quite tightly fit. I like to think I'm different from other people. I don't think I'm commercial either, which is another reason I wouldn't succeed so well in the acting industry. Pretty girls make it in acting. Not me. But I guess what I fear is... trying and failing. I abhor failing. I like to succeed and excel and do well. Not fail. No one wants to fail. And... it's hard. Very, very hard to amount to anything in that world. My mother tried to make me all of that. Frilly dresses and hair styling and all that stuff that girls do. I'm not a normal girl. I don't like being touched by anyone and I don't like squealing and giggling and doing make up and they've never much liked me, though the feeling is rather mutual."

She shrugged again, falling silent.

"It'd be brilliant though, wouldn't it, if we all made it?"

"You're pretty," replied the young men immediately, blushing simultaneously as they did so. Their words wafted into each other's ears and they were well aware of their silent confession, however, for their sake, they equally silently, vowed to ignore it.

Quinn sighed and propped his elbows on his raised knees. Throwing his head back he felt his back burning. Aloe vera gel. Now. Ouch. Stupid sun. "It would. Evan will probably never make it. He'll be murdered by angry exes before he even gets his first audition."

Evan yelped and fell off the couch, in a tangled mess, pointing an accusing finger blindly at several sections of the room, his mismatched eyes unfocused. "I don't have angry exes! I'm not the one who made that little girl cry!" Oops. It slipped. It really had and he shot a pleading look at Quinn. It didn't work though. Next thing they knew, Quinn was chasing Evan into kitchen.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" Shrieked Evan and threw one of the doors at the bottom of the cupboard open and hid inside it.

Lexi had no time to pay heed to the fact that both boys called her pretty. At the same time. As they took off, racing away through the cabin, she nearly fell off the couch. She groaned and pushed herself up, before running after them. Quinn had already tried choking Evan once today. She didn't need him to actually follow through with murder.

"What in Merlin's blazes is going on?" she asked, her voice stretching with a groan. Why were they always moving? ALWAYS MOVING.

"Angry exes? Crying girls? Whaaaaaaaaat?"

And with that she dropped to the floor, folding her arms.

Quinn lunged at the closing door but managed to slam into it with his forehead. Momentarily stunned he laid on the ground dazed, a goofy smile on his lips. For some reason there were several Lexi's dancing around his nose. Shaking his head, knowing all too well these could mean a possibly concussion he decided to finish the job before he died from cerebral bleeding. Trying to pull the door open he grunted. Stupid Evan was keeping it shut from the inside. Rapping his knuckles on the cheap wood he sucked his teeth.

"Lets get something straight Evan Winchester," he snarled. "I didn't mean to make her cry? Okay! Plus I was going to have to tell her eventually. She's only eight years old!"

From inside the cupboard, Evan's unbelieving, sarcastic laughter could be heard. "Yeah! You didn't have to be so cruel though. She even drew you a pony! A PONY!"

"I repeeeeeat!" Lexi wailed over the shouting of the boys. "What in blazes is going on in here?!"

Alexis had the talent of effortlessly being able to raise her voice. Loud. And make herself heard. It was something she was good at, making herself heard.

"Pony drawings? Crying girls? What is this about?"

She flopped over on her back, breathing out a puff of air, sending her fringe flying up.

Quinn blushed and raised a hand at Lexi. "Later!" He called out and turned to try to rip off the door from the cupboard.

Inside it, Evan whined and decided to tell on his friend. "Well, Emily is 8 and she lives across from me and she has this cute little innocent crush on Quinn--"

"It is not innocent! She tried kissing me!"

"Innocent I tell you! Innocent!

She couldn't help it. Lexi sat up and began laughing. The kind of laughter that starts out innocent enough, but soon you're laughing hard. And then you laugh harder because you're laughing. Which then makes you laugh even harder, till tears are forming in your eyes and you're holding your stomach.

"Oh man. Oh man oh man oh maaaaaaaan," she moaned, laughing.
