Hermione put her hand on George's shoulder. "Some people like to... sort of hide the fact that they're mourning anything. And other people have their own ways of doing it, so... if that's what they all want, let them do it. I'm sure no one would hate you if you wanted to go sleep in your room tonight."

Harry looked up into to Ginny's eyes and searched his own mind for an answer. "I don't know, Ginny, but it's hard to think that if I wasn't alive none of this would have happened."

"I haven't been alone in my room in my entire life. I've always had a roommate, and I probably always will. I don't think I'd feel better alone." He looked closely at Hermione, maybe really seeing her for the first time in a long time. "Thanks, Mione. You're all grown up now... sometimes I forget." He gave her a sheepish look and opened his arms for a hug.

"If you weren't alive, Harry, Voldemort would have taken over long ago," Ginny said forcefully, grabbing his face in her hand so that he had to keep looking at her. "You were the only thing between the world and pure evil then, and you're the only thing now. I know that's a lot of pressure, but you're up for it. Unless you let yourself believe that every death HE causes in this war is YOUR fault."

Elizabeth saw Ginny smile weakly in her direction, then start talking quietly to Harry. Getting into her sleeping bag, Elizabeth tried not to make eye contact with anyone.

Hermione gave George a brief hug, then smiled at him. "I am all grown up now... though sometimes I wish I weren't and that I was still at Hogwarts." She laughed and added, "An I'm sure you do as well. I imagine carrying out all of your evil plans at Hogwarts without getting detention was quite a rewarding feeling?"

Harry kept his eye contact with Ginny, but what she was saying didn't have any effect on his mind. It was just as if many people had said it and his mind would never change. "Okay..." He said, not wanting Ginny to rant anymore.

Snape blew across the cup and took a slow sip of the tea and turned his head toward Tara at her question. "Poetry?" he asked, wondering where she could have gotten the idea...

He looked past Tara to his bookshelf and recalled her helping him the previous evening. She must have seen.... "I suppose," he answered, taking another sip and placing his cup back on the table.

"Are you kidding? Fred and I have the highest number of detentions EVER. Its much better to be out in the real world where people laugh or react instead of punishing you for being a creative genius," George laughed for the first time in days.

Ginny let go of Harry's face and sat up abruptly. "You want to be unhappy, Harry. You want to lay here and believe that Luna's death is your fault so that you can have something else to be unhappy about." Her voice got louder, but she didn't care. "What does that mean for me, Harry? I'm here, and I'm someone who wants to make you happy. Are you going to keep pushing me away?"

Tara blew out a long, frustrated breath. She had tired to make conversation several times, and each time she was completely shot down. It wasn't that she was afraid of silence, to the contrary, she appreciated silence as a necessary and important part of her day. However, this wasn't Tara by herself or Tara with a trusted companion - this was Tara with a man who had just stolen her breath only a few moments ago. And now he was acting as if they were distant colleagues. She picked up her cup and then set it down again without taking a sip.

Hermione smiled, glad that George was laughing. Maybe that was it... talking about what he loved to do... play jokes on people, that made him happy. She was glad she had some part in making him smile. "So, business is going well?" She asked.

"I don't want to be unhappy, Ginny!" Harry said, raising his voice too. "And I'm quite glad you want to make me happy... but I can't help what I feel and I have this extreme guilty feeling that instead of any one of the people who have been killed by Voldemot should have been me! And I know you're just going to tell me differently, but I'm being honset."

Snape looked at Tara, quizically as she picked up her cup and put it down without taking a sip. "Is there something wrong?" he asked, wondering if perhaps she suspected him of slipping something into her tea.

George nodded. "Fairly well, I suppose. I don't think either of us is doing it to become the next Zonko or anything. We like to make jokes, we like people to use them... that's all. We like to create. The fact that we make money at it is a bonus." George was going to add more, but Ginny and Harry's raised voices drew his attention.

"I just want to know if you're going to do this after every set-back. Are you going to sit in the dark and bemoan your existence or are you going to fight back? Forget about the me part of this equation right now, because I feel like you're already doing that. Let's talk about you being ready to fight back." Ginny bit her lip and hoped she wouldn't cry.

"Hmm?" Tara asked, realizing Snape had spoken to her. "No, Professor, everything is fine. I must be a bit... tired, I suppose." She smiled at him apologetically and sipped her tea. It had cooled down and was the perfect temperature for sipping. Tara relaxed back into her seat a bit.

