"Draco doesn't like you?" Wyn blinked at Day in surprise. "I really thought... Well, I guess that narrows it down. By one person."

Wyn yawned hugely. "I want to go back to bed. I'm so tired. I guess I'll just have to go to bed early tonight."

The morning and afternoon classes flew by. Day, Jay, Wyn, and Harry were suprised to see themselves standing outside Snape's door for their detention.

Wyn rubbed her tired eyes. It was only early evening, but she was already tired and ready for bed. She hoped Professor Snape had something planned that wouldn't overly tax her.

Pushing the door open slowly, Wyn walked into the Potions dungeon, looking for Professor Snape. "Professor? We're here..."

"Sit down, please," Snape said, indicating two tables with two chairs each. There were a few jars on each table. The jars were filled with a yellowish liquid and there were...things... floating around in them.

Day walked in with Wyn and they sat at one table while the boys sat at the other. She peered into the jars and made a face. "That's disgusting," she whispered to Wyn.

Wyn followed Day to one of the tables, not waiting to see if Snape had specific seating arrangements in mind. If he did, he did. She peered closely at the jar of yellowish liquid and paled. What would he make them do?

Snape had turned his back to get some knives out of a cabinet while the students sat down. When he turned back around he gave them a dissapointed glare, "Come now... Surely you don't think the only purpose of this detention is for you to be put to work. Potter.. Darcy.. switch seats."

Wyn shot a worried look at Day. She didn't mind sitting with Jay, but she was loathe to leave Potter and Day together for any amount of time.

She crossed the room and slid into the seat next to Jay, averting her eyes from the yellow jar.

Day was ready to jump up and protest when she caught Snape's eye. He wasn't going to listen to any amount of begging and pushing him would only make him even more angry. She sulked as Wyn left the table and she slid her chair as far from Potter's end of the table as possible.

*Mattie had taken care of John and stayed with him till morning. He was looking so much better, and it sounded as if the nightmares had stopped...She thought,
"This is all wrong...Wyn should of been here taking care of him..It's obvious they've got it for each other...But I really don't mind, I guess..John is such a good friend..."

She was shooed off by Madam Pompfrey and she went and got ready for her classes. She finished all her classes of the day and decided to go for an evening walk outside on the grounds..She thought..
"I need to send an owl to Potter...but not now..I don't want to sound over anxious over someone I don't even really know yet..."..

*She made made her way down the stairs..and out into the night sky..*

Pansy groaned from under the bush and sat up. She looked around, wondering why it was dark all of a sudden. How long had she been under the bush? And why was she under a bush anyway?

A noise drew her attention, and she saw Mattie exit the castle quietly. Pansy put her hand to her head and tried to keep quiet. She didn't want the girl she had hexed to have a chance to see her in this position.

Wyn looked at Snape, ready for his instructions. The sooner they got started, the sooner they'd be done. She cast a glance at Jay, wondering how the Gryffindor golden boy felt about being in detention.

*Mattie continued walking, making her way to the Lake, humming to herself, practicing conversations she was going to have with Harry later during their Defense Lessons. She was close to the lake when she froze. She heard a twig break in the bushes behind her. Since the attack, Mattie had been a little jumpy, so she raised her wand, whipsered "Lumos", and called out*

"Wh..who...who's there?"

Pansy cringed as the light from the wand hit her eyes. She moaned loudly and clapped her hands over her face. Why did it have to be Mattie to find her?

*Mattie was in complete shock. She had no idea what to do. Here was the girl who had attacked her. Mattie wanted to hurt her, get some revenge. But how could she, when here laid pathetic Pansy on the ground, helpless. She yelled out "Expelliarmus" and caught Pansy's wand in the air. Mattie was taking no chances with her*

What are you doing out here lying in the bushes, Paaansy? Waiting to hex me again? Finish me off this time, you pathetic excuse of a witch?

It was already late in the evening when Johnathan woke up. He felt much better then the day before and his nightmares had stopped. Madame Pomfrey came over and checked him for a final time, she undid the bandages around his head and said he was all fine.

John got up and put his school dress robes on before leaving as he noticed Day had left in the morning before him. Johnathan walked out of the hospital wing and headed downstairs to the dungeons.

Pansy's head hurt and she felt like she might throw up. And that meek, nice Mattie girl was yelling at her. YELLING. How did everyone know she was the one who did the hexing anyway?

For some reason, Pansy didn't want to tell Mattie that Day had hexed her and left her under a bush. "I... I fell asleep?" she said, covering her eyes and swearing at herself.

"Pansy, do you take me for an idiot? As animal like and disgusting as you may be, I don't believe you "feel asleep" under a bush. Now, stand up and face me. I'm not going to hurt you unarmed...unlike you did with me, so stand...Now..."

Pansy struggled to her feet, but fell back to the ground. She stared at her dirty shoes in embarrassment. "I can't. I was hexed. I've only just woken up and..." She trailed off and continued to stare at her shoes.

*Mattie's tone changed completely at the news that she was hexed and hurt and had not been waiting there to hurt her again*

You..You were hexed? I know how that feels. Are..are you ok...?

*Mattie tucked away both of their wands behind her ear and went to help her stand*

"Who hexed YOU?"

Pansy allowed Mattie to help her from the ground. She hated to be weak and helpless, especially in front of this girl. And she really didn't want to incur the wrath of Day or remind Mattie that she was angry with her, so she waved off the question.

"It doesn't matter. I'll be fine. Can you just help me to the Common Room? Please," she added as an extra.

Pansy was at a loss. Why should she expect help from someone like Mattie when she herself had left the girl exposed and unconscious in the hallway?

"Because," Pansy whispered. "You're good. You're much better than me."

As soon as Johnathan entered the Slytherin common room he could feel every Slytherin's eyes upon him. He could see that what he did didn't go down to good with alot of them. 'Oh well!' He thought, 'I have my reasons!'

If Johnathan had his way he would never be in this house with a bunch of no good bunch. Most of themhad parents that were and still are death eaters and probably gonna be one themselves. Or some were just quiet and really wanted nothing to do with the dark lord.

Johnathan had no clue on knowing so he didn't dwell on it. He walked up to his room and lay in bed noticing a note on his bed. Johnathan looked at it and then opened it up to read.

*her thoughts flashed back to Harry and their upcoming lesson for a second then she added, *

Ok..let's get you back to the dorms...

*Mattie put Pansy's arm around her neck and began helping her to the castle*
