Alright, I've talked with Daphne and she is going to be starting a graphics competition shortly. I am hoping everyone participates! Okay?

Discussion:

First off, you have to remember that Moody is a retired Auror, so he wouldn't go back to work for the Aurors. He only works for the Order. I think that had he survived at all, then he would continue to lead his life in retirement.

He was an older character-- probably in his sixties--- I think. Possibly older. You have to remember that Wizards age slower than Muggles.

I'm positive he would have gone back to fight, but I highly doubt that saving Fred would have happened. You have to think about where in Hogwarts Moody would have been. I think he would have been with Tonks and Lupin--- this is just my guess. I don't think Tonks would have died if he'd survived because I think he would have saved her, sacrificing himself in the process. However, I do think that had he survived he would just go back to living a quiet life. Nothing too exciting or dangerous. He's had enough of that.



Do you guys want to move on to a different game now???? I think it's time we do that!

Disscussion-Aria, you're right. Now that I think about it, Moody probably wouldn't do anymore Auror work after the entire battle. He'd probably live the rest of his life through retirement. He was only ever faithful to the Order. He'd probably still come back though if there was a threaten in the air, like if there was a "New Voldemort", although I highly doubt that. And if that did happen, chances are, Moody would've passed away...

Yeah, if he had continued living and been at the war at Hogwarts, chances are, there will still be many deaths. Like Fred. Moody can't be at so many places at once and he'd probably be with members of the Order. Like Remus and Tonks, just like what Aria said. There might've not been a chance that Moody would be able to prevent Tonks' and Remus' death, but that is likely.

I don't think he had much of a family life. I think he probably loved someone that was killed, causing him to mistrust and be more focused on his Auror duties. Maybe that's why he seemed to care for Harry, because he didin't have any children of his own.

That would make sense. His loved ones being killed, he would need to be distracted to such thoughts, by focusing on his Auror duties, making his to raise his voice at times. I think that why he might not have cared so much for Harry, was because, maybe he did have kids. Maybe he had become so attached that it hurt him when, well, when they supposedly died. He probably didn't want to go through that anymore and decided to not get attached to Harry, in case something ever happened. But he was definitely dedicated to protecting Harry.

It really is sad when you think about it. He did seem like he was alone as far as his family life was concerned. With how much time he spent working and protecting others, there really didn't seem to be anyone who cared about him. Yes, the order members probably cared for him, but not like a wife and children would.

The Order probably did care for him a lot. Moody can't really show his gratitude, again in fear that it'll show affection and then he'd have a weakness, that one day they'll die and then he'll be left alone again, brokenhearted. It's really sad as you develop your thoughts. The more I think, the more depressed I become. I can't imagine how it would be like if I was Moody.

Yes, this is true. I am well aware of this fact. I need help to get more activity!

Jrtpuplvr, you're the promotions officer here and as such, it is your job to help keep activity up and promote the club. I will be PMing you shortly to discuss ways to bring the activity up and gain members that will be active. I except a rely as soon as possible.

So far we only have six active members. This is not good. We need at least ten to even get a forum and they need to be active. We don't even have enough officers.

Trust me, I am working hard to figure stuff out. Please, do not give up on the club and don't become inactive. Thank you for your support!


Discussion: You've all made great points. I doubt Moody ever got married and had children; he just doesn't seem the type. I do think that his parents loved him and perhaps something happened to them that made him want to become an Auror.

I think mostly the Order and his fellow Aurors, those he trusted were his family. He had an odd way of showing this, but he's Moody.

We know that Tonks was very close to him and was the most upset over his death in DH because he was like a guide or mentor for her. Perhaps she was like a serogate daughter to him.

He really doesn't seem to be the one that gets married, but it's possible. Things aren't always what they seem. But to some people, work comes first. It's kinda hard to imagine Moody being in love, but to keep his work in tact and to keep it up, he may have rejected to be with this "mystery woman". Who knows.

Hey everyone! Great job on the discussing! Sorry I haven't been round the last couple days, been dealing with things at home and other such nonsense. Anywho, good job on the discussion guys! I'm glad to see everyone participating and having fun!

Discussion:

I certainly agree. It's hard to imagine Moody with a lady friend. I think that perhaps he became an Auror because of his father or something. Perhaps his father died in the line of duty and he wanted to uphold his father's name and honor and find the wizard who'd done it?

I think Moody wasn't openly emotional because love and such can be a hinderence. If the badies find out, then the people you love could be in grave danger... ( like how Harry broke up with Ginny, though, he should have stayed as such...) heehee.