"Yes, it's been a busy night," he said, rubbing his mark through the sleeve of his robe with his thumb.

They sat in silence though, it was an uneasy silence and Snape felt he needed to say something before it smothered him. "Are you going to become a member?" he asked.

Harry sat up as he felt George and Hermione watching he and Ginny. He lowered his voice to a whisper and he could tell Ginny was holding back some sort of emotion. He took her hands in his, "Look, Gin... I'm sorry for being like this, I really am, and I'll try to... I don't know... be better in the furture, but I'd rather just not... talk about this right now." He nodded his head towards George and Hermione.

"I haven't decided yet," Tara answered honestly, looking up at him from over her cup of tea. Snape looked uncomfortable and as if he needed to be rescued conversationally. Tara wasn't feeling particularly charitable after having all her efforts so abruptly dealt with, and she considered letting this topic die as well. Instead, she bit her lip and averted her eyes, needing to put her mind at ease but dreading the answer. "Do you regret it, then?"

The tear slipped out before she cold stop it, and Ginny released his hand and rose to her feet. "You won't," she responded, looking down at him. Her head was tilted and her tear fell on his face. "You won't be better in the future and you won't want to talk about this. You'll just continue to hold me at a distance and love me from wherever it feels most comfortable. And the sad part is... I'll let you do that because I want to be with you. But right now..." She turned and found George right behind her, ready to embrace her.

"Regret it?" he repeated, unsure of what she meant at first.

He looked down at his arm. "Sometimes," he answered before looking up into her disquieted face, wondering if his answer would confirm or allay her fears.

Harry stood up, and walked over to Ginny and George. He knew not to mess with her, but especially not now when she was protected by her older brother. Harry seemed to have every reason for the twins to hate him. "Sorry," He said, simply, seriously considering retreating to his room for the night and forgetting the twins' camp out.

Tara's eyes immediately sought Snape's. "No, I meant..." she paused and let it fall, taking in what he had said. She put her hand on his arm, over where his Dark Mark lay. "The mistakes of an over-zealous youth? We all have those. Some are more permanent than others."

He placed his hand over hers, pulling it away from the mark, though he didn't let go of her hand. "And what was the mistake of your overzealous youth?" he asked, his voice quiet as he searched her eyes.

Ginny's expression softened. She was letting the emotion of the day and her frustrations make her take things out on the one she loved. "Its alright," Ginny whispered, although George bristled behind her.

Harry gave Ginny a weak sort of smile and a quick kiss on the forhead, "Good night... if you don't mind, I think I'd like to go to sleep now." He nodded to George and went back to his sleeping bag, settling in it and staring at the ceiling for a few minutes.

"I..." Tara hesitated. Snape was trusting her with a great secret, but it wasn't as if he had told her himself. Besides that, it was a secret that didn't just affect her, it affected someone else as well. Trying to think of something dismissive to say, Tara made eye contact with Snape. His dark eyes were on her, showing more expression than usual. Their warmth drew her words out of her. "I have a daughter. She's 8."

Snape just stared at her, his expression unchanging, though his mind raced. A daughter? Eight? Who? Where? Finally, he blinked, turned to pick up his cup of tea, took a sip, placed the cup back down, and turned back to Tara. Snape searched for something to say to this but, nothing appropriate seemed to come to mind. He decided the safest question would be something about this daughter... "Where is she?" he asked.

Tara wished she hadn't mentioned it. It hurt to speak of it. "She lives with my sister. Alanna, my sister, is raising her as her own. She said it would be for the best, because I couldn't take care of her when she was born, and it would be too confusing for her mother not to be with her," Tara tried to keep her voice steady and practical, but it broke her heart. "She does come with me to Italy though."

His brow furrowed as her voice trembled slightly. He felt... sorry for her? Though he was curious to find out more, Snape didn't feel it was his place to press her further, as this subject did seem quite private and painful. Before he knew what he was doing, Snape found himself sitting closer and his arms wrapping around her. "She's well cared for, then?" he spoke in a most uncharacteristic, soothing, voice.

Fred had been engaged in a long elaborate discussion of some plant Neville had did something with, while everyone else started settling in. But, at the sound of raised voices, Fred cut Neville short, ruffled his hair, and left his side. Fred sighed as Harry retreated to a corner. Things weren't going as Fred planned, but he had to admit that he like having everyone together...not being stuck in his room with nothing to do but relive the moment of finding Luna over and over in his head.
