I agree. I see him being a lot like his own son, Draco, perhaps even more evil and colder because, after all, Lucius was really, really cold! He probably had a club where he was the most popular and all the ladies liked him and all the guys wanted to be him.

What about his grades in school? I personally see him as doing no more than he needed to to make sure that he got good grades and attention. He was smart, so he didn't have to put out too much effort. I think he wanted to shine and be a star.

I think he did fairly well at Hogwarts. No doubt he was smart and talented, but I don't think he stood out as a student as much as Hermione might have. I think he would have been very stuck up and selective about who he was friends with, no doubt keeping it to Slytherins. I agree with Linda in thinking that he was popular with females, and probably recieved a lot of attention from them.

Well, I see Lucius as being somewhat like Draco in a way. We do know that he was a prefect during his 5th year, so he must have been an adequate student. I don't think he had to really 'earn' his title or grades so much, because of his high standing being a pureblood and all.

Oh yes, with that luscious long blond hair, he had to be popular with the ladies. But back to a similar discussion with him and Narcissa, I have this feeling that him and Cissy were "hogwarts sweethearts" in that they both had their eyes set on each other. Yet, I doubt they really started 'dating' until 7th year, or maybe even after graduation.

Hmmm...agree with herms...I think that Lucius was a lot like Draco, perhaps a bit more arrogant. As he is when we see him, that is when he is older, he is very arrogant, especially about his pure blood status and money, I dont' think this was an overnight development, I think he had been like this throughout his whole life.

I think he was probably one of the most popular boys in school, there's no doubt about that! He definitely had good looks, and most of the girls probably did anything to catch his eye...he most likely had girls fawning all over him. As far as him and Narcissa...I think that he probably had his eye on her for a long time before they started dating...the other way around too, I bet she didn't fall all over him, and was attractive, and that's why she caught his eye.

Hmmm...I think he was smart enough, and got wonderful grades. He probably didn't have to try very hard, teachers woulda probably been afraid to fail him, just like as we see with Draco, he probably threatened the "wait til my father hears about this" once or twice in his day.

As for new activities, there are two main things that we need if we hope to some day get a forum of our own:
1) 2 events - within or outside the club
2) 10 active members & also in-place officers - these will both come with time. Get your friends to join the club!


With the events, one would be like a contest (graphics, drabbles, etc.)... but this we will wait until we have all the officers selected. Speaking of which... *jumps on soapbox*

Jess - You're right, somehow the game got left behind!

If Lucius were Minister of Magic we have a pretty good idea what it would be like. He would be enjoying all the power, bestowing special favours on people he liked, especially purebloods. Muggleborns would probably not fare very well under him. Just as he was doing all along, but maybe he wouldn't be quite as obvious about it. Then again, maybe he would. After all, we all know Lucius!

Hmm. Well, he sure loves to have more power and control over people. Especially muggles and mudbloods. I think he would love to be a Minister of Magic, but I don't think he'd be a good Minister. If this would happen in time, when Voldemort was alive, we all knowwhat would it be like, but if this woul dhappen when Voldemort would be dead...the picture would be different. But, i don't think they'd let him be a Minister, after all he did.

To me, this is a very noble thing that Lucius did, because he loved his son and he also loved power and control (hence the deatheater).
So post-DH, if Lucius was offered the position of Minister, I do not think he would accept it because of how much he had changed. If he did accept it, then I don't think he would have been as naive as someone like Fudge. Also, Lucius was very smart and he knows that one wizard saves another wizard's life, he his indebted to him. Therefore, I also do not think he would be as cruel to muggleborns as he might have been before DH. He has the ability to love, and that in itself puts him at a higher standard than Voldemort. Because of his ability to love, more than his hunger for power, Lucius might make a surprisingly good Minister. If not minister, then head of another Department.

Oooh. Okay. So. After DH. Well, like you said, if they would offer Lusius a position of a Minister, I don't think he would accept it. He changed, he is different, able to love and he cares for people. That's the most important for him now, I think. He kept his family together, after all those hard moments. Voldemort wanted to kill Draco...and Lucius started to hate him for that.

I also agree, he wouldn't hurt muggleborns, mudbloods or other magical creatures, like he would do when Voldemort was alive.

I think Shaklebolt (correct me , if I'm wrong) ...was a Minister of magic after DH, so if Lucius would prove himself that he is good, and better then he was, they would give him a job in some other Department.

Buuut, despite the fact that he is good now, I believe he lay down. He didn't expose himself or his family and he didn't want anybody to know where he and his family were. Buut, that's a whole other thing to discuss.

I don't think he would hurt muggleborns or half muggles, actually, like what was going on at the end of DH, nothing like that. I just don't think he would be as kind to them as he would to the purebloods. He would find ways to slow the process up, make sure things didn't work out the way they were supposed to, that sort of thing. He would be more of an annoyance than a threat.
