Right, his eye. How do you guys think his eye worked in Umbridges door? Mad eye could see out of it and it must have sent some sort of info to his brain, but how would that work in the door?

Well, if he's dead. I don't think that the eye really could send info to his brain. It'd be kinda complicated. Maybe not, if he was actually still alive.

I think the eye was there to scare the propaganda writers, make sure they worked hard because they thought Umbridge was always watching them through the eye. I think if she'd actually been able to use it personally she would have kept it with her, sort of like a portable sneakoscope.

That's just the impression i got anyway.

I don’t really have any other thoughts on the eye in the door. I agree it was probably placed there to scare the workers.

Hmm... I certainly like the idea of it being to scare off the press, but I think it's more or less because of how paranoid Moody is. Maybe the reason he lost his eye is because someone snuck up on him and when he turned around BLAST! No more eye.

So, he got an eye that could see in every direction and through things.

It all stems from the job..... from the paranoia.
