A sallow-faced man dressed all in black apparated in the front yard of the Burrow and walked up the steps to the house. He knocked on the door and waited for an answer. He could hear the children inside and figured he would probably be waiting a while before anyone thought to answer the door. While it was true they had left school a year ago and that they were full-fledged members of the Order, Severus Snape would continue to think of them as children until they proved themselves otherwise.

While Hermione was tensing to Ron, she heard a knock on the door and told Ron she would be right back and not to faint. Seeing as Ron was in no state to answer his own door, Hermione did. she couldn't imagine who it could be... intil she opened the door. "Er... good evening, Professor Snape."

Granger was the one to open the door and as soon as she did so, he swept past her into the kitchen. He had only entered this home on one other occassion, also on business for the order. Looking around the overly bright and disorganized mess of a kitchen, he sneered in disapproval. "I need to speak with Arthur Weasley," he said, crossing his arms over his chest and staring down at Miss Granger.

Hermione was surprised quite a bit by seeing her old Potions professor here, but nonetheless, closed the door behind him and said, "Sorry, professor, I don't think he's here, right now, I think he may still be at work, sir..."

Ron stood unsteadily on the wall where Hermione left him. He bit his lower lip as he tried to stand up and walk towards the living room. He heard voices from the room. One voice was Hermione’s but he could not tell who possessed the other voice. The second voice - - not Hermione’s - - reminded him of someone that he did not like during his school days in Hogwarts School.

He felt a sharp pain from his parched left hand. He let out of a weak cry. Using his right hand, he obstructed the opening of his mouth so it would not allow unnecessary noises to come out. He strode towards the wall that divides the living room and the room he was in. He poked his head out gently and saw the visitor.

It was his abhorrent, always upset, Potions professor: Professor Severus Snape.

Ron!" Hermione said, turning around, "I told you to stay where you were! You are going to get hurt! Come on..." She turned to Snape and said, "I'll be right back, sir." She used her arm to support Ron and lead him into the living room, sitting him down on the couch, then saying firmly, "Stay here... and isyour father around?"

Ron skipped as he heard Hermione’s booming voice calling his name, giving him sermons. He almost fell down on the floorboards. Good thing he had a good firm grip on a sturdy Mahogany drawer behind him.

Shortly, he felt his best friend’s hand dragging him into the living room. As he passed his old Potions professor, his hand froze. He gasped, biting his lip. He didn’t want to permit any whimpering sound to come out. As soon as he sat down of the couch, he looked at the man in a black robe. He conferred Snape with a weak smile.

He listened attentively at his best friend’s second question. He shook his head, trying to say that his father - - Mr. Arthur Weasley - - was out. He, then, whispered, “He went to Devon to accompany Fred and George to get some ingredients for their joke shop.”

Snape sneered at his former students. He recognized the burn on Weasley's hand right away and wasn't the least bit surprised. He was never adept at potions, even if he wasn't as hopeless as Longbottom had been. He also wasn't surprised that Weasley was being an absolute whimp about such a minor injury. Pacing around the kitchen as he waited for Miss Granger to return, he observed his surroundings and hoped he would be able to leave soon.

"Okay, Ron, I'll be right back," Hermione said, turning to leave, but quickly turning back, "And once again, please don't pass out on me..." She was truly worried about Ron, as she hurried back into the kitchen to tell Snape what he had said

"Sorry, he's not here at the moment, Professor, shall I tell him you stopped by... ahould he owl you, maybe?" She asked, trying her best to be polite.

Just as Hermione finished her sentence through the door open and in walked Arthur Weasley wearing his traveling cloak and carrying a bag of something.

"Ah, Severus, how are you?" he asked looking at the scene of Hermione standing in the kitchen and telling someone not to pass out. "who's passing out?" he asked her.

"Oh!" Hermioen said as Mr. Weasley walked in, "Hello, Mr. Weasly, nice to see you ... no one's passing out... yet... Ron burnt his hand trying to make dinner, but... not to worry, I'm taking care of it."

She went back into the other room where Ron was lying on the couch. She went over and sat next to him, and asked, although she probably knew the answer to the question, "Are you alright, Ron?"

