Marissa she looked at Hermione, well she was being just as rude, so she had no problem with it, you get what give. "Sure... not that this murder even really concerns you... so I'll let you three continue with your meal... and on a side note, talk about me all that you want once I leave... I know your ways" she gave a sarcastic smile and walked away but stopped...

"Oh! If it isn't mr. I hate every Gryffindor, at the Gryffindor table, rather ironic, I suppose I should add." she said smiling obviously enjoying herself... little sleep and stress was not a good work load for her, as she found out. Just made herself a sarcastic... "Have you come to finally open your mouth, or merely just to stare at Miss. Granger here?" she questioned.

Sorry...*sigh* I read this part wrong. I thought it said he walked up to the Gryffindor table. It's what I get for reading too fast.

Harry scowled at the boy and muttered, under his breath of course, "Leave it to a Slytherin to play dumb. They are so very good at it." He turned back around to his food and resolved not to acknowledge the next person he could feel staring into the back of his head.

"Murder?" asked Hermione, looking at the girl. "What do you mean murder? Nothing has been said about it being a murder." She studied the girl, ignoring her snide comments. She really did know more than she was about to let on. She allowed her eyes to remain impassive, no emotion of thought could be detected through them.

Ron was now rather indignant. Since his mouth was full of food, he was practically spitting bits of bacon in Marissa's direction. "Murder?! Whatever that was, that's completely off! Malfoy has dissapeared, but you know it would take a lot of evidence to say he was dead (unfortuately). I haven't seen a body around, so the only murder around here is my brain cells by your rot!" Ron ignored Harry other than a brief greeting when he arrived, too fixtated with this girl even to remember that he was a prefect.

Gideon glanced at the Gryffindor table to see a tall prefect almost practically yelling his brains out at a girl, who looked sinde. Next to him sat...hey, famous Harry Potter! Despite what he'd heard from his family members and relatives, Gideon was decidedly neutral towards the boy who lived. So he's famous. So he's the only one to survive a Death Curse. Fine, but can he take a joke?

However, all thoughts on pranking Potter were doused when the mail arrived. A great horned owl swooped down to the Ravenclaw table and dropped a scarlet letter in Gideon's empty plate, then took off to avoid the blast that was sure to happen. Gideon's eyes widened, then he shouted after the owl. "Warrington! How could you do this t'me?!" He wailed dramatically, before regarding the now smoking letter. A look of mischevious determination crossed his face, and he glanced at his curious Ravenclaw mates at the table. "Clear! Ev'ryone clear! This is not a drill!"

Knowing all too well Gideon's crazy tendencies, all Ravenclaws within five seats of the Howler immediately vacated, and Gideon himself pulled out a single Fillibuster wet-start firework from his pocket, lighted it by dunking it in his morning pumpkin juice, and ducked under the table, fingers in his ears.

"Three--two--one--"

There was a deafening bang as both the Howler and the firework simultaniously detonated, effectively demolishing Gideon's plate and scorching the table. A loud banshee voice wailed from the Howler, yet it sounded sinisterly familiar...

"GIDEON, YOU NAUGHTY LITTLE BOY...YOUR MOTHER ISN'T PLEASED AT ALL...GET IN LINE OR ELSE IT'LL BE ANOTHER LITTLE VISIT SO THAT THE LESSON WILL SINK IN..."

Gideon seemed to quail under this new magnified voice. "Oy, Merlin...I thought it was jus' my mom..." He lept up from under the table, banged his head, cursed, then pounded the shrivelling ashes of the Howler with a nearby salt-shacker. Only when the voice died out did he turn to the staring students and staff in the Hall and shrug sheepishly. "Heh...you know how they are. Aunts."

Default Welcome Harry!

Nott watched the scene rather humored even if he had many thing to say to miss "you hate me because I'm Gryffindor even though I am just a little perfect self". OK, Theo, that was lame. He knew when to keep his mouth shut, if he could manage for a little longer he will be fine. Back to hearing to other people's conversation; the Weasley had a point - who would know behind that thick skull opperated a fullworking brain? Now now, Theo, don't go replacing Draco's part yet. As Weasley said, there was no reason to think something that grave happened to him. Mind, what Marissa said made him a little edgy. He knew Draco of too little... who would have thoght he had grown rather attatched to him in a so brief space of time? He shook his head. Attatched or not Draco didn't deserve to die. Sure, somewhat dumb at some point but surely an innocent kid. He had never done anything to deserve it, he didn't - and even if he did! No, no one deserved dying. But then again, should he trust this strange theory?

