Discussion - Bellatrix was no doubt both happy and victorious after she killed Sirius. She hated him after all, and felt she had done a real service to the Black family.

Same thing with Tonks. Bellatrix hated her own sister Andromeda, she had been disowned from the family, and she regarded Tonks as a disgrace. I'm sure she was very happy when she killed her.

Discussions - Ooh well, I suppose you are right, but still..how can one person hate his family so much? I know this is a book and all XD...but still. The most important reason is, I think, that half of her family were half-bloods. And Weasley family - blood traitors, of course. We all know Bellatrix hated mudbloods, halfbloods and all who weren't purebloods. But, maybe it's something more behind his: Her mother/father/aunt..whoever, might have done something to her. This is just my imagination, of course XD

I think that the hatred that Bella feels towards her family is due, to the pureblood. But i don't she hates them, as people. If she even took the chance to know them. She was so used to jumping to the fact that, halfbloods, and mudbloods, and blood tratoirs, were bad. That she didn't think about their skill, or what they were good at, or what they liked. I think it was something her parents forced her into thinking, and now she doesn't know anything better.

You guys are right, of course. But, the main driving force behind Bella's hatred, perhaps stronger than anything else, was the fact that she was just plain crazy! (Forgot to mention that earlier.)

I agree that Bella's mental state pushed her family away and was the foundation for a lot of her hate towards them. I wonder how it would have been different if her family got her help.

I also agree with you guys, her mental state was a huge part of what went down with her family. I think if her family had gotten her help, things would have been alot different, i think she would have cared about things more, and not been so horrible.
