Day put the necklace on and looked up at Draco. "Thanks.. That was so thoughtful... I just don't know what to say," she said, closing her eyes as the world began to swirl again. She lay back on the pillow. She wasn't tired but, she just couldn't sit up any longer.

*John had drifted off back to sleep and Mattie had pulled the covers back up on him, when she over heard the words, "Borgin and Jorkes."..She couldn't hear the rest of the conversation, but as far as she was concerned, she had heard enough. Whatever Draco had given Day was obviously from the Dark Arts. But she had other things to worry about at the moment other than Day and her little buddy Draco..

She whispered to John, " Please wake up, John. Please..."

Day allowed Draco to help her and fix her bed. "Could you get some some parchment and a quill? And, can I borrow your owl?

I am Draco Malfoy, and you can't order me something like that! But here comes Crabbe and Goyle anyway.
-=Crabbe and Goyle entered the hospital wing and quickly went to Draco. He ordered somethings to them and they left. After a few minutes, they strode in with the quill, parchment and the eagle owl that Day was asking.=-

"Thanks," Day replied as she took the items in question, Draco's eagle owl perched on the end of the bed. She began to write a cryptic note:

Dear Mum,

I recently received a special note. I can't wait until the next Hogsmeade weekend. Please do what you can.

Love,
Datura

Day folded the note and handed it to Draco to attach to his owl's leg.

Day heard John muttering in his fitful sleep and smiled. Now if only her mother could arrange for her to meet with the Dark Lord before Hogmeade Weekend, she could rest peacefully. She couldn't wait another month or longer to find out what it was he wanted to see her about.

*Mattie was exhausted and stressed out to the max. She checked on John one last time then curled up at the bottom of his bed. She wanted to go back to the dorms, but thought she needed to be here with John, to protect him from Day, to take care of him. She had 8 million things running through her head, like Harry, her very good friend John was really ill, Harry, the situation with Pansy, and Harry. Not to mention she had missed all her classes thus far. And what was she going to do with Harry. When was there first lesson? She couldn't take it anymore. She laid there and cried herself to sleep*

Once Draco had left, Day slowly got up out of bed and quietly made her way over to John's bed. Mattie was asleep on the end of the bed and John was tossing fitfully in his sleep. Enough was enough. The other students may not think that Day had a heart, but she did. She couldn't bear to listen to John's suffering anymore. So, placing a hand on John's forehead, she muttered a countercurse, and collapsed onto the floor next to his bed.

Wyn attended her afternoon class, feeling keenly the loss of John and Day from the student body. Although she tried to ignore it, she also felt the mounting tension in Slytherin house. Most Slytherins, fiercely loyal, were enraged at John's actions - whether they supported Day or not. He attacked a member of his house, the ultimate evil.

Finally, when class was over, Wyn found herself at odds at where to go. The infirmary was an emotional roller coaster, but dinner would be pretty barren.

Skipping a meal yet again, Wyn puttered around the castle for a few hours, avoiding her house as well as others.

Wyn finally decided to head back to the infirmary.

Harry awoke in the middle of the night as he had the night before, he checked to make sure that Jay , Ron and the others were asleep, he quickly slipped his clothes back on and grabbing his father's cloak headed out of the room.....within minutes, he was back at the hospital room, he headed over to where Day was the night before and drew back her curtain, he was surprised to see that she wasn't there, "what...where..." he muttered silently to himself, he noticed that his flowers were still there and the bed had not been made....he walked around the bed and noticed one of Day's feet on the floor sticking out of the curtian, "oh no...please, no," Harry said as he hurried over to the curtain, he drew away the curtain to reveal Day collapsed below the bed that John was sleeping in. Harry had no idea what had happen but he placed his hand softly on Day's heart, she let out a soft gasp at his touch but didn't wake, Harry's heart jumped at the sound of life....he gently placed one of his arms under her neck and the other behind her kness and easily lifted her back into bed, he carefully arranged the blankets around her and made sure her neck was supported by the pillows, he then looked up at his gift from last night and, pointing his wand whispered a spell to change the roses to silver orchids with green edges....unlike the night before though this time he left a note that read...get well soon....

Harry stepped back and quietly looked at Day resting calmly then not knowing why, he leaned over and softly kissed her forehead and whispered..."I miss the fighting... then checking that his cloak was on correctly he returned to his dorm and fell into a deep sleep

Day woke up in her hospital bed the next morning. Madame Pomfrey must have found her on the floor and put her back into bed. She was feeling much better today, although she still felt a little drained. Looking over a tthe nightstand she saw that her roses were missing, but there were gorgeous orchids in their place. This time, there was a card and she read, "Get well soon." She turned the card over and couldn't find a name.... strange. Oh well.

Madame Pomfrey came by and fussed over her. She said Day could go back to her normal schedule as long as she promised to take it easy- and NO duelling.

Day walked down to an empty Great Hall and sat down to eat her breakfast. The pancakes were superb and she enjoyed the peace and quiet as she finished her meal. She wondered what Snape would have them do for their detention that night.

Snape had finished preparing for his classes the night before and was now contemplating how he would run detention that night. He already had the task, it was just how he would implement it. Snape wasn't sure if he should make them work individually with no speaking, or force Potter and Rosier to work together...

-=Draco forgot to go back to the Hospital Wing that night. But it didn't matter. He heard that Day is okay to leave the infirmary, and he was right. He found Day sitting all by herself on the Slytherin table, contemplating on lots of things and looking at the ceiling. He sneaked from behind Day and surprised her, which made her fall back from the chair. Laughing, Draco helped Day up.=-

What's the matter, Day? You're okay now, why do you look so sullen?

"You are so lucky that Professor Snape is making me check my wand at the door before entering the Great Hall, Draco. You scared the crap out of me!" she scolded. Then, Day pointed at the vase of flowers in front of her, "Tell me the truth. Are they from you?"

Harry, Ron and Jay walked into the Hall to eat, they turned towards the Gryf table as Harry noticed Day and Draco talking over at their table, it was then tht Harry noticed the flowers, "oh my she brought them with her," he thought to himself, then with a bit of a snicker thought, "bet it's just eating up ole Draco trying to figure out who sent them to her......" they sat down and dug into huge stacks of pancakes and crepes......

Day looked completely bewildered. "Oh... then who...?" That's strange.. Draco was the only person she could think of who might have sent them. She looked at the flowers and tried to think of all the boys she'd talked to over the years.

I wonder why Granger isn't with them. Maybe she finally realized that no mudbloods are allowed here.

Jay was pouring some more "imported" syrup on his cakes when he realized, "yikes, Harry, we've got detention tonight with Snape," he looked over towards the Head table to see if the Professor was there

Harry thought about it for a second and then looking over at Draco and Day just smiled a little and answered..."I know"