"Merlin's beard," Mr. Weasley said to Hermione, but he heard her say he would be fine and watched her leave to tend to him. "Don't let Molly hear about it Hermione," he added as she left. Then turning to Severus, "So....Severus, what brings you here" he looked around to make sure that no one was listening, "does the Order need to meet?"

Snape walked over to Arthur Weasley and walked as the children evacuated the kitchen. He spoke quietly, "No, the Order does not need to meet. However, Dumbledore thought I should stop by on my way..."

Snape stopped and watched the older man's face as a look of understanding crossed his features and then, continued. "Where is Mr. Potter? We believe the Dark Lord may be moving into position to effect an attack. It is imperative that he be under guard at all times until we can suss out exactly what it is that is being planned. I will hopefully have some answers by the end of the night," he said, all the time, his eyes watching out for young eavesdroppers.

Mr. Weasley knew exactly what Severus was reffering to and he too looked around to make sure that the others were out of earshot. "Well, Severus, I believe that Harry's gone to pick up my youngest, you know Ginny, she should have arrived at Platform Nine and Three Quarters by now," he said checking his watch, "should we try to get word to a Ministry Security detail to keep watch on him?"

Ron heard his father’s voice as soon as Hermione left him for Professor Snape. He looked up on the ceiling, thinking what was happening at the Platform. He hoped that Ginny would be all right and accepted the whole situation. He cleared his throat when his throat itched.

Hermione approached him and asked him. He smiled and nodded, “Yes I’m good. And I don’t have to sleep early because I want to help Elizabeth preparing the food.” He gazed towards the entrance used for the kitchen. He added, “Or wait for Ginny and Harry.”

"Ron... I don't think you should really be doing anything with your hands at this point, Elizabeth can make the food... I was really looking forward to you making something, but you can do it another night when you're more... er... able," She said, indicating his hand that was very red. She looked at it and the told him, "I'll be right back, we should probably put a bandage on that, now."

Hermione went to the bathroom, looking for some bandages, and when she found them, returned to Ron, and taking his hand in hers, wrapped his hand as delicately as she could with the bandage. "Does that feel any better... at all?"

"No, we don't want to get the Ministry involved at this time. I suggest you go find him and get him back here as promptly as possible. I would do it myself, except that would make me late for my previous engagement," he said. "I'll return with any further information, if we have any, after I've spoken with Albus. He doesn't want us to risk any form of communication other than personal conversations for the time being."

"Right" said Mr. Weasley to Severus, "I'll be right away with it, I'll notify Dumbledore upon my return," then he looked more seriously at Snape, "good luck with your...um...meeting Severus," and he turned to go tell Ron and Hermione what was going on.

Ron’s ears became crimson red. “But I have too…” Hermione interrupted him, giving her long lectures about his minor wound he was in. Shortly, Hermione left him to get bandages inside the bathroom.

He tried to stand up from the couch and he succeeded. He grinned, making few baby steps away from the seat. However, hearing footsteps coming from the area where Hermione entered, he purposely fell down the couch and acted, as he was doing nothing.

Hermione wrapped his hands with the bandages she got inside the lavatory. Grinning, he bobbed his head when she asked him about his hands feeling fine, after she was done wrapping it. He heaved a content sigh and inquired, “Where’s Harry? It’s been an hour and a half since he left.”

Hermione looked a little worried, "I don't know... maybe the train was late?" She thought about it, then said, "Well, if they're not back soon, I'll go to the train station and try to find them...though I didn't want to... interrupt anything..." Hermione didn't even want to think about Ginny perhaps getting violent with Harry. Although, she definitely had the potential to.

She glanced at Ron's hand again, "You're positive you're okay?"

Mr. Weasley went into the room where Ron and Hermione were and asked,"might I have a word with you two, there's been a .......a bit of a development"

Hermione turned around to see Mr. Weasley stanidng there, and upon hearing about a "development," she started to get worried, "What's going on, Mr. Weasly?" She asked.

Mr. Weasley looked at Ron and Hermione,"well it's not anything I can go into details about but I have to go and meet up with Harry and Ginny, I'll be bringing them back here by portkey," he looked for a reaction at the concerned faces