There was no rest of Draco being there. There was nothing. Only that strange bird-monster. Yes, Theodore would go for the girl's story. I was far more believable. It was a rue story with no interests playing - not trying to look like a hero or something, and once again, it was Weasley the other witness... Weasley... the same only minutes before had said Draco was not dead, maybe trying to dizzy the Aurors? It was only too convenient there was only two witnesses (well, one was counting a third witness; him) and their description being so different. He would bet his money Ron Weasley had something to do with it... Yes, Weasley had reasons to do it... he must have do it...

Rage started to sweal in his chest, sure to have his man so quick. But who would believe him? He was a Gryffindor Prefect. Bloody hel-l, why didn't he realize before! Theodore was clunching in his fork so hard his hand as whole was turning pink-pale. He was so furious...

BANG!

Nott was so surprised his heart had stopped beating.

A small shake in the ground could have alerted the birds nexting in the top of hte castle. But it didn't. It only got the attention of one too perceiving Headmaster who, who knows what powers did he posses, but he indeed knew what was happening. He had delivered a quick message to Professor McGonagall to attend the issue with the Ravenclaw troublemaker and find a suitable punishment in detention. Sure thing, he didn't need to ask for htose things as Minerva was already fuming, making her way through the crowd, but Albus had a way to make things, and that involved having a more stern professor in change - poor Professor Flitwich didn't fill out the requirements, he was afraid.

"Where were us, Cornelius?" Dumbledore said, returning to his seat. He knew this will not be the last he heard about young Gidgeon - as in, Expulsion was just a couple of pranks away, and she knew Minerva would make sure to pass the message to the young troublemaker.

She couldn't help but laugh, "Wow you guys do actually listen to me, which indeed proves you want more info as well, and you do care where he is... and maybe deep down care about him." she loved playing with peoples minds, so easily manipulated... and those that weren't were just kind of fun to argue with.

She paused, what had happen, what was the bang she looked around, she just took a seat next to Ron, as she looked around and took in everything that was going on... rather this was important or not, she didn't care, it would be important later.

Hermione looked across the table at Marissa in wonder as she sat down. What exactly was up with that girl. "Are you trying to say that we are inperceptive?" Hermione challenged the girl. "Of course we 'listen to you'. Are you trying to write us off as ignornat?" She studided the girl subtly, not enough to seem that she was staring. She knew a lot, she had to. The way she talked, held herself. Or, she could be messing with them. Even so. She gave no information. They wouldn't give any.

What that bang was, Hermione wondered. She shook her head. Dumbledore didn't find it important. Which wasn't much consolation as he was completely writing off the whole Draco thing.

ooc: Do I get to RP McGonagall? Joy, joy...

Gideon grinned sheepishly at Professor McGonagall as she stormed down the length of the table towards him. The other Ravenclaws, having enough sense, edged away from the immediate vicinity to settle down elsewhere along the Ravenclaw table. Except for a few accusatory glances, they said nothing, since Gideon had done them all a great favour last year in paying for all the Skivving Snackboxes they required to get out of Umbridge's classes. He was also responsible for several Dungbomb attacks in the hallways and was trying, perhaps too hard, to fit into the vaccancy left by Fred and George Weasley.

"Honesty, Proffesor, it was jus' the Howler...I didn' open it in time--"

"Indeed!" Thundered McGonagall. "Perhaps you should explain yourself as to how it managed to cause such a noise? Someone could have been seriously hurt!"

"Well, 'cept for the plate, nobody was--"

Neverless, Gideon managed to land himself in detention once again, and as a bonus twenty points from Ravenclaw was deducted. This got his housemates muttering behind his back. "Don' worry, I'll be an angel in Charms," Gideon said, grinning, wondering what kind of detention he'd have this time as he was hauled off to Professor McGonagall's office.

Ron watched the proceedings at the Ravenclaw table in surprise, completely forgetting his anger at the girl. "What do you think that balmy kid was up to?" He asked nobody in particular.

"No not really, just merely making comments me to myself" she said sarcastically, she turned to Ron "No clue, I was wondering the same thing" she scanned the area looking for anyone who seemed to be hiding something, someone who just stood out at her... there were confused faces everywhere, but after a minute or so many returned to there plates and food. "How can people drop things so easily? How can they not care!" she said mainly to herself...

