Samantha Rose Magical Education | It was a chilly night, and Bellatrix Lestrange shivered as she walked down the narrow lane. She kept looking nervously over her shoulder. She put her hand in the pocket of her cloak, and cautiously grasped her wand. Suddenly, she caught sight of a shadowy figure ahead of her. She silently prepared herself to strike, not knowing if this person was friend or foe and it was always best to be on the safe side. As she came closer to the unknown figure, she heard it speak in a deep voice. Belatrix was beside herself not sure what to do.
She had to act fast. But then she stopped short because she recognised the voice. It was none other than Fenrir Greyback, werewolf and Death Eater all rolled into one. Boy do you look great despite what you've been through. I mean it has been a rough last few weeks. Bella gave a little cackle of amusement, and began to walk with Fenrir.
"So how have you been Bella?" Fenrir asked as they walked through the street, the wind whipping agaisnt them.
"Things are pretty much as usual, I always have my guard up," Bella said. "Hmm, I do not doubt that... What are you doing out here in this cold chilly night, little girls aren't supposed to be out alone..." Fenrir said with a small evil cackle. "Well i could say the same to you? What are you doing out alone tonight?" She asked raising her eyebrows.
"You know perfectly well why we're both here, Bellatrix," said Fenrir skeptically. "I guess maybe i do.." she said as she stopped in front of the old abandon house, and looked at Fenrir before stepping forward. As the pair entered the old house, they saw other figures hurrying up the walk torwards them; it looked like everyone had made it in time.
Lucius Malfoy greeted them with his usual half smile.. Hope you weren't followed. "Well if we had been, you would be right there to protect us wouldn't you lucius?" Bella smirked. "Ah, my dear sister-in-law, ever the wit," Lucius smirked back at her. What would I ever do without you. Bella snorted; some things never changed.
The three Death Eaters looked nervously at each other, none of them wanted to enter the abondaned house first.
"Shall we flip a coin?", Bellatrix quipped.
She produced the coin, here goes. Lucius wanted to be sure the coin was
good, that she was not pulling any stunts.
"Heads," said Bella as the coin flipped into the air.
"Very clever, you've managed to stick us both with tails," Lucius smirked.
As the coin fell swiftly to the floor, Bella leaned over to see what the verdict would be.
A loud gasp echoed through the crisp air, as Bella's hand rushed to her forehead in exhaustion, not wanting either of the boys to sense her fear of what was to come next,
"Oy, I feel ill Lucius."
"Am I to take it that it's tails, then?", Lucius already knew the answer.
You're one smart man Lucius, nothing gets past you, Belatrix snickered.
Although Bellatrix was frusturated that the coin toss didn't go in her favor, she put herself together in front of Lucius, took a deep breath, and entered the front door. Bellatrix blinked, needing time for her eyes to get used to the intense darkness of the room. With time, Bellatrix saw that there was a dimly lit room with a long, narrow table, at which other people were sitting. Bellatrix was surprised to find that at the very head of the table sat none other than the Dark Lord himself.
"Welcome Bella,"said Lord Voldemort in his cold voice.
Bella was startled and asked, "Did I miss hearing about a secret meeting somehow, my Lord?"
Voldemoert gave her a smirk while thinking, "Such a dedicated Death Eater."
Bellatrix bowed before the Dark Lord before taking a seat at the table.
"Lucius... Fenrir... so glad you could join us," said Voldemort now seeing the two at the doorway. The two bowed, looked around in confusion as to what was going on for a moment, and finally joined Bellatrix at the table.
Bella sitting with the others inquired who alse would be joining us .
"Just one more person remians, he's been under Dumbledore's nose for years," answerd Voldemort.
"Oh, you must mean Severus then," Bella guessed. My lord, can he be trusted , was Bella's concern as she paced back and forth.
"We will soon find out," answered the Dark Lord.
The Death Eaters waited impatienly for Snape but Voldemort seemed at ease & looked merely bored.
Bella was getting very agitated, how dare Snape keep the Dark Lord waiting like this?
