Aberforth needs his own club because he is just as good in life as his brother was. Without him, Harry wouldn't be around for the whole battle at hogwarts! Not only that, but his obsession with goats adds humor to his charcter, and that is why he needs a club.

Aberforth showed that he is a great character to all of us. If it wasn't for him and his bravery, things could have turned out a lot differently. The thing that distinguishs him from other characters is his having a goat patronus and the whole thing with goats in general. Besides being Albus' brother, I think he will always be remembered for that. A wonderful character, and he needs our support in a club of his own!

Aberforth is not Albus, he is very different from him. Aberforth is the Dumbledore families "black sheep" and yet, that is what makes him part of the family.

He is his own person, and remained his brother's friend for many years while he was shunted aside in Albus' shadow. For that I think Aberforth deserves a fanclub...as well as the fact that he is an oddity.

I think they would have developed their relationship more if Grindelwald was never in the picture. When kids are young, most older siblings ignore the younger ones. But as they get older, many of them find commonalities and grow closer. Now, I'm not saying they'd be best friends, but I certainly think they would have had a much healthier, more developed relationship.

I agree! Grindelwald was really the straw that broke the camel's back. That was something that Ab just could not tolerate, especially at that time with the situation with Ariana.

I have to disagree, once more. I agree with Mathi though.

Before Grindelwald, things weren't THAT different. Yes, it had taken the incident of losing Ariana caused by Grindelwald and Albus to push him to just disown his brother - if you will, But, if that never happened, Albus could have easily done something to cause Aberforth to end their family relationship - Since they weren't exactily close to begin with. So yes, Grindelwald had to do with it. BUT in the end, it really comes back to Albus and Aberforth.
