Welcome to the Mad Eye Moody Fan Club (MEMFC). Here you will find anything and everything on Mad Eye from the Harry Potter series. We will also discuss aspects of our favorite character from the books and movies, share graphics, plan events, tell stories, and as many other activites as we can think up. Of course, all SS rules will still apply and be sure to check out the Fan Club Forum rules which describe how to join. We will be updating the member and officer list in this post as well, so keep checking back in the future.

Fanclub Fanfic


The month of July is just around the corner and we need a little help to kick off the celebration. It’s time to put on your Thinking Cap and gather your black rimmed Harry Potter glasses for a month of fun and writing. Being part of the Snitchseeker Fan Clubs, the Admins and Mods have come up with a bit of fun with spectacular roles for all Fan Club members to enjoy and take part in.

As you know, Deathly Hallows is the seventh and final novel from the Harry Potter series. What if you, the members, could write the final book the way you see it or the way you would like it to end? Well, the time has come to hear your side of the story as told by your favorite Fan Club character in ‘Fanclub Fanfic’.

What we need from the Fan Clubs right now is for you, as a team, to agree on a topic or storyline for your character. You may participate in more than one Fan Club, it is all up to you, just as long as you have fun. Start a thread within the characters forum or have a discussion in the thread and have everyone post their thoughts and contributions to the story, to see where the novel would start and end.

6. All fanfiction and SS rules apply. Your fanclubs fanfiction will be of SS rating Sa9+

Constant vigilance was the first thing that popped into Alastor Moody's mind each morning as he woke up. It was the phrase that echoed in his brain as he made himself a cup of tea and waited for his porridge to warm; it was the phrase on his mind as he peeped out his window to spy on the neighbor's dog as it took a poo; it was the phrase he mouthed to himself in the mirror as he brushed his teeth; it was the phrase he hummed as he ran a comb through his tangly silver locks.

Constant vigilance.

This morning, like every Mad-Eye morning, Moody was spying on his neighbor's Labrador when he noticed the dog sniffing a dark, shifty lump in the grass by his fence. It was one of Moody's secretly placed dark detectors and as he waved his arms to scare the pup off, he caught a whiff of something smoking through his kitchen - the porridge! In all his watching of that dog, Mad-Eye had neglected his own breakfast and his old motto.

I guess you can’t teach an old dog constant vigilance, Moody thought, smiling as he shook his grizzly head at himself.

Alastor "Mad Eye" Moody was the kid that everyone loved to pick on. Nobody really understood why, but he was the boy whose chair always had a whoopie cushion or even a tack on it waiting for him to sit upon. Even his closest friends would feed him canary creams, ton tongue toffee or puking pastilles, who knows why? Maybe they just wanted a laugh, and poor little Alastor was funny.

After a while Alastor started getting more and more cautious and became very suspicious of everyone who came near him. "Would you like a candy?", a girl would ask him innocently, and he would respond with "Constant Vigilance!" and walk away from her. Those two words became his motto, and no doubt were greatly responsible for him never having a real girlfriend during the years he was attending school.

Now, some might go so far as to say that our little Alastor grew downright strange as an adult, growing more cautious than ever with age, but there's one thing you can say for him. No matter what happened, he always practiced CONSTANT VIGILANCE!

They were on a special mission, talking when ordered not to was NOT allowed. With his eyes, especially the moving one he saw their every movement. But there was this particular man that did NOT follow his instructions. Did he think he could get away with it?!

“So dude, like what’s up? That guy with that eye looks like a robot… Robot, geddit?” the new Auror said to another with a chuckle. Alastor quickly walked up to him and raised his walking stick right above the man’s head and smacked it. Smacked it hard, hopefully knocking some sense into him. Then he glared at him with his big… mean… SCAARY… moody eye!

“Oii, shut yer mouth or you’re out of this mission,” Alastor threatened, his voice in anger. He turned away from them and looked on ahead.

“Have some constant vigilance people!” he repeated.

It's Mad-eye Moody that has always been one of my very favorite characters. His presence in the books is not only a serious one, but a silly one at times too.
He remains one of JK's most imaginative characters. His presence- stern, cautious, powerful- is something I very much enjoy reading. He is one of the reasons I'm in love with the books.