Suddenly, they heard footsteps outside which sounded as though the owner was cautiously approaching.
"Ah, I believe our guest of honor is approaching," said the Dark Lord.
The door opened, and there stood Snape, wearing his usual black robes, his hair as greasy as ever.
"Such a boon for the shampoo industry," Bellatrix commented snidely, a wide smirk on her face.
Snape ran a finger up to the bottom of his hair and bounced it lightly in his hands, as he responded snidely back, "Oh am I to take it that you would like some?"
Bella's smirk vanshed instantly from her face as though Snape had used a Vanishing Spell.
"Please, Severus, I would thank you to keep that ball of grease far away from me," she said.
"But I think it's a look that would be quite fitting on you Bella," Snape said with a curt smile.
Bellatrix scowled at Severus, a look that could almost knock a person dead.
Snape took his seat at the table, trying to get as close to the Dark Lord as possible.
Seeing that everyone was now present, Voldemort began to address the group of Death Eaters.
"It may or may not surprise you that Harry Potter is once again the source of our trouble," he began.
"I will kill the Potter brat now, my Lord," Bellatrix said.
"My dear Bella," Voldemort scoffed. "If it were that simple, I would dispose of him myself."
Bellatrix was in awe of the Dark Lord as he said this and said, "But my Lord, I want to aid in his killing!"
The Dark Lord smiled. "I expected as much. There is something you can do for me, my dear Bella."
Bellatrix leaned forward eagerly. "My Lord, simply say the word and I will do it."
"I knew you would be enthusiastic," Voldemort replied. "I need you to trick the boy into going to the Shrieking Shack. I do not care how you manage this; try any spell or charm you know. Just make sure he is there when I need him to be."
"My Lord I will do everything in my power! Please trust in me and I will make sure I get him right where you want him! Tonight!" Bellatrix exclaimed.
"Do not disappoint me Bella. You know the consequences, I am sure," Voldemort replied.
Bellatrix now bowed low out of respect to Lord Voldemort, "I will not disappoint you. I would rather die than disappoint you My Lord!" she exclaimed, and with this, she was all set to leave, but not without adding, "Tonight will be the end of the eensy weensy Potter!" She cackled loudly, and with the turn of her robe, she was ready to leave.
But she turned back as if struck by an idea. "My Lord, Should I take care of that Granger girl & Weasley boy, too?"
"If you must. Potter is top priority, but if those pesky friends of his stand in his way, dispose of them."
Bella grinned. She had been hoping for this answer.
"May I be excused, my Lord, to go forth and carry out this mission?", Bella asked hopefully.
Lord Voldemort nodded. Bella smirked at Snape, who looked taken aback that she had been given a mission of such importance. She was almost at the door, when Snape cornered her and whispered in her ear, "Bella! Wait! There's something you need to know!"
Oh? And what might that be, greaser boy?", Bella replied, a smug, confident look on her face.
"I have taught Potter for several years, Bella," Snape began, "and I must warn you what he is capable of. Naturally, the boy is dreadful at Potions, but he's quite gifted at the Dark Arts. Do not be over confident in this mission Bella!"
"Oh, I'm not worried about him," Bella said assuredly. "He can't have anywhere near the level of skills that I do. I think you are overestimating the boy."
Snape smirked, as if he knew this would be her reply. "Very well then. Good luck on your mission."
"Thanks, but I won't need it," Bella said, and scurried off.
As Bella disapparated in the narrow lane, she thought of Snape. It was so very like him to try to dampen her mission. Perhaps he's jealous, she thought.
She shook it off, tonight was her moment to prove once and for all who was the most loyal to the Dark Lord. She would not fail.
As Bella proceeded down the dark alleyway, she suddenly caught sight of the Potter brat. |

She didn't hesitate for a minute, her wand slashed through the air with such authority that the air itself seemed to cower under her malice.
Potter unexpectedly whirled around and dodged Bella's hex. She cursed under her breath. She let a inhuman growl escape her lips, she tore down the street after him, She fired out a triple stunner aiming directly at the back of his head. |