"Big bangs, and Malfoy disappearing though people claim he at his house and had permission... uh huh, explains everything that happened" she sighed "Is everyone in this school so careless as not to even think twice about weird events, yes there quite normal and frequent here, but shouldn't we still pay attention to all of them, expecially with recent events?" she looked up, why was she talking to Hermione and Ron, they could care less..

"Hogwarts is expected to have strange happenings," Hermione said darkly. "That's why no one notices anything. They all expect these things to happen. How many things have we encountered each year that you've never counted on happening, and yet they still do? Second year and the Basilisk? Third year.... fourth year, Voldemort came back and Cedric died. And that happened because of a Portkey placed on school grounds and an imposter Professor. So, of course nobody else is going to supsect anything."

Her eyes flashed darkly and she looked around a bit. It was true though. They always expected the unexpected to happen. Nobody was overly surprised by things anymore. And, what was a little Boom? It wasn't something suspiscious, unless you were searching for the suspiscious.

"We've all seen enough, really," Ron remarked. "Too much. I think everyone's just gotten desensitized to all of it. Unless You-Know-Who suddenly appeared right here right now, or a couple of trolls were tearing apart the castle, I doubt they'd notice." He finally turned to Harry. "Harry? Yo, mate." He waved his hand in front of Harry's face. He seemed more quiet than usual.

Harry started when Ron waved a hand in front of his face and nearly bit off the other boy's finger in sudden reaction to the movement. "Sorry, Ron," Harry said, rubbed his eyes and forehead with his hand furiously. "I'm barely even away. Bloody scar kept me up all bloody night. Achin' something awful, it was."

ooc- just for the record... you can both die and be expulsed from Hogwarts in the RPG

(The chatting has resumed quite easily after the disruption from the Ravenclaw kid. Theodore did this 'ha!' noise at seeing him retreat with 20 points taken off them but surely thinking that kid should be put away with key were he could hurt no one. Honest, what was he thinking? Theo shrugged trying to resume to his thoughts. The conversation around him had gone quite uninteresting, he thought as he played with his food some. Still, for some reason, he couldn't stop listening this particular group only meters away, the food growing colder...)

Having heard the last of the group of Gryffindors' conversation, Theodore Nott turned, not caring any more about remaining like a good, well-put Hufflepuff and intruding into the chatting, "But you did notice, didn't you?"

Attracting the eyes of various people in the vecinity, Theodore eyed the group and added with some hesistation, "You said no one noticed," he smirked in mockering, this time looking at Harry and while bitting on a piece of bread in his hand, "like with you, no one even would be too worried about a Dark Lord scar-link hurting, do them Potter?"

He smiled widder as Potter turned to him as well, "Oh are you wondering how I know about the link, are you? Well, that you get when you are son of a Dead Eater, isn't it? A little more knowledge than the average."

Harry stood up, now thoroughly angry, and threw his fork behind him so hard that it stuck in the table right next to Ron's hand. "Listen, Nott," he said, "No one cares if your father's a Death Eater and no one cares about my scar except for your, now sod off!" His piece said, Harry turned around and stomped out of the Great Hall, no longer hungry or tired

Theodore blinked. "Then you hold a much greater concept of me than the common student, if you think I care about you or your scar. And on the dead eater side, I'm afriad you only speak for yourself." He took a bit of this bacon and talked though the mouthful, "being a Dead Eater's son is quite of high relevance."

Proves how little this kids realized about the power of public speech. On the other hand, it looked like Potter hadn't heard a thing. He, quite surpringly, walked out the discussion without further notice, Nott watching his departure quite puzzled.
(Who would know Potter was a dramma queen, he mentally processed.) He asked absent minded, "what's with him?"

Maybe he was wrong to think they cared more than the average.

[Marissa just sat there. What was with these kids? too many hormones she thought to herself. "Uh huh, well that was interesting, was it not?" Harry was always a tad... disturbed by the whole voldemort will kill me thing and his scar, but Marissa believe that he was only making it worse by thinking that... he needed to just get some time away from everything and maybe away from all this weird junk... but she could leave that to Hermione and Ron.

She turned to Theodore, "May I speak with you?... alone?" she asked, there was no way she was going to speak in front of the other two, they could care less, anyways.

Theo stared, one eyebrow raised, smiling humored at the request as would a person that felt they were hitting on him (ooc- I confused myself). So Miss Caring wanted to have a word with him? No further thinking needed, he made up his mind - "sure, why not?"

