almost as if he felt something nudge him, Harry looked over towards the Slyterhin table to see Draco and others huddled together, "I wonder what they're going to be like this year, I still can't believe the Headmaster allows offspring of those trashy Death Eaters to attend this school"

*Mattie starts to wave at Harry, then sees the looks from Day and Wyn and thought it not wise. So Mattie just simply watched him as he talked with Ron*

Wyn saw the sheer animosity in Day's look towards Harry Potter. While Wyn was merely annoyed by his existence, she didn't hate him. In fact, she rather admired him for his sheer passion in pursuit of all things good.

Unable to control herself, Day rushed over to Harry, looking like hse was going to punch him or something before she stopped short. "So nice of you to join the simpleton's Mr. Potter," and she proceeded to get on her knees in mock worship. (Draco and pals roared with laughter)

Jay jumps up, "knock it off Day be fore I..."

Harry quickly steps over to grab Jay's hand which he knew was clinched to his wand, "Jay stop!", he said shortly then lowered his voice, "not now, not here, there's too many teachers,"
then looking at Day, "Hello Day, I expect you learned more over the summer than that..." some of the Gryffindors laugh cautiously....

*Mattie shakes her head. She hated the way the Slytherins treated Harry. She was not from a DE family, but she had always fit into Slytherin. But she was quite fond of the famous trio. They we're just so good. She knew that John felt the same way she did, and that's why they were such good friends. Mattie continues watching the scene taking place at the Gryffindor table with a huge frown on her face*

Day got up and glared at the Gryffindors, her hand hovering over her wand. She looked back at Harry and smiled, a sickly sweet smile, "Have a good summer?"

Wyn cautiously approached the Gryffindor table, shadowing Day's earlier movements. She was all about the interhouse rivalry, but this was not the place. She really didn't need to be assigned detentions on her first night back.

She smiled appeasingly at Jay as she moved so that he couldn't get to Day, leaving the girl and Potter to face off alone.

Harry looked at Day not sure what she may be up to and not letting his guard down said in an artificially polite voice, "yeah, I did, you?"

Jay saw Wyn moving around Harry and catch his eye, he tried to let her on that he didn't hold her responsible for Day's foolishness, "Wyn?"

"Oh yes, it was fabulous. I spent some nice quality time with Lucius," and with that, she walked back over to the Slytherin table and sat down (surprisingly not going to sit by Draco).

Wyn blinked at Day heading back to the Slytherin table, her own hand still hovering over her own wand. She was left standing between Potter and Jay, looking a little foolish.

"I'll just... go now," she murmured, blushing deeply.

*Mattie begins fumbling with her food, not sure what to say to Day about her little show she just put on.*

Day took a bite of food, her gaze still on Potter. She had a clear view- pointing her wand under the table she muttered something and Harry went flying into the backs of his fellow Gryfindors- causing food to go flying and Gryffindors to be covered in food.

Wyn stepped back as Harry suddenly took off from the floor in front of her, flying into the Gryffindor table. Pudding splattered over her robes as she looked in disbelief at a very calm Day tucking her wand out of site.

"That was brilliant work," she thought to herself.

Jay, who was looking at Wyn about to ask her a question, yelled as Harry fell on him spilling his food,"Harry, what the heck, mate?"

Harry instinctively jumped to attention, his eyes blazed at Day who was grinning, the whole Slytherin table roaring, his hand clenched tight on his wand, he then broke his glare from Day towards Dumbledore who seemd to notice exactly what was happening, Harry thought to himself, "uh huh, I see she's picking up some of mommy and daddy's tricks"

Ignoring the commotion at the Gryffindor table, Day continued to eat her food calmly.

*Mattie stands up to look over at Potter and see if he is ok. Then sits back down wondering what how many nights detention they were going to get for that little display*

The professors look at Wyn, still standing by the Gryff table and wearing pudding on her robes.

"I wasn't even touching my wand!" she protested. "You can't possibly think that I'm responsible for that!"

She cast a pleading glance at Potter and Jay, both of whom had been standing near her.

Harry looked over at Wyn covered in pudding, "sorry about that but you might want to thank your friend over there, in fact why are you still standing here?"

Jay looked away from Wyn and trying not to giggle about the pudding said, "leave her out of it, Harry, I'm sure she didn't have any idea Day was up to no good, I don't think she would have" he motioned to her robes, "wanted to wear my pudding,", he finished and started helping Wyn clean her robes.

Seeing that the Gryffs were just brushing it off and the professors had turned back to their meals, Day pointed her want once more and Harry broke out into a jig.

Harry pointed his own wand at his own legs and whispered, "finite", then he looked back at Day and against his better judgement he pointed his wand at Day and said petrificus totalus

"Harry , no!", yelled Jay, but it was too late

Wyn slapped Jay's hands away as he tried to help her clean off the pudding. "Hands to yourself, Gryff," she tried to sound brave, but she really wanted to get back across the room to her table and possibly hide under it.

Potter started to dance a jig behind her, and Wyn jumped out of the way of his flailing limbs, running soundly into Jay.

Day felt herself freeze up and she fell to floor, unable to move. Not only did he have to take away her father, but now he had to embarrass her, too.
