Johnathan just stared at Day still trying not to laugh because of her circumstances with Potter. "Ahh..I see...hmmm I wonder who I'm partnered with? " He says as he looks closer for his name.

He then saw the owls and didn't care much because he barely got anything so he just kept searching for hi sname on the paper.

Guin laughed at Rons comment then went in her bag looking for her schedule. "Hmmm...I think I have Transfiguration first!" She says looking at the paper. "And you?" She asks putting it away again.

Day shook herself and took a few deep breaths. SHe had always loathed Potter but she had also always been able to control her temper and it irked her that she was behaving so foolishly; so like Draco. Probably spent too much time with him this summer.... "Look, I'm sorry Mattie," she said before heading up to the head table to chat with Professor Snape.

Ron grabbed the schedule that was crumpled up in his pocket and looked at it. "Transfiguration it is. Then Potions, I think. Bah humbug."

"Yeah we have Transfiguration together! "She said with a smile. "Oh look the mail!" She proclaimed as a letter dropped. "Ha its from dad" She opened it and read it as she drank some juice.

*Mattie waves off Days apology and said*

"Yeah...it's ok...Good luck with Snapeypoo"

*Mattie opened up her mail. The usual. Nothing fun. She threw it aside then looked over at John*

"No mail today, eh?"

"Um... excuse me, sir," Day timidly approached Snape, holding out the crumpled schedule. "But, I think there's been a mistake."

Snape took the proffered schedule and looked it over. "There is no mistake."

Day's eyes widened, "But sir, I can't be paired with Potter. It MUST be a mistake."

Snape sneered at her. "No, it isn't a mistake. This is part of your punishment for yours and Potter's display last evening. Now, go back to your breakfast."

Day's mouth hung open as she reluctantly went and sat back down at the Slytherin House table.

John looked at Mattie. "Umm no. I'm used to it." He said with a smile. "Hmmm...I believe I'm with....hmm that can't be right..." He says looking at it closely.

"Oh..who are you paired with, John?..I'm with Ron. I met him yesterday, so that will be ok."

*Mattie watches as Day reapproaches the Slytherin table*

"Well...what did he say?"

Harry and Jay nodded as Ron and Guin had sat next to them

"hey you two, we were beginning to wonder if either of you were coming", said Jay

Harry meanwhile was looking for a familiar owl and upon noticing Hedwig, reached up to catch a small flat package wrapped in simple brown paper, "thanks Hedwig, have some juice?"
but Hedwig just turned and headed for the boys dorm for some rest

"what's that," asked Jay

Harry tucked the small package into his robes and whispered, "later"

"I can't change. It's part of our punishment for last night," Day pouted, while pouring herself some juice. She didn't think she'd be able to keep anything solid down.

*Mattie patted Day on the shoulder quite awkwardly. Day didn't seem like the type of person whom wanted to be touched, but Mattie went ahead anyways.*

"Well, maybe it'll work out for the best. You two will be so competitive, that I bet you two make the best grades on your N.E.W.T.'s. Everything happens for a reason Day."

Day forced a smile, "I s'pose." SHe continued to swirl her orange juice in the glass, rather than drink it.

Wyn came down the table to where everyone else in her year was sitting. She supposed they hadn't sat with her as some sort of punishment for letting a Gryff near the table. She sat next to John.

"What's going on?" She picked up the schedule laying on the table.

Johnathan noticed Wyn sit beside him. "Wyn!" He yelled. " I missed you last night..i went looking for you after you left but you went up to the dorms." He told her.

"Oh this...it's who were paired for N.E.W.T.S." he told her.

Day put down her glass and, putting her elbows on the table, ran both hands through her hair.

Wyn smiled at John and leaned against him. He was such a good friend to her. "I just needed to be alone. I'm okay."

She pulled out her schedule. "So... who are you paired with then?" She spotted Day practically pulling her hair out. "That bad, huh?"

Day looked up at Wyn, trying desperately to forget about Friday and the seething rage inside of her. "I'll be okay," she whispered, not realizing she had said it aloud.

Wyn saw the anguish in Day's eyes. Her own eyes went to the forgotten piece of paper clenched in her own hand.

"I'm with... John." Her eyes darted to her friend, and she perked up. That would be pretty fun.

"Day, you're welcome to meet with John and I. We can create a barrier or something between you and Potter."

"I can't," Day whined. "Snape said it's part of our punishment. I wouldn't be surprised if they had someone supervise us to make sure we were working together."

*Mattie was wishing she had kept her mouth shut. She didn't want to bring up the "thing" between John and Day*

Wyn agreed with Mattie. "Or... like a, a study group or something. Where several groups come together and..." She made a face.

"You don't mind, do you John?" she didn't wait for an answer and missed his slight scowl.