He stood from his spot at the Slytherin table and towards the Griffinor dinning table. He made an inviting gesture, offering the space for her to lead the way out.

Honest, what could this girl do to him other than attempt to hex him? Besides, he was curious as to what this girl would say. There was this small bother in the back of his mind, as in, he was running out of allies.

She walked by him, after he approved and moved aside for herself to move through, she walked out the great hall doors and towards the outside, and paused and turned around to face him. "Ok, I know we aren't exactly on the best of thems, or even 'terms' for that matter. But I am here to talk about two things, possibly more once I get rambling" she smiled, trying to loosen the tension that was floating about in the air.

"First and foremost, do you know anything about this whole Malfoy thing, you were friends with him, not to mention a Slytherin, I can only hope that you trust me, that I need to gather all the information I can from a real source, and I am going to try to trust you... and your information." she pasued he looked tense, as if she was about to try and kill him, "er... are you ok? For Slytherins being all this and that you sure look worried, and kind of pale" she said somewhat sarcastically. "Anyways thats beyond the point, I really do need to know what happens rather you believe me or not. And if you just think I want to nose my way into information, at least trust me, that I won't tell anyone else. I am not a slytherin I am loyal, hence the Gryffindor house. I am not trying to save my own back but more or less others."

She stopped what she was about to say next she couldn't believe that she would actually, "I just think maybe we could get to know each other, I know we come from different families and different houses, heck the total opposite houses, but maybe we could at least talk." she lowered her voice and her hands shook "We aren't on first term bases here, but do you even want to be a death eater? Do you even care for your father, and think that death eaters are all that? From what I see you are hiding. Your hiding behind your fear" she stopped to allow him the chance to talk.

Nott had this sudden urge to laugh, the attempts from the girl in front of him having him quite humored. Indeed, he couldn't help a small snort.

Nott's expression changed oh so suddenly. He was looking quite more serious, and why not, pale.

Yeah, loyal to a Slytherin, Nott had the sudden urge to laugh again. He looked at the girl but still didn't speak. This was not what he was looking for. But why not? It could help.

Typical Gryffindor conversation. Nott didn't know if to feel offended. A rather little, he should, but he had better things to consider than just defending himself from tactless accussations. Noticing she was over, he performed his answer.

"Why don't you cut straight to the point and ask me what you want from me, what information you are interested in," he retorted in one rythmical reply. "If you want to know about Draco but it's something I cannot tell then making friends with me wouldn't change a thing. On the other hand I am not interested in keeping other people's secrets."

He looked at the girls eyes, noticing to her he must not be making too much sense. With a quite more relaxed and acceptant voice, he expressed, "Look. I... don't need enemies, and I don't discuss my personal life with strangers. Do you want me to say I completely despise Dead Eaters and their way of thinking? Or that I would walk away from my group of friends, from my future and family, because I don't agree with their philosophy? I'm sorry to say that's not happening. On the other hand if your care is true and while we don't get in each other's way, I don't see why we couldn't have an alliance of some sort. Don't make me kiss muggleborns and I won't try to convince you that muggles are scum."

He paused. "So either ask me or I'll be gone." He turned around, the dungeons being only stairs away.

"But, just for the record," he said, not turning to her, not allowing her to see his face, "... I do not wish to be a dead eater."

When he turned back again he had this hard cold expression, waiting for Marissa's answer.

She smiled knowing that she had finally got through to him, and was more or less pleased with herself, she had in mind that this job was going to be about ten times harder, though he still was being stubborn, was that part of the definition in Slytherin? Meh, that was beside what she needed to know though, she would wait for a less serious time, she watched him turn away from her...

"You know, you just can't keep running and hiding all your life, it won't do you any good, and you will regret it later on. Yeah Slytherins seem to have a tendency to just run and try to save there own neck, but if you don't want to, then don't. I am not your little conselor here, so I am not forcing you upon anything, but I am just stating that if you continue to run away, nothing good will come out of it. Yes right now everything seems perfectly fine, but just wait till your older... wait to see what comes out of it..." her tone was rather stict and harsh but had a certain kindness in though, almost as if she really did care.

She took a few steps towards him, and then continued "What wil will you tell me? If anything? I want to know all of what you know, but I see that will be mission impossible, so i'll settle for anything, but I believe that you admitting that you will face your problems is a tad bit more serious then m finding out what happened..."
