I thought it was you, and I was so scared especially since the last time you got here.

I want to! And now that I know that it's just that pathetic John, I'll just best be off!

-=Draco then walked away from a disheveled looking Day and set off to the Library. He went there for some peace and quiet and for a good time to think.=-

Day walked down to the Great Hall after classes. She was starving. She wondered if that had something to do with the fact that she hadn't goten any sleep the night before. Strangely enough, she wasn't very tired. But, she was begining to relive the previous night in her mind; now that classes were over, she didn't really have anything to distract her from it.

Day sat down at the Slytherin table and began to pile food onto her plate. She shivered as she remembered some of the previous night's activities, and shunned the red meat on the table. Her hand absently rubbed her forearm, where the Dark Mark was hidden under her robe.

-=Draco shuffled his feet as he and his minions entered the Great Hall that night. He walked up to the Slytherin Table and spotted Day concentrated on a hefty pile of food. He sat down acroos her, with his minions on his side.=-

Hello! How did John do? I'm not asking because I care, but I just really want to know who hexed him. Was it you?

-=He casted a meaningful look at Day before deciding to grab some food also.=-

"Why does everyone just assume it was me? No, it wasn't. But, I'd really like to find out who did it. That spell was a piece of genius. But... you know what? I think it was a Gryffindor," Day said. "If I find out who cursed him, and it's a Gryff...."

A Gryffindor, eh? Well, finally, they accomplished something that pleases me, as well. And what would you do if the person is really from Gryffindor? As for me, I would congratulate him/her, no doubt.

-=Draco took a bite on a big piece of steak and he nearly choked.=-

Wa-t-t-ter... Wa-t-tter... D-day, gg-ive me w-ater...

-=Draco took the water goblet that Day had given to him. He drank it all up and noticed that the left arm that Day used to give him the goblet has something shining in it.=-

What IS that?

-=He cast an inquisitive look at Day, before looking at Crabbe and Goyle, who understood that they must leave.=-

Day adjusted her sleeve and tucked her arm under the table. Her face turned red and was suddenly very interested in her food. She shovelled in a few bites before mumbling, "It's nothing."

*Mattie had completely ignored the smart remark from Draco. But sHe wasn't really all that mad at him anymore..maybe she would say so later...Hmm..She went back to her dorm and checked on Hedwig, then went to sleep*

*Next Morning, she fed Hedwig, got dressed and went to go and fetch some breakfast. She entered the Great Hall and went and took a seat with Day. SHe still felt a little awkward around Day from yesterday's festivities, but decided to be as friendly as possible.*

"Good Morning Day...How's John? and what are you doing with you sleeve?"

Best be off. Me, Crabbe and Goyle have something to do.

Day watched Draco leave and continued eating. She loked up at Mattie's question. "My sleeve?" she asked and then looked down to see that she was still hiding her arm under the table, clutching the edge of her sleeve in her hand. "Um... nothing."

"Then why in the world are you holding your sleeve? *Mattie said with a smile, as she began munching on the muffins* What's going on with you Day? You can tell me, I mean...I trusted you with one of my biggest secrets ever...so...If you want to talk, you know you have me. But you don't have to..I'll understand that too..."

Mattie was right, she had entrusted Day with a big secret. Also, it was only a matter of time before John told his friends about her. Day couldn't believe she had told John, of all people.

Day glanced about the almost empty Hall. There was noone looking at them, so she gave Mattie a significant glance, then, under the table, she raised her sleeve to reveal the branded skin beneath.

*Mattie watched as Day looked around the Great Hall, and then looked under the table at Day's arm. She saw the Mark, the Mark of the Dark Lord. She opened her mouth, gasped, shut her mouth, then managed to get out the words in a whisper,

"Oh Day..you...I see...when?."

Day lowered her sleeve. "A couple nights ago. I actually got to meet him," she said. She was worried by Mattie's response; she wasn't as good at hiding her discomfort as Wyn.

Him? THE Him? Wow Day...I don't even know what to say...I mean wow...you're so young...and...what do you have to do? Or are you allowed to talk about that kind of stuff?

*Mattie was still in a state of shock. Day, a Deatheater, at such a young age. It was ludicrus. She would have to kill people, possibly Mattie herself, or some of her non Deatheater family, or friends, or....Harry....*

"I know. I didn't think I'd even have the chance until after I was out of here. But, I don't know what I'm supposed to do, yet. I mean, HE hasn't given me any instructions. But, I don't suppose I'll be able to divulge them once he does," Day said.

"Well, I'll have to carry out the tasks appointed to me, but I won't be able to tell you about them. Not unless," Day shuddered at the thought. She recalled the man from the other night and shook her head to rid herself of the memory.

"Nothing. I'm fine," Day said, looking away from Mattie who was a lot more perceptive than Day had ever given her credit for. The truth was, they hadn't done anything physical to hurt her, unless you counted the branding. But, she had never seen anyone tortured before and the memory of that man kept playing through her mind.

" Day?..Now look, don't take this wrong way or anything, or like try and curse me or something, but don't you think you'll regret this later? I mean what happens if your assignment is to kill me?or John? or Wyn? or....*she paused and said in barely an audible whisper* ..or Harry?"

"Oh, I wouldn't worry about me killing Harry, if I were you Mattie. The Dark Lord wants to do that himself," catching the look in Mattie's eye, she stopped that line of thought. "But, I don't see why he'd want me to kill any of you. That's not really my area of expertise, anyway."

*Mattie was a little taken aback at how lightly Day, her friend, was talking about killing people.Killing Harry. She knew this was a huge accomplishment in Day's eyes and probably that of her family's. But Mattie was having a real hard time grasping it.*

"I, well, Im at a loss of words, Day. Who else have you told?"

"Well," Day sais and looked away again. "John and Wyn." She still couldn't believe she told John. Well, he had caught her at a really bad time, Day supposed.

*Mattie was really floored at this. She was a little hurt that she had to pry it out of Day, and she openly told John, of all people.*
